Once they were in the car, Anderson gave her a pointed stare, which caused Rebecca to rub her nose.
"Why are you staring at me that way?"
Silence.
"Anderson."
Silence.
"Tell me, what's wrong?" She asked, tentatively this time.
"You put yourself in danger!" He snapped, then took deep breaths. "I will never be able to forgive myself if you somehow end up in danger, Becca."
His voice was gravelly, and it caused Rebecca's lips to part. She wanted to speak, but she was clueless on what to say.
"Say something, Becca." He urged. "Do you hear me? You are not allowed to put yourself in dangerous situations."
"I just wanted to save Lydia." She said in a low voice. "And I had no idea that my father was a... monster." She whispers the last word, her nails digging into her palms.
Anderson sighed, his expression softening. "I understand you. And while I'm proud of your actions, I'd appreciate it if you inform me about your decisions."
