Kuro fell silent.
He had completely forgotten.
"…Oh."
A brief answer, yet clearly—he realized.
A few seconds passed.
Then Kuro let out a small sigh.
"Heh… for some reason," he admitted honestly, "I prefer it when you scold me like that."
He cast her a quick glance.
"Compared to that 'sharing love' side of yours… which is clearly suspicious."
Silence.
Kama's cheeks tinged faintly red.
She didn't immediately look back.
Instead, she turned slightly.
"…You really are…"
Her voice was soft. Softer than usual.
"…truly strange."
She crossed her arms, trying to regain her usual composure.
"…Being praised like that… actually makes me uncomfortable. It's disgusting, Master-san."
Yet, the corners of her lips lifted slightly.
Of course, she would never admit it.
Kama, at her core, was someone who enjoyed seeing others fall—those who were happy were made miserable, and those already suffering… were pushed even deeper.
She didn't even hesitate to ruin other people's relationships, tearing apart what was called "love" just to watch everything collapse.
Worse still, she took pleasure in cruel methods—like slowly strangling someone with silk thread—beautiful on the outside, yet mercilessly deadly.
In other words, Kama was an almost perfect "villain boss."
Yet behind her authority and dangerous nature, she was a pessimist.
She found most things troublesome and uninteresting, making her actions often appear casual, even indifferent.
No matter how much someone tried to persuade her with enthusiastic words, she would not be moved.
She was the type almost impossible to soften.
Yet—the truth was quite the opposite.
She was weak.
Not in strength.
But in her feelings.
Kama wanted to be loved.
And all her pessimistic, cold demeanor, along with her cunning ways… were merely methods to draw attention.
She was a goddess who would act strangely when pressed—her cheeks flushing, her attitude becoming more insistent, often without her realizing it.
Just as had happened recently.
Unintentionally, Kuro had touched that side of her.
Because, in the end—Kama was a "heavy" goddess.
Yet if someone managed to open her heart, she would not hold back.
She would devote herself completely.
And at the same time—continue to expect something in return.
A form of love that… was anything but simple.

The afternoon sunlight streamed through the window of the Tokitou residence's living room.
On the sofa, Yuki and Kama—currently in her teenage form—lay casually, surrounded by toy medical tools scattered around, yet still neatly arranged.
Simply put, they were playing doctor. More precisely, Yuki was the one who invited Kama to play.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Yuki, Kuro continued his usual activities—observing the potential Masters in the Grail War and monitoring the state of Fuyuki City.
In the middle of the game, Yuki seriously pressed a real stethoscope against Kama's chest.
Her face was focused.
Her brows slightly furrowed, as if she were truly conducting an important examination.
On the other hand, Kama simply stared at the ceiling with her usual lazy expression.
To her, this still made no sense.
She didn't really understand what was so interesting about a game like this.
However, she had already promised Kuro not to cause trouble for Yuki.
And Kama was not the type to break her word without reason.
She simply treated this as part of her plan to make Kuro "owe" her—and later… she would collect on it.
At least, that was the mindset she held for now.
That was why she stayed here.
Playing along.
Instead of lazing around on the sofa, going to find Kuro, or doing things more in line with her true nature.
Moreover, this world itself was quite interesting to her: the Fate/stay night timeline.
The existence of someone like Sakura—whom she used as the basis for her current vessel—even extending to her Beast form, along with Shirou and Rin.
All of that added a unique color to her perspective.
"…Nee-san, don't move, okay?"
Yuki's voice was soft, yet serious.
Her hand still held the stethoscope.
"…Your heartbeat…"
She paused for a moment.
Listening more closely.
Her face leaned in slightly.
"…is strange."
Kama glanced at her briefly.
"…Strange?"
Yuki gave a small nod.
"…Fast… but soft."
She looked confused by her own words.
"…Like… it's not the same as a normal person's."
Kama fell silent for a moment.
Then she closed her eyes.
"…Of course."
Her answer was flat.
"Because I'm not human."
Yuki paused.
The stethoscope still rested against Kama.
She stayed quiet for a few seconds.
"…Hmm…"
She thought.
Seriously.
Then she nodded slowly, as if accepting the answer without much question.
"…That means… the illness is different."
She pulled the stethoscope away, then looked at Kama with a small yet determined sense of responsibility.
"…But it's okay."
Her voice was gentle.
"…I can still treat you."
Kama opened one eye.
Looking at Yuki.
A brief silence followed.
"…Oh?"
Yuki nodded more confidently.
"…Yes."
She picked up one of the toys beside her.
"…As a doctor… I have to heal all my patients."
Her voice was small, yet firm.
Kama watched her for a few more seconds, then closed her eyelids again.
"…Do as you like."
Her answer was casual.
Yet there was no refusal.
Yuki gave a small smile, then stood up and walked to the kitchen. She opened the fridge, took something out, and returned shortly after.
In her hands was a bowl of strawberries.
She picked up one and held it out toward Kama.
"Nee-san," she said gently. "Open your mouth. Say 'ah~' and take your medicine."
Kama opened one eye.
She looked at the small fruit in front of her.
Then she glanced at Yuki.
A brief silence.
"…Medicine?" she repeated softly.
Her voice was flat, yet there was a subtle hint of confusion in it.
Yuki nodded.
"Yes," she answered briefly. "This is the medicine. So Nee-san can get better… and Uncle will be happy."
Kama remained silent.
Yuki continued, still with the same innocence.
"Wouldn't a husband be happy to see his wife healthy and happy?"
Silence.
A few seconds felt longer than usual.
Kama didn't respond immediately.
Her gaze slowly returned to the strawberry, and without many words, she parted her lips slightly.
"…Ah~"
Her voice was soft.
Almost inaudible.
Yuki immediately smiled and carefully fed her.
Kama chewed slowly.
Sweet.
Simple.
Yet, for some reason… it didn't feel bothersome.
She swallowed.
Then—her cheeks flushed faintly.
Almost imperceptibly.
"…You…"
she murmured softly.
Her eyes narrowed slightly—not in annoyance, but something harder to define.
"…really say troublesome things for a child your age."
She turned her face slightly.
As if avoiding Yuki's gaze.
Yet—there was no refusal.
No sarcasm.
Just a small reaction… one she didn't fully understand herself.
Yuki sat back down beside Kama, putting the stethoscope back on with the same serious expression as before.
She leaned in slightly, then carefully placed the tip of the stethoscope on Kama's chest once again.
"…Don't move," she whispered softly, as if afraid of disrupting her own "important examination."
Kama didn't respond.
She just let it happen.
Her eyes half-closed, her body still lying on the sofa.
But this time—the heartbeat was different.
Yuki furrowed her brows again.
Focused.
Listening longer than before.
Several seconds passed in silence.
"…Hmm…"
She tilted her head slightly.
"…Earlier… it was fast but gentle…"
She paused, trying to find the right words.
"…Now it's still fast…"
Her hand unconsciously pressed the stethoscope a little tighter.
"…but… stronger."
She lifted her face, looking at Kama with eyes full of curiosity.
"…Is the medicine working…?"
Silence.
Kama slowly opened her eyes.
She stared at the ceiling for a moment, then shifted her gaze toward Yuki.
For several seconds, she didn't answer.
As if truly considering the question—or perhaps… something else.
Her hand moved slowly, touching her own chest, right where Yuki had placed the stethoscope earlier.
The heartbeat… was clearly noticeable.
More "alive" than usual.
She let out a soft sigh.
"…Who knows."
Her answer was light.
But this time, her tone wasn't completely flat.
There was a subtle tremor—almost as if she was holding something back.
Her eyes narrowed slightly again, looking at Yuki.
"…If this is what you call 'medicine'…"
She paused for a moment.
Then shifted her gaze, turning her face slightly away as before.
"…the effect is… rather disturbing."
Her voice sounded like a mild complaint.
Yet there was no rejection in it.
In fact—her cheeks flushed faintly once more.
"…But…"
She added softly, almost like a murmur not truly meant to be heard.
"…not bad."
A brief silence followed.
Kama looked at Yuki again.
"…If further treatment is necessary…"
She paused for a moment, as if weighing her words—or perhaps just guarding her pride.
"…just do it."
Her tone remained casual.
Yet somehow—this time it sounded more like permission.
Yuki stayed silent for a moment.
She thought, recalling something from a TV program she had watched earlier—about patient rehabilitation to help them recover faster.
Her eyes brightened slightly.
"Nee-san," she said softly.
"Let's go out for a walk."
"A walk?" Kama repeated.

What do you think about this chapter?
Occasionally telling something other than the intimate relationship between our main character and Kama isn't a bad thing. Besides, doing that too often wouldn't be good for our MC's back health anyway 😌
