Volume 1 – The Child Without Destiny

Chapter 1 – The Night Without Stars

The night Ariv was born, the sky had no stars.

In the Surya Kingdom, the elders said the stars were the eyes of the gods. Each star watched a life, recorded karma, and guided destiny. Every person was born under a star.

But on that night, the sky was empty.

No stars.

No moon.

Only darkness.

The wind howled through the small village of Vedanagar. Doors shook. Dogs barked wildly. Birds flew through the night as if something had frightened them.

The villagers whispered in fear.

"Something is wrong tonight."

"Pray to the gods."

At the edge of the village, in a small clay house, a woman screamed in pain while an old midwife tried to help her.

"Push! The child is coming!" the midwife shouted.

Thunder roared across the sky, but there were no clouds.

Inside the house, the oil lamp flickered… then went out.

Darkness filled the room.

Then something impossible happened.

A small black sphere appeared in the air above the woman. It was darker than the night itself, and the light around it seemed to bend and disappear. The air became heavy, and the midwife felt like she could not breathe.

The sphere rotated slowly, silently.

Then it vanished.

At that exact moment, the baby was born.

But the baby did not cry.

The midwife quickly picked him up and slapped his back gently.

For a few seconds, there was only silence.

Then the baby cried loudly.

"It's a boy," the midwife said in relief.

The exhausted mother smiled weakly. "Ariv… his name will be Ariv."

At that moment, far away in the mountains, an old sage suddenly opened his eyes from meditation.

"The sky without stars… a child born in darkness…" he murmured.

"The wheel of fate has changed."

In a distant temple, a giant bell rang by itself.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

The monks woke up in fear. The bell had not rung on its own for centuries.

Back in the small house, the midwife was cleaning the baby when she suddenly froze.

She stared at the child's palm.

Every child was born with a fate line — a small line across the palm that showed the path of destiny.

But this child…

There was no line.

Her hands started shaking.

"This… this is not possible," she whispered.

"What is it?" the mother asked weakly.

The midwife looked at the baby again and said slowly,

"This child… has no destiny."

Thunder exploded across the sky again.

The baby suddenly stopped crying and opened his eyes.

The midwife felt a chill run down her spine.

The child's eyes were calm. Too calm. Deep and silent, like an endless dark ocean.

Like a void.

At that moment, far above the world, in a celestial hall where the gods wrote the destiny of all living beings, a golden book opened by itself.

A new name appeared on a blank page.

Ariv.

The god holding the brush tried to write his destiny.

But the ink disappeared before touching the page.

The brush tried again.

Nothing appeared.

Then the page suddenly began to burn from the edges, turning into black ash.

The god stepped back in shock.

"This… has never happened before."

The name on the page slowly faded away until nothing remained.

No destiny.

No fate.

No karma path.

Back in the small village, the baby closed his eyes and fell asleep peacefully, unaware of the chaos his birth had caused across heaven and earth.

That night, the world remained silent under a starless sky.

No one in the small village knew it yet.

But a child without destiny had been born.

And for the first time since the beginning of creation…

Fate had lost control.
