Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Is this the art of fishing?

This is fish blasting!

Klee: "Wow, that big brother is amazing! His fish-blasting skills are way better than Klee's."

Jean: "Sigh... Just as Yae Miko said, we shouldn't treat the opening as the main story."

Lisa: "Jean, haven't you noticed? The mountains and the land where he's blasting fish look just like our Mondstadt."

Jean: "Lisa, you don't mean to say that Kael lived in Mondstadt in this life, do you?"

Venti: "Eh! No way."

Zhongli: "Judging by Kael's fishing technique, he might be a man of quick and bold action."

Kaeya: "This feeling, this momentum... he feels like a grown-up version of Klee."

Jean: "I just wonder which timeline of Mondstadt he was born into."

Alice: "Hey, hey, Jean, don't get any wild ideas. We elves are different from you humans. Klee is my own daughter."

Barbara: "May the Anemo Archon protect Mondstadt."

Klee: "Oh, look! Big brother is in trouble! He blasted someone!"

[Kael looked around, feeling proud of his harvest.]

[But suddenly, his breath hitched.]

[On the empty beach, a figure had appeared. They were lying motionless on the sand.]

[Short golden hair, white boots, and a blue-and-white dress.]

[From any angle...]

[The person looked like a young girl.]

['It's over.']

['Did I actually blast someone to death?']

[Kael's mouth twitched. He instinctively looked around.]

['Hopefully, no one saw that.']

The atmosphere was suffocating!

Everyone analyzed the images on the light screen.

The person lying on the beach was definitely the Traveler, Lumine.

Her outfit was far too famous to miss.

But judging by Kael's reaction, he didn't recognize Lumine at all.

He was just looking around to see if anyone noticed his "accident."

Im... impressive.

As expected of a Reincarnator.

In his very first scene, he blasted the Traveler to death.

Inside Kael's home.

Furina stood there, shocked.

The plot had completely exceeded her imagination.

A Reincarnator blasting the Traveler?

What a thrilling plot! This was much more exciting than any drama at the Opera House.

Lumine: "Ah! Is that me?"

Paimon: "This is too much! The Reincarnator actually blasted the Traveler!"

Venti: "This..."

Jean: "Is the timeline of Kael's life the same one where Lumine was in Mondstadt?"

Lisa: "But why is there no sign of Paimon?"

Arataki Itto: "She must have been blown away! Hahaha! After all, she's so tiny."

Paimon: "That's mean! I'm getting angry!"

Paimon: "But why were the Traveler and I in the water? It doesn't make sense. And we never met a Reincarnator in Mondstadt."

Venti: "A Reincarnator, huh? I see..."

Tartaglia: "What do you mean?"

Venti: "Ehe, nothing. There shouldn't be any problem with this system."

Paimon: "There you go again, you tone-deaf bard! I hate people who talk in riddles!"

Nahida: "A story of reincarnation? It's like a dream that keeps looping."

Zhongli: "Ahem. From a common-sense perspective, it is best to treat this as a story. Do not take it too seriously."

[Kael hurried to the girl's side.]

[He flipped her over.]

[He placed a finger under her nose.]

[Feeling her breath, Kael finally let out a long sigh of relief.]

[The tension on his face relaxed: 'Good, she's still breathing. It looks like she's not dead yet.']

Lumine: "It really is me."

Lumine: "Wait, what does he mean by 'not dead yet'? I wouldn't die from that!"

Hu Tao: "Traveler, do you need to book a funeral in advance? I feel like you and this Reincarnator just don't mix."

Lumine: "..."

[Seeing that Lumine was still breathing...]

[Kael wiped the mud and sand off her face.]

[Lumine's delicate and beautiful face made Kael pause for a moment.]

[He sighed in relief again: 'Fortunately, she wasn't disfigured by the explosion.']

[As if remembering something...]

[Kael quickly turned Lumine over, checking her body thoroughly.]

[*Whew!*]

['There isn't a single blast mark on her. It looks like this has nothing to do with me.']

['She probably just drowned.']

*Pfft!*

On the streets of the Court of Fontaine, Lumine nearly spat out a mouthful of blood.

"That damn Kael! What is he doing?"

"Checking for blast marks? Did he need to be that thorough?!"

"Curse him! If I find out where he is, I'm going to kill him!"

Paimon: "Traveler, calm down!"

Lumine: "That bastard! Just because she 'simply drowned' means it's not his fault? Maybe I drowned because he was blasting fish!"

Jean: "I think the most important thing right now is saving her."

Lisa: "Jean, look. The Reincarnator is saving the Traveler."

Lumine: "No! Shut up! Stop it!"

[Kael started performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.]

[*Splash!*]

[A bit of lake water sprayed out of Lumine's mouth, hitting Kael right in the face.]

[But his hard work paid off.]

[Lumine let out a soft moan.]

[Her breathing finally steadied.]

[*Whew!*]

['I didn't expect saving a drowning person to be so exhausting.']

[Kael wiped the water from his face.]

[He looked at the unconscious Lumine.]

[Then he checked the time.]

['I can't just leave her here alone.']

['Even if she doesn't run into Hilichurls or Slimes, she's weak and soaking wet. She'll get sick.']

[Kael stared at Lumine for a long time. Finally, he made up his mind.]

[He gathered the fish on the beach.]

[Then, hoisting Lumine over his shoulder, he headed deep into the forest.]
