Theon sat in the back seat of his car. One arm resting against the door, his fingers tapping lightly against the leather. The car smelled faintly of Theon's cologne.
Sienna was in the driver's seat, both hands on the wheel even though they had not moved in over an hour. The street outside was calm as pedestrians and vehicles went about their business. People walked past the restaurant in small groups, some laughing, some on their phones, some just moving without paying attention to anything around them.
Theon's eyes stayed on the entrance. He had not looked away in a long time and Rowan had not called. He could not sit in his office and wait. He could not pretend he trusted Rowan to handle it perfectly. So he came himself. He had called Sienna and asked where Azaria was. Now they were here.
Watching and waiting like stalkers.
"How long has it been?" Theon asked finally, his voice low.
Sienna glanced at the dashboard. "Almost an hour and forty-five minutes."
