On the 10th day after the demons' seal was broken, the cries of a woman filled the room, announcing a new life.
"Ahhhh.... Mmm.. my baby why do you have to make your mother suffer, just make it easy will you" a woman whispered breathlessly through the pain. She was lying in bed surrounded by maids doing their best to help her give birth to one of the most anticipated babies of the whole family.
"Be at ease madam Elena, everything is going to be okay" an elderly woman said. " Just push a little bit harder, i can almost see the head"
"Calm down my love, im here with you" a man said soothingly but the concern on his face was evident.
"Ahhhhh" the woman named Elena kept screaming and trying her best to keep pushing.
" Yes, there it is" the elderly maid exclaimed happily as she pulled the baby out.
"What a beautiful child" the maid was astonished upon seeing the face of the baby girl in her hands.
Joy filled the room after the baby was delivered safely but then suddenly...
"Ahhhhhhhhhh, what's happening to me ahhhhh Thorn, my inside is burningggg.." Elena cried as she felt an excruciating pain in her womb.
"What's going on, what's wrong with her" The man named Thorn asked while fear evident on his face.
" Sir, there is another baby, it's a twin" The maid exclaimed upon noticing another baby head is coming out.

Surprise and confusion filled the room while Elena's cries stopped after the successful birth of the other child and with it, fhe the excruciating pain stopped. Even though she didn't have the leisure to think about the reason behind this pain since it was nothing like the pain she endured during giving birth to the first baby, but the non the less, she was relieved upon seeing the maid holding the second baby in her hands.
" Bring them closer, let me see them both " Elena said hurriedly after her the excruciating pain stopped.
Silence...
Elena's words fell on deaf ears since she was given no response from neither her husband nor any of the maids.
Elena looked around the room and noticed that everyone's face had a terrifying expression as they all focused on one thing and one thing only, the second baby.
"My love, what's wrong?, why are you looking like that? Answer me" Elena asked but her voice was laced with concern and doubt.
Thorn lifted his head, he was no longer looking at the baby but staring ominously at the maids in the room.
The maids' faces looked pale as they saw the way Thorn was looking. They could already guess the reason for that.
" No please don't, I'll keep my mouth shu-" the elderly maid tried to beg but couldn't finish her sentence before her throat started gushing blood like a fountain and her body dropping dead. The rest of the maids couldn't even have the time to react before everything went dark as the room fell into a final, deadly silence.
Before Elena could fathom the situation, Thorn brought her the second child to take a look herself.
Elena extended her hands to hold the child but just when her hands were About to touch him, she stopped.
"Noooo no no no this can't be happening noooooo" Elena started yelling in denial the moment her eyes fell on her new born baby. She was in disbelief unable to accept the reality of what's in front of her.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry love, but it is exactly what you think it is" Thorn said softly to her confirming what she could see on her baby's face.
The baby had a huge black mark that covered more than half of his face. The mark had a visible black vein throbbing so repulsively turning the infant's face into something hideous. The baby was one of the cursedones.
Elena took the baby from her husband and held it in her hands. Tears poured down her face but her resolve was unshaken. She looked at Thorn and said " i dont care about the prophecy or the curse, this is my child and will not let anyone take him from me" she said with a fierce look on her face, no room for discussion.
"You don't need to tell me this, you know I'll do my absolute best to prevent any harm from coming his way, but we both know that even if we somehow hid him from the world, then once he reaches 10 years old, he will no longer live and will be something else" he said to his wife.
" Then we have 10 years to find a cure, a solution, anything, but we must try. We must find a way or else we will have to.." Elena didn't finish her sentence as her tears started coming down for even thinking of that possiblity.
Thorn who was holding the first baby girl in his hand, came closer to Elena's face. He knew that if they didn't find a cure for the curse within the 10 years period, then they will have to kill their child by themselves.
" Don't worry, the world is vast and filled with all sort of secrets, im sure we'll find a way" Thorn assured Elena but they both knew that they were looking for a miracle but all they could do is hope and let the heavens decide their fate.
