[Asauchi]
Origin: Derivative World - Bleach
Rarity: Fine
Weapon Type: Sword / Blade
Durability: 30/30
Sharpness: 11
Toughness: 11
Details: Forged by Oetsu Nimaiya. Once its wielder imbues the blade with their own spirit, beliefs, and soul, it evolves into a completely unique Zanpakuto. Oetsu Nimaiya himself dubs it "the ultimate Zanpakuto with infinite potential."
[Weapon Skill 1 (Passive): Resonance]
Description: Commune with the Asauchi. Upon learning its true name, you will awaken your own unique Zanpakuto.
Current Resonance Progress: 0%
Evaluation: It might look like standard-issue infantry gear, but it truly possesses boundless potential.
Sitting cross-legged on his bed, Lu Li dismissed the holographic text detailing the Asauchi and opened his newly acquired basic inventory, a starter perk from his Terminus Space contract.
According to the terms, if he survived this Trial World and officially became an Explorer, he would unlock a permanent spatial storage dimension, making inventory management significantly easier.
He had arrived at the Seireitei under the cover of night. Thanks to Captain Unohana's direct recommendation, he bypassed the usual bureaucratic nightmare and was registered as a prospective transfer student at the Shin'o Academy.
He was only "prospective" because it wasn't the official enrollment season. Unohana's prestige had bought him a foot in the door, but he still had to pass a mandatory entrance exam to prove he wasn't a complete waste of space. It was just a formality to patch up the administrative loopholes.
Unohana clearly didn't think the exam would pose any threat to him. Even the Academy instructor who processed his dorm assignment treated him like he was already an official student.
Lu Li, however, wasn't quite as confident. He had read parts of the Bleach manga, but he had absolutely no idea what the Shin'o Academy actually tested. If the exam required him to recite complex Kido incantations, he was going to be in serious trouble.
"Room 406..."
Lu Li muttered, double-checking the wooden plaque beside the door before knocking lightly.
The living conditions for Academy students were surprisingly lavish, with only two students assigned per dorm. According to the housing instructor, his new roommate was supposedly an outstanding student—top of his class, incredibly polite, and more than willing to help a newcomer catch up on coursework.
A dozen seconds later, the door slid open.
Standing in the doorway was a young man with soft brown hair and warm brown eyes. Framed by thick black glasses, his gaze was as gentle as the morning sun, accompanied by a modest, welcoming smile. He looked like the textbook definition of a harmless, friendly upperclassman.
You've got to be kidding me. That was Lu Li's immediate, visceral reaction.
He analyzed the roommate standing before him. The appearance, the demeanor, and the faint, blaring siren going off in his internalized "danger radar" all pointed to a single, terrifying conclusion.
His roommate was one of the most dangerous entities in the entire canon universe... Sosuke Aizen.
"Can I help you?" the brown-haired young man asked smoothly.
Lu Li snapped out of his daze. "Hello. I'm Lu Li, a new transfer student. I've been assigned to this room."
"Ah, I see." The young man's smile widened slightly. "I'm Sosuke Aizen. Welcome to your new home."
Stepping aside to let him in, Aizen even enthusiastically offered to help Lu Li set up his bed.
As they conversed, Lu Li became absolutely certain of his roommate's identity. This seemingly harmless, gentle boy was the future overlord of hair gel, god-complexes, and villainous monologues. Hell, the man made sitting bound in a chair look cooler than most people did fighting for their lives. His sense of style and sheer presence were unparalleled.
But admittedly, interacting with this younger version of Aizen was actually quite pleasant. He was playing the role of the perfect, model roommate flawlessly. Not only did he help Lu Li arrange his bedding and explain the dorm's various amenities, but he also patiently answered a barrage of questions about the Shin'o Academy without a single hint of annoyance.
No wonder the housing instructor called him a "good kid." Everyone loved dealing with a guy like this.
"By the way, Aizen, what year are you in?" Lu Li asked, taking a seat on his freshly made bed.
Since I'm already here, I might as well make the best of it, he thought. No matter how dangerous Aizen would eventually become, he was still young and unlikely to pull any massive world-ending stunts right now. At the very least, he wouldn't dare act out in the middle of the Academy. The young Aizen's ambitions were likely still in their infancy, entirely focused on his sick hobby of playing a harmless sheep to manipulate the wolves.
"Just Sosuke is fine. And there's no need for formalities; I'm not your senior. I'm a first-year student, just like you," Aizen replied warmly, handing Lu Li a freshly brewed cup of black tea.
"No wonder we got assigned together." Lu Li nodded in sudden realization.
Taking the cup politely, he covertly cast a quick appraisal skill from his system interface to ensure it wasn't spiked with some sort of paralyzing agent, before taking a cautious sip. Judging by how knowledgeable Aizen was about the Academy's inner workings, Lu Li had assumed the guy was a seasoned upperclassman. He hadn't expected them to be in the exact same cohort, meaning Aizen had only been studying here for a few months longer than him.
They chatted for a bit longer before lights out. But as the room plunged into darkness, Lu Li noticed Aizen didn't go to sleep. Instead, he sat cross-legged on his bed, his Zanpakuto resting horizontally across his lap, seemingly meditating or communing with his blade.
So that's how Soul Reapers train their Reiatsu, Lu Li figured. It only made sense that Aizen was an absolute monster later on. Not only was he born with god-tier talent, but the bastard was also a relentless try-hard.
Sensing Lu Li's gaze in the dark, Aizen opened his eyes, flashing a slightly apologetic smile. "If my meditation is disturbing your rest, I can step out onto the balcony."
"Not at all," Lu Li chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Who knows, maybe we'll be sparring together soon."
Turning over, he closed his eyes and feigned sleep.
He had successfully infiltrated the Shin'o Academy. As long as nothing went catastrophically wrong during tomorrow's entrance exam, the first phase of his Main Mission would be complete. For now, he was safe. It was time to thoroughly review his own loadout.
With a thought, Lu Li opened the Terminus Space interface. Due to the chaotic events of the day, he hadn't had a proper chance to explore the system menus.
Aside from his core attributes, he noticed tabs for [Bloodline], [Cultivation Methods], [Skills], and [Talents].
His Cultivation Method tab was entirely blank. In his original era, legendary martial arts techniques that defied physics had long since been lost to history; all he possessed were pure, physical combat techniques. Some of his martial arts moves had been automatically categorized into the [Skills] tab, creating a messy list of both lethal strikes and flashy maneuvers, but he decided to review those later.
His [Bloodline] tab was also empty. He was a pure, unadulterated baseline human who had never relied on corporate cybernetics or genetic splicing.
The tab that truly caught his eye was [Talents]. After pulling it open, he finally understood the true source of his monstrous physical strength.
[Talent: Limiter - Initial Release]
Rating: S-Class (Scale: E- to SSS+)
Details: Your biological limiter has been partially shattered, granting you near-infinite growth potential. Through rigorous physical conditioning, you can completely bypass the natural limits of the human body to attain god-like strength.
Talent Skill (Passive): Limit Removal. Any training or conditioning aimed at enhancing the Explorer's physical attributes receives a +1000% efficiency buff.
Evaluation: Oh god... you aren't going to go bald, are you?
Lu Li stared at the system's evaluation, barely suppressing a laugh. He didn't know what his limiter had to do with going bald, but the stats were absolutely terrifying.
...
The next morning.
Clear spring water babbled over smooth stones, the rhythmic clack of a bamboo shishi-odoshi echoing through the courtyard. Warm sunlight filtered through the paper screens, casting a soft glow over Lu Li's face as he stared intently at the stone pedestal in front of him.
The dojo was packed with dozens of young Academy students clad in white training uniforms, all whispering and casting curious glances at the rugged newcomer.
His entrance exam had officially begun.
Even though Aizen had promised the test was simple, Lu Li hadn't expected it to be this casual. He had envisioned being dragged into some secretive underground bunker for specialized testing. Clearly, he had overestimated the Academy's paranoia.
According to Fujimoto-sensei, the stern Kendo instructor overseeing the evaluation, the exam consisted of two simple tests. If Lu Li passed the first one—the Reiryoku Assessment—he would instantly be classified as an official Shin'o Academy student.
Furthermore, the passing threshold was laughably low. As long as his spiritual energy could trigger a reaction from the testing apparatus, he possessed enough raw talent to enroll.
It made sense. In this world, the average Gotei 13 grunt barely possessed a Class 20 Spiritual Pressure. Meaning most Academy graduates plateaued right around that mark. If the Shin'o Academy demanded applicants to already possess a Class 20 Spiritual Pressure before they even started training, the Gotei 13 would run out of fresh recruits in a week.
Under the watchful eyes of the students—including a mildly curious Aizen—Lu Li stepped up to the strange stone pedestal.
The device was purportedly invented by the current Captain of the Twelfth Division, Kirio Hikifune, designed to perfectly quantify a soul's Spiritual Pressure class. To accommodate raw recruits, the machine had an ultra-sensitive sub-gauge with ten micro-levels below the standard Class 20 baseline. Lighting up the 3rd micro-level was all it took to pass the entrance exam.
Lu Li kept his eyes locked on the crystal display screen embedded in the stone. Truth be told, he was incredibly curious to see exactly how much Spiritual Pressure a baseline human martial artist packed.
