Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: The Map

One rainy afternoon, Aarav's mother asked him to clean an old storage room. It was dusty, dark, and filled with forgotten things—broken tools, old clothes, and wooden boxes.

As Aarav moved things around, he noticed a small box hidden in a corner.

It looked different.

Old… yet important.

Curious, he opened it.

Inside, he found a folded piece of paper.

As he opened it, dust flew into the air. The paper was yellow and fragile, as if it had been waiting for years to be discovered.

It was a map.

But not an ordinary one.

Strange symbols were drawn across it—curved lines, circles, and marks he had never seen before. It showed paths leading beyond the village, through unknown places.

At the center, written in faded ink:

"The Horizon is Not the End."

Aarav's heartbeat quickened.

This was not just a drawing.

It was a message.

He ran to his parents.

"Look what I found!"

His father glanced at it briefly.

"Just an old paper. Probably useless."

"But Papa, what if it's real? What if it leads somewhere?"

His father shook his head.

"Life isn't a story, Aarav. Don't waste time on such things."

But Aarav couldn't ignore it.

That night, when everyone slept, he sat under a dim lantern and studied the map.

It showed a path—

From his village…

Across the hill…

Into a forest…

Then a river…

Then a valley…

And finally—

A glowing circle.

Aarav touched the map gently.

"I have to find this," he whispered.
