#Chapter 34
“What is bothering you, my son?”
Hession answered sluggishly to Lexphius’s concerned question.
“Nothing, Your Majesty. Nothing.”
The sound of plates rustling and clinking against each other rang across the dining hall.
Hession once again brought his knife upon the beautifully roasted venison.
It was a rare occasion for him to get to dine with his father and his sister.
Though it was a family event, his mother once again declined the invitation.
She despised leaving her room due to her leg injury.
While reminding himself to pay her a visit sometime soon, Hession’s hands came to a sudden halt and swallowed a deep sigh.
His meat had been slashed into messy pieces.
He had been lost deep in thought before Lexphius woke him up.
Hession was aware that something was off about him these days.
He was constantly caught up in the same thoughts.
It wasn’t much of a conscious act.
It was just that he kept finding himself daydreaming about her.
