Chapter 1 - The World Turned Upside Down

Hell… a place where those who commit sins are punished with unbearable suffering.

Heaven… a realm where the righteous are rewarded with peace and luxury.

But the world I live in…

…is the complete opposite.

Here, the wicked live like kings—treated with luxury, respect, and power.

And the ones who choose to do good…

…are the ones who suffer.

"My name is Yash."

"And this… is the story of my Abyss."

Past — 2018

The classroom was filled with noise, chaos echoing from the back benches.

"Catch him! Don't let him escape!" Ram shouted.

"I got him, bro!"

Two boys grabbed Yash and dragged him back.

Ram walked toward him slowly, cracking his knuckles.

"So… you like running, huh?"

"Let me teach you what happens when you try to escape."

Just as he was about to strike—

The classroom door opened.

The teacher stepped inside.

"What's going on back there?"

Ram immediately smiled.

"Nothing, sir. Just teaching one of your students some manners."

The teacher glanced for a second… then looked away.

"Do whatever you want. Everyone else, focus on your studies."

Yash struggled to speak.

"Sir… they're bullying me…"

No response.

No help.

Only silence.

So this is how it is…

Moments later—

Punches.

Kicks.

Pain.

It didn't stop.

Not until darkness swallowed everything.

Present — 2026

Knock. Knock.

"Master… Master…"

Yash slowly lifted his head from the table.

"I'm still alive… not dead yet."

The room was dark, almost suffocating. He sat there in a hoodie, his face hidden in shadows, a diary open in front of him.

Another day in this twisted world…

"Master, aren't you going out today?" the bodyguard asked.

"Yeah… I'm coming."

Yash opened the door.

The sudden light hit his eyes, forcing him to cover his face.

After a moment, he stepped outside.

At the Street

"Sweta, can we do today's homework together?" Rahul asked.

She smiled playfully.

"Of course. You just want an excuse to spend time with me."

Rahul panicked.

"N-no, it's not like that!"

"Oh really?" she laughed.

"Look, a convenience store. Let's grab something."

"Yeah, sure."

As they walked out—

Bump.

Rahul collided with someone.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, sir… I didn't see you."

Yash looked at him calmly.

"It's fine."

Then he paused.

"Just… don't take the back alley today."

Rahul frowned.

"Huh… okay."

As Yash walked away—

Sweta whispered, "Who was that?"

"No idea…"

"But what he said was weird."

"The back alley is the shortest route."

"Let's just go."

Rahul hesitated.

Something feels off…

"Yeah… okay."

The Alley

The alley was quiet.

Too quiet.

Halfway through—

They stopped.

A group of men blocked their path.

"Well, well… what do we have here?" Raj smirked.

"A couple. Today's our lucky day."

His friends laughed.

Rahul stepped forward.

"Don't you dare look at Sweta—"

Raj interrupted him.

"Oh? So her name is Sweta?"

"Nice."

Rahul was suddenly grabbed from behind.

"Abe—!"

Raj walked closer to Sweta.

"Today… is going to be fun."

A Voice from the Darkness

"I told you not to take this path."

Everyone froze.

Yash stepped out of the shadows.

"But people never listen, do they?"

Raj frowned.

"And who the hell are you?"

Yash's eyes were cold.

"Someone who doesn't like stray dogs."

"What did you just say?!"

"Drop your stuff and get lost," one of them shouted.

"We'll handle the girl."

Yash sighed.

Hopeless…

"So you won't listen…"

A faint smile appeared.

"Fine."

"Let's play."

"Villain vs Villain."

Fight

They all attacked at once.

Yash didn't move.

Not even an inch.

And yet—

Within seconds…

Thud.

Thud.

Thud.

Bodies dropped one after another.

Unconscious.

Raj's hands trembled.

"W-What did you do…?"

Yash looked at him.

"Come."

"See for yourself."

Raj charged in anger.

"Die!"

The next second—

Silence.

He collapsed.

Aftermath

Yash turned toward Rahul and Sweta.

"Go home."

"This place isn't safe."

"And next time… listen when someone warns you."

Rahul nodded nervously.

"T-Thank you…"

They ran away.

Meanwhile

"Where is Master?" one bodyguard asked.

"He'll be fine—"

"No… you don't understand."

"There was a case…"

"Some mafia used bullied kids to sell drugs."

"They were destroyed."

"Completely."

"And the one who did it…"

"Was Master."

The other bodyguard froze.

"What…?"

Return

"Master, we found you."

"Oh… you guys."

"Sir, it's time to go."

Yash glanced at the unconscious bodies.

"What about them?"

He smirked.

"What do we do with trash?"

The bodyguard nodded.

"Understood."

Night — Unknown Location

Raj slowly opened his eyes.

"W-Where am I…?"

"Shhh…"

A man stood in front of him.

"Stay quiet."

"I'll ask questions."

"And if you don't answer…"

A gunshot echoed.

One of his friends dropped dead instantly.

Silence.

Terror.

"Now…"

The man smiled.

"Have you met the Devil?"

"I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Oh… my bad."

He pulled out a photo.

"This guy."

Raj's eyes widened.

"H-him…"

"Yes."

"That's the Devil."

The man looked at the sky and laughed.

"Let's see how long you can run…"

"Devil…"

He paused.

Then smiled.

"Oh wait…"

"Yash."
