Chapter 1 - The Girl Everyone Feared

St. Aurora High School didn't feel like a normal school.

It felt… elite.

Tall glass buildings reflected the sunlight, perfectly trimmed lawns spread across the campus, and luxury cars lined up outside the gates every morning. Students here weren't ordinary — they were rich, talented, confident… and sometimes, dangerous.

But even in a place like this, there was one name that stood above all.

Aarya Singhania.

You could hear whispers about her in every corridor.

"She rejected him in front of the whole class…"

"She made him cry…"

"She doesn't even look at anyone twice…"

Students admired her… feared her… and still, somehow, fell for her.

Because Aarya wasn't just beautiful.

She was… unforgettable.

Her long black hair flowed like silk, her sharp eyes held a cold calmness, and her confidence made even teachers hesitate before correcting her. She walked through the corridors like she owned them.

Untouchable.

Unreachable.

And completely alone.

That morning, the classroom buzzed with excitement.

"Bro, today I'm going to confess," a boy whispered nervously to his friends.

"Are you crazy? It's Aarya!" another said.

"I don't care… I've liked her for two years."

Across the room, Aarya sat by the window, looking outside. The sunlight touched her face, but her expression didn't change.

Cold. Distant.

Like she didn't belong here.

The boy finally gathered courage and walked toward her.

The entire class went silent.

Everyone knew what was about to happen.

He stopped in front of her desk, his hands shaking.

"A-Aarya… I… I like you."

Aarya slowly turned her head and looked at him.

Just one look.

And his confidence started breaking.

"Do you even hear yourself?" she said calmly.

The boy froze.

"You think this is some movie? That I'll smile and say yes?"

A few students quietly laughed.

His face turned red.

"I just… wanted to tell you how I feel—"

"Then keep it to yourself next time."

Her voice wasn't loud.

But it cut deep.

"People like you… shouldn't even think about standing next to me."

Silence.

Complete silence.

The boy stepped back, humiliated, his eyes filled with tears. He quickly left the class while others whispered and smirked.

Aarya turned back to the window.

Like nothing had happened.

But for a second…

Just a second…

Her fingers tightened slightly.

And her eyes…

They weren't cold anymore.

They were tired.

No one noticed.

Or maybe…

No one cared.
