1 month have past since we last seen Garret He was a lot bigger now on his way to adulthood his constant eating of dragonfell berries has given his attacks slight dragon element affinity his lightning started turning teal from the transition from blue to yellow he had fought many kinds of enemies even reoccurring ones such as barroth yian kut ku and even facing hordes of small monsters like jaggi jagras and velodrome and he even encountered other lightning monsters like kezhu which wasn't as hard as many thought it would be there lightning attacks canceled out each other but once he stopped attacking and decided to go for stealth it couldn't pinpoint where he was anymore and all he had to do was go for the neck although the rubbery skin made it hard to get a grip he managed it though and some other new enemies he encountered was an aknosom and an jyuratodus aknosom was harder due to it's ability to fly and how agile it is jyuratodus was easy other than the changes to the arena making it really muddy all he had to do was sent his electricity through the ground shocking the wyvern out of hiding.
Other than that his rise in the Arena attracted a lot more viewers arkon was his personal caretaker and due to his constant Wednesday upgraded his living space from a cage to an minture arena The reason for this was Garret was aggressive with anyone outside arkon besides the fact that the kid was nice and clearly didn't want to grow up doing this he had an kinship stone so his main goal was to try and awaken a relationship between the two As monster and rider he got fed whole aptonoth as long as he won all of the constant fighting was bringing him closer to becoming an Apex and the changes were starting to become visible his fur was changing from white to beige on its way to becoming yellow which was a sign of becoming an Apex or an thunder lord but as arkon was washing him down with soap and water suddenly an poacher walked to the edge of the arena before shouting poacher:"Arkon your mother wants you and hurry up it's time for this beast next match" Garret was irritated at being called a beast but stood up and shook the soap and water off walking towards the entrance as arkon left the miniature arena as Garrett approached the exit he wondered what monster was his opponent this time usually he overhears The poachers talking but due to his new living arrangement he can't overhear anything because he's completely isolated from the caged monsters as the wooden doors opened he stepped into the arena looking around he didn't see his opponent.
Until a sudden roar sounded out before the poachers on the opposite side of the arena could open the gate The doors flew off the hinges as the ropes the poachers used to pull the doors open flew from their hands as an pink rathian came charging out roaring and rampaging as she looked around aggressively locking onto Garret with his thunder bugs swarming around him The crowd around was excited as rathian charged at Garret Who also charged forward but before colliding did a backflip hitting her in the face with his tail before attempting to go crashing forward and landed on her back but rathian recovered spinning around hitting him in the back with her tail causing him to go flying backwards and because he was in the air he couldn't catch balance as he slammed into the wall as he landed on all of his feet he gathered thunder bugs in his tail before doing another flip sending a cluster of them at rathian The electric discharge from the cluster of thunder bugs caused them to turn into an Electric ball.
As they charged forward striking the rathian directly as electricity surged through her brilliant pink scales Garret charged forward with his Left paw raised ready to strike her but she powered through the pain opening her mouth as it swelled up with fire as Garret jumped for the strike she spat the fireball sending him flying back as he crashed into the ground he did another backflip landing upright he roared throwing another electrified group of thunder bugs attempting to test out his new attack he had the thunder bugs that were on his body attach to the rathian looking at her wings her leg and her body made her confused as she attempted to bite the thunder bugs off Garret howled as they glowed all eight of them releasing an electrical discharge causing the pink rathian pain as she thrashed around trying to get the bugs off immediately Garrett charged forward using the remaining thunder bugs on his body to create an Electric field around him sort of like an Electric crash bursting forward he slammed into the rathian pushing her back as she struggled losing her grip on the ground she fell over as Garret bit her neck causing her to cry out in pain and anger and she flung her around before throwing her away as The thunder bugs on her body returned to him.
as he howled entering his super charged mode he starting gathering electricity as he charged forward the rathian looked taking flight attempting to drag him out of the sky immediately he released all of the electricity he had stored up from the physical damage and thunder bugs reserves as electricity exploded outward the pink rathian crashed into the ground defeated as Garret landed on her corpse he roared in absolute victory as he began to feast on his spoils of battle Amelia spoke while drinking her wine Amelia:"I have to admit Stark this is quite the champion you've brought me profits or even higher than they were before I might have to put him in the champion match soon Who knows he might even be ready for the grand tournament between arenas his fighting prowess is surprising for such a young one at that not even fully grown" stark smiled now that he was in good favor with the boss he could probably ask for a raise after being pelted by an barrage of tranquilizer darts Garret was transported back to his arena given a full aptonoth.
Noticing altaroth building a massive mound he walked over and sent an electrical discharge through the mound killing all the altaroth including their queen as some of the thunder bugs around his body started swarming towards the mound laying eggs and simply living inside of it full-time now with a constant resupply of thunder bugs there shouldn't be a shortage of them or their electrical energy absorbing abilities his plan was nearly complete now that was left was to escape.
