The gingko tree and the human looked at each other, perplexed.
After a long time, seeing that the flood dragon was not coming back, the human girl wiped blood from her face and turned to the gingko tree.
"Senior Changqing, might I ask for your order? What should I do from now on?" Said Wan Zhaolu.
Tian Yisong swayed slightly, as if to speak, but no words came out. They both knew in their heart that although the flood dragon refused to refine the pill, it did not mean that Wan Zhaolu's is out of danger. Her life was not her own, her death was not for her to decide. Even if the flood dragon refused to refine the pill, what about that Great cultivator , that True Daoist Chu Fu? Would he agree to such a thing?
Under these circumstances, only Tian Yisong possessed the authority to manage the immediate situations. Whether it was because he was the flood dragon's direct disciple or was it because of his status as a Golden Core cultivator, he was more than qualified.
Just as the gingko tree was about to tell Wan Zhaolu to go back to her cave dwelling and wait for further command, an authoritative voice belonging to a fierce beast sounded from the cave mansion:
"Let her stay on the mountain. Build her a house and give her food, provide everything she needs." The voice paused, "Think of it as… my apology."
It was the voice of the flood dragon.
Wan Zhaolu quickly turned back and bowed, "My lord, I would not dare!" She did not believe the flood dragon's words and wished not to be indebted to it.
Tian Yisong on the other hand, was filled with happiness as if he had achieved enlightenment. He happily answered, "Yes, Master, as you command."
The cave mansion was silent.
Seeing there were no further orders, Tian Yisong began working. First he plucked out a small branch from his trunk, then swooped up dirt and stones underneath his shade with his mind enlarged tree branch and leaves.
The branch he plucked was divided into four equal pieces. They turned into four great pillars, each one thicker than a man. He planted the pillars in four directions, then threw the dirt stone around them to make a foundation.
The stone and dirt multiplied by itself until they filled the surrounding space. A soft green light fell down and transformation occurred.
The stones and dirt molded in on itself, becoming a stone platform while branches and leaves grew from the wooden pillars, connecting and intertwining, becoming a giant bush.
Just then when the bush's vitality reached its peak, it decayed and withered. The yellow leaves and brown branches fell down, revealing a middle size wooden hut. The ground shook three times as a hole appeared on the ground, its surrounding earth rose to become a stone wall that surrounded it, forming a well.
"Little friend Zhaolu, take a look inside. See if there's anything you don't like, I can fix it for you." The gingko tree swayed slightly back and forth, inviting her into her new house.
Wan Zhaolu was tongue tied and speechless, all she could do was walk inside the house in a daze.
The reason was simply because she was amazed. In her entire life, she had never a person nor a tree construct a house in such a grand and magnificent manner.
To the naked eye it was a simple gingko tree plucking its branch and sweeping up some dirt, but if one were to look and feel with spiritual senses, the scene was completely different.
Rising Earth, Earth molding, Stone concrete,Water control, Surging vitality, Housing arrangements… and other dozen spells were used in a single breath. Of all the spells amounting over sixty, she only recognized these six spells.
One had to know that this female Sword Immortal who comprehended Sword Intent at a young age, was the commanding deputy general of the Great Luo Dynasty's army!
Though came from humble beginnings, Wan Zhaolu possessed considerable insights and talent in spell arts. She dared to claim to be well taught and well learned, but she dared say the spells she had seen on the battlefield were definitely not few.
Be them common spells or rare spells, even unique spells rarely passed down in a lineage, she had seen her fair share of them. But the sight she had seen earlier made her reevaluate herself:
'It's not that my knowledge was lacking, but the gap between Foundation Establishment and Golden Core is simply too vast… I've overestimated myself.' Wan Zhaolu thought as she walked through the simple hut in a daze.
Although the hut looks simple, she could feel its firmness and inexplicable mysteries emanating from it. Just the spiritual energy inside the hut alone was at least eight times thicker than the one she used for her breakthrough to the Foundation Establishment realm.
The hut was bigger than a normal hut yet smaller than a house, but considering its complete facilities such as bedroom, a small living room, a bathroom, a dining room and a kitchen, it was more like a house to her.
After some time touring the house, Wan Zhaolu came out and gave a deep bow to the gingko tree.
"My thanks to the True Daoist Changqing."
The gingko tree swayed slightly as Tian Yisong replied, "It's a small matter, hardly worth mentioning."
Feeling glad that his efforts were appreciated, Tian Yisong explained a little bit more about the wooden house:
"I had used sixty six spells in total to construct this small house and front yard for you. In these sixty six spells, six are the cores."
Tian Yisong paused to observe her expression. Seeing that Wan Zhaolu was listening intently, he felt great satisfaction and continued:
"Those five core spells are: Renewing Spirituality, Stabilizing Earth, Water Concealment, Protecting Metal, Surging vitality and Housing arrangements."
Upon hearing this, Wan Zhaolu's eyes lit up as if in realization, "Five elements formation?"
"Correct" Tian Yisong swayed as he replied, "But that's not all, this is a modified version of the classic Five elements formation. My master obtained it in Western Continent and gave it to me for study."
He paused slightly as if choosing his words, "This small house might not have much, but it should be more than sufficient for your daily use and cultivation. If you need anything else, just ask me." Tian Yisong's movement gradually stopped as he finished.
As if remembering something trivial, the gingko tree swayed again, "Oh, I forgot to mention that this house can shield you from others' prying eyes for your privacy. Even a Golden Core cultivator cannot casually see through it with their spiritual senses. It can also shield you from all attacks below the Golden Core stage, it would take six attacks from a Golden Core cultivator to completely shatter it."
Tian Yisong turned his spiritual senses to Wan Zhaolu and sensed something was wrong from her dumbfounded expression.
He quickly corrected himself, "I did say it could shield you from Golden Core cultivators, but that's my general estimation. It has a fifty-fifty chance of resisting a Great Cultivator like True Daoist Chu Fu's probing, but for someone like the Master, it's as good as nothing."
Wan Zhaolu's eyes dimmed slightly, but she still nodded and thanked Tian Yisong respectfully.
Silence fell on the mountain for a long while before Tian Yisong dismissed Wan Zhaolu and told her to rest for the day.
Thus, the chaotic day passed by quietly.
