The God of Destruction was indeed becoming more and more satisfied with Huo Yuhao as a successor.
First of all, his talent was sufficient; to say the least, this kid's comprehension speed of the Law of Destruction far exceeded his expectations.
This was also one of the reasons why he didn't deliberately increase the difficulty when designing the God Trials, because those so-called tempers were completely redundant for this young man.
And the most important point was that this child worked exceptionally hard in dealing with Tang San.
The God of Destruction had originally set a deadline of half a year to a year for Huo Yuhao to collect the hidden hands arranged by Tang San on the Douluo Continent. After all, those arrangements were hidden extremely deeply, and some had even been buried for Ten Thousand Years; wanting to find conclusive evidence was definitely not an easy task.
Yet he didn't expect that in less than a month, Huo Yuhao had already accomplished the task.
This caused the God of Destruction to be stunned for a moment when receiving the message, followed immediately by irrepressible joy.
Since the evidence was already in hand, the God of Destruction decisively changed his original plan and decided to convene the God Realm Committee Enlarged Meeting ahead of schedule.
The God Realm Committee had always been jointly participated in by the five God Kings and was the highest-level decision-making body of the Divine Realm.
As for the so-called "Enlarged Meeting", it was based on the five God Kings, further expanding the scope of participants outward; where it expanded to was not fixed.
Sometimes only Grade 1 Divinities were included, and sometimes even Grade 2 Divinities were invited to attend.
And this time, the God of Destruction directly pulled the meeting scale to the highest specification, encompassing all Divinities of the entire Divine Realm within it.
Regardless of the rank of the Divine Position, anyone qualified to step into that conference hall would be invited.
This was no longer an ordinary enlarged meeting; this was almost a plenary assembly of the Divine Realm.
With the exalted status of the God King, the God of Destruction—the meetings he wanted to convene would be attended by the gods even if just to save Face.
However, from the moment this unprecedented enlarged meeting was announced, layers of discussion stirred up across the Divine Realm.
Many Divinities gathered in twos and threes, guessing what on earth the God of Destruction was convening everyone for this time.
Some swore that they had obtained reliable gossip, asserting firmly that this meeting was still for the cliché issue of Divine Realm expansion.
Others were unimpressed, feeling that after tossing about for so many years, the God of Destruction hadn't seen any substantial progress, and this time he probably couldn't turn out any new tricks.
What they didn't know was that the core agenda of this meeting was not just the expansion of the Divine Realm, but the impeachment of Tang San, the God King.
The main hall of the palace was a standard octagon, with an extremely spacious space, a high-hanging dome, and flowing divine light.
As the Divinities entered one after another, the originally empty hall gradually became lively.
The Divinities of the Divine Realm added up to just over two thousand, and today not everyone was present; only one thousand nine hundred and seventy-eight came, but for the God of Destruction, this number was already enough.
Tang San also took his seat in this bustling crowd, his expression as usual, even carrying a trace of his habitual composed smile.
He was indeed somewhat surprised in his heart: "Wasn't it scheduled for tomorrow? Why was it suddenly advanced?"
However, he didn't think deeply about it. Over these years of mental showdowns with the God of Destruction, he was already thoroughly familiar with it and had steadily held the upper hand most of the time, thinking that nothing unexpected should happen this time either.
Tang San sat in his own position, his fingertips tapping gently on the table, waiting for the official start of the meeting.
The God of Destruction made his final entrance. When his purplish-black figure appeared at the entrance of the palace main hall, the Divinities who had been talking in low voices quieted down simultaneously.
He walked toward his seat along the path paved with dark patterns, his steps steady. The expression on his Face under the hood could not be seen, but he carried an aura completely different from usual.
After taking his seat, he slowly swept his gaze around the venue, then spoke in a resonant voice: "The meeting begins."
The gazes of all Divinities instantly concentrated on him. The God of Destruction continued the topic that he had brought up countless times on different occasions in a calm tone.
"Convening the meeting today is still the same old cliché. Many humans in the Lower Realm have already Cultivated to the extreme and need a Divine Position to ascend to the Divine Realm. I feel it is time to expand the Divine Realm."
After the voice fell, the Sea God Tang San almost habitually took over the conversation.
He leaned against the back of the chair, his posture composed, and said in a flat tone: "The rules of the Divine Realm were established back then, how can they be easily changed?"
"Expanding the Divine Realm is inadvisable. If any Divinity is willing to abandon the Divine Position and go explore farther galaxies, letting the Divine Position naturally alternate will suffice."
These two sentences were as secure as ever, leaving the Divinities present unable to pick out any faults.
If it were in the past, the God of Destruction would probably have slammed the table and stood up, starting another round of fruitless arguments with him.
However, today, the God of Destruction did not directly counterattack.
The corners of his mouth hooked up into an extremely faint arc, flashing and disappearing in the shadow of the hood.
He thought to himself: "Tang San, you really took the bait."
Then he raised his head, his gaze falling squarely on Tang San, with an unprecedented sharpness in his tone: "Since the Sea God mentioned the rules of the Divine Realm, then I must have a good discussion about it."
Hearing this, Tang San's heart skipped a beat, thinking to himself that he had been careless.
Looking at the God of Destruction's appearance at this moment, he felt that the other party seemed to be fully prepared, and he might have fallen into the trap set by the God of Destruction.
However, he was not too worried. After all, based on his understanding of the God of Destruction, this old rival had never had any substantial attacking power on the matter of "Divine Realm rules", and back and forth it was nothing more than those circular words, so handling it shouldn't be a problem for him.
The voice of the God of Destruction sounded again, carrying a sense of oppression: "Sea God, as a God Realm Enforcer, you control the Divine Realm Central Hub, yet you use this convenience to spy on the Lower Realm year-round..."
Speaking up to here, Tang San directly interrupted his words, his tone still composed, as if he had long prepared a seamless set of rhetoric.
"As a God Realm Enforcer, I naturally must constantly investigate the situation of the Lower Realm; if any changes occur, it will be easier to handle them in a timely manner."
If it were in the past, being interrupted publicly like this, the God of Destruction would probably have started flying into a rage.
However, today, he only sneered coldly, with an extremely faint arc at the corners of his mouth, as if he had long expected Tang San to reply like this.
"What a high-sounding speech! Then what about you arbitrarily meddling in the affairs of the Lower Realm, how should that be explained?"
Facing this questioning from the God of Destruction, Tang San replied without changing his expression: "I have never arbitrarily meddled in the affairs of the Lower Realm. Destruction, do not make false accusations."
The God of Destruction sneered and asked in return: "Is that so?"
Hearing this, a trace of an ominous premonition suddenly flashed through Tang San's heart.
That feeling came for no reason, but with his cultivation as a God King, he certainly wouldn't have a sudden impulse out of thin air.
He didn't know where this uneasiness came from. Perhaps it was because of the God of Destruction's tone of certainty bordering on composure just now, or perhaps because of the overly silent reactions of several surrounding God Kings.
He subconsciously glanced at the two God Kings of Kindness and Evil. In the past at times like this, they would have long since spoken up for him.
But today, the two of them quietly sat in their respective seats, their gazes lowered, as if they hadn't heard anything at all.
