Chapter 28 - The Truth of Power

The air grew colder.

Heavier.

Aarya's breathing slowed.

Not from calm—

But from pressure.

The cloaked figure walked toward her.

Each step cracking the ground beneath.

"Power isn't about anger…" it said calmly.

"…or desperation."

Aarya stood still.

Forcing herself not to step back.

"It's about control."

Before she could react—

It disappeared.

Aarya's eyes widened.

Too fast—

She couldn't track it.

Then—

A sudden force hit her from behind.

She was thrown forward.

Crashing onto the ground.

Pain shot through her body.

"Aah—!"

She tried to get up—

But her arm shook.

Barely holding her weight.

The figure appeared again.

Right in front of her.

"And you…"

It looked down at her.

Cold.

Unmoved.

"…have none."

Aarya gritted her teeth.

Her vision blurred.

But she forced herself up again.

"I… won't lose…"

Her voice weak.

But stubborn.

The figure tilted its head slightly.

"Then stand."

Aarya froze.

Then—

Slowly—

She stood.

Her legs trembling.

Her body screaming in pain.

But she stood.

The figure watched her silently.

"…good."

Suddenly—

It raised its hand.

And the air around Aarya tightened.

Like invisible chains wrapping around her body.

She gasped.

Her arms forced to her sides.

Her movement restricted completely.

"Kya—?!"

She struggled—

But it only tightened more.

"Now…"

The figure stepped closer.

"…let's see how long you last without breaking."

Aarya's breathing became rapid.

Her chest tightening.

The pressure increasing.

Her energy—

Fading.

Her strength—

Draining.

Her mind—

Starting to crack again.

No…

Not again…

Not this time…

Kabir forced himself up.

Still weak.

Still shaking.

"Aarya…!"

He stepped forward—

But stopped.

Because he knew—

This wasn't something he could win by force.

Not like this.

Not against that.

He clenched his fists.

His mind racing.

There had to be a way.

Something.

Anything.

Then—

He remembered.

Her words.

"I created this…"

His eyes widened slightly.

"…then she can control it…"

He looked at her.

Struggling.

Fighting.

Breaking—

But still standing.

"Aarya!" he shouted.

Her eyes barely moved toward him.

"Listen to me!"

The pressure tightened more.

She gasped in pain.

But still—

She listened.

"You're not fighting it…" he said.

"You're resisting it!"

Her eyes widened slightly.

"Stop pushing it away…"

Kabir's voice grew stronger.

"…accept it!"

Silence.

Those words echoed in her mind.

Accept it…?

The fear.

The pain.

The darkness.

Everything she hated about herself.

Everything she tried to hide.

Everything she ran from.

Aarya's breathing slowed.

Her struggle—

Stopped.

The figure noticed immediately.

"…what are you doing?"

Aarya closed her eyes.

Tears slipping down her face.

"I'm tired…"

Her voice soft.

Broken.

"I'm tired of running…"

The pressure tightened again—

Trying to crush her.

But this time—

She didn't resist.

She let it in.

The darkness.

The fear.

The pain.

She accepted it.

All of it.

And in that moment—

Something changed.

The chains—

Cracked.

The pressure—

Shattered.

A sudden burst of energy exploded from her body.

The figure stepped back slightly.

For the first time—

It reacted.

Not much.

But enough.

Aarya opened her eyes.

And this time—

They weren't filled with fear.

They were calm.

Steady.

Controlled.

Chapter 28 Suspense (Cliffhanger):

The air around her went silent.

Completely silent.

Even the ground stopped shaking.

The energy around Aarya stabilized—

Dark…

But no longer chaotic.

The cloaked figure stared at her.

For the first time—

Without speaking.

Without moving.

Aarya took a slow step forward.

Her voice calm.

But powerful.

"Now… I understand."

Kabir looked at her—

Stunned.

Because this Aarya—

Was different.

Not scared.

Not broken.

But something else.

Something stronger.

Something dangerous.

And the real battle—

Was about to begin.
