Four months had passed since Lin Shen left the Golden Aure sect and he headed for Xuanwu valley which was rich in minerals the only reason why no sect risked going in was because there were spiritual beasts around and inside the valley and what was more terrifying was that each beast had developed a certain level of intelligence. And according to the legends they say that the legendary Xuanwu lived here before ascending, and sometimes there would be a spiritual beast born with Xuanwu's blessing.
But Lin Shen did not care about legends he only needed a base of operations and there is Mountain with a large waterfall that seeped into a deep pond that in the valley. It looked like a beautiful spot to take a break until you realize that it is filled with spiritual beasts. That's why Lin Shen chose this place.
After travelling for two months Lin Shen finally reached Xuanwu valley it would be a good place to settle down if it weren't for the fact that spirit beast and beast clans lived nearby.
On the way here he encountered people from the Qilin and Phoenix clans they challenged him to a life and death duel. He tried declining but they were arrogant and called him a coward so he activated ARCHON and killed them.
Which was when he realized when they died, they returned to their original forms. So, he took their bodies along with him.
And now here he was witnessing a beautiful sight as he was beating the hell out of a high tier spirit beast.
"Alright time to get to work," said Lin Shen
A few months later Lin Shen stood outside the waterfall and pressed a panel on the side near it.
As soon as it is was pressed scanning drones came out and scanned him before the lower part of the waterfall split open revealing an entrance.
As he entered the doors closed behind him making it look like nothing happened.
When he entered his base, it was magnificent and deadly at the same time vehicle bays where all sorts of vehicles were kept, armory where weapons of all types were stored (yes even for the ARCHON and the exosuit is stored there) hangars where the ARCHON lay dormant with more vacant space for future titans.
And finally monitoring stations which showed multiple screens each overlooking different parts of the valley.
And the valley has turned out to be a good location for resources as the Qi density here is higher causing it to form more quickly and naturally basically speaking he can strip that valley out of all its minerals and yet the next it would be filled with minerals and ores again by next week.
But there were also issues word had spread about Lin Shens operation and scouts from many different sects kept coming. Luckily the spirit beasts usually chased them away but sometimes Nascent soul cultivators came. But even they returned empty handed.
Until one day when Lin Shen was extracting resources from the ravine, he noticed someone watching him so he immediately had the drones move to capturing the scout.
The scout did not sense the drones coming and got captured.
Lin Shen then ordered the drones to take the scout back to base.
Back at the base Lin Shen went to the prison chamber where the scout was held.
"What are you going to do to me" The scout asked.
"Who are you and why are you following me." Lin Shen asked without answering the question.
"Replied I work for the Tang sect we usually come here to extract venomous plants and collect herbs" replied the scout
"Are you sure you are a scout your clothing suggests stealth and its material is more exquisite even ordinary scouts do not usually wear this sort of clothing."
"And?" asked the scout
"You are from the Tang clan yes, But you are not a simple scout, the patterns on your clothing suggest that you are probably an inner disciple or someone who is a descendent of the sect leader" replied Lin Shen "Plus even though the clothing is designed in such a way it is almost impossible to tell if you are a male or a female but up close it does not fare well. And suggesting from the curves that are visible right now you are a female. Which would mean that you are a female" Lin Shen concluded
"Oh, yeah how did you come to that conclusion" asked the scout
"Simple I will throw in a rat and observe your reaction" Lin Shen replied
"Hey anything but the--"
"Luckily I have a lot of rat problems so I will just close all the vents leading anywhere else and have them open up here that way it should not be a problem"
"ALRIGHT YOU GOT ME PLEASE ANYTHING BUT THAT. MY NAME IS SUN RONG OF THE TANG SECT I AM THE CURRENT DAUGHTER OF THE SECT LEADER. THE WERE REPORTS OF DISCIPLES SIGHTING STRANGE MACHINERY HERE I WAS SENT HERE BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS DISCIPLES COULD NOT UNCOVER ANYTHING" she said crying her eyes out.
As if on cue the base's alarms started ringing and the monitoring station's main screen flickered to life.
"Crud, did they say they would send Nascent soul elders after you if you did not return"
"No, my father did not say that." She said racking her brain
Lin Shen, let out a breath he did not realize he had been holding in.
"Instead, he said if I ever go missing, he will scramble the entire sect to look for me. He even said he would level the entire place to find me." Replied Sun Rong
As if to confirm that the elders and disciples of the Tang sect started destroying everything.
The five Nascent Soul elder unleashed their projections while the disciples set up formations to level the field.
"DAMMMIT" Lin Shen said slamming a hand on the console "They are destroying everything if I just sit still, they will eventually find me"
Lin Shen then took a deep breath and said "Fine, you want to destroy two could play at that game."
"Protocol Invasion Full activation" he said.
