Chapter 22 - Hancock wanted vibranium but got adamantium instead

After learning her previous lesson from the experience with Logan, Hancock had already taken different counter measures to not end up pregnant whenever she is too satisfied.

Hancock wanted vibranium but got adamantium instead

In 1910, Nigeria was under the colonization of the British Empire. And let's say that the relationship between the British Empire and the Amazon Lily was not that great after what Amazon Lily did in India. India was one of the most valuable colonies that Britishers wanted. But due to the game played by Hancock, they lost India, even before making it one of their official colonies. Their plan to rob its wealth ended before it even began. So obviously they were not happy with Amazon Lily. But open hostility with the country was not an option either. Currently in the early 20th century, Amazon Lily can be considered as a superpower without having any major military power. At least for the outside world that's how they see it.

So when Hancock arrived on the ship with a flag of Amazon Lily, the British government did not put on a show for their welcome. Hancock and her companion had come to Africa as scientists for exploration of local wildlife. So technically their group had no political power. That's why it was easy for them to move around in the country after they cleared the first security check. Hancock had brought her own land rover (an off-road vehicle with an internal combustion engine is called land rover in Amazon Lily).

In Amazon Lily, electric trains are the most popular names of public transport. All the major cities were connected with over ground electric trains, while all the important places inside every Amazonian city were connected with underground metro trains. Due to the massive amount of electricity produced by the electric-eel-algae, in Amazon Lily, travelling through electric trains is a much cheaper option than travelling through internal combustion engine vehicles. So much so that there are Royal trains, specific for government uses and use of Hancock and Sandersonia. Hancock also wanted to push the production of electric cars forward. Yes, electric and not internal combustion, because she didn't want to rely too much on other countries to solve her energy crisis for the upcoming hundred years. Compared to vehicles with internal combustion engines, electric vehicles were going to cost more. And with the current technology they had, mass-producing batteries was not an option for Amazon Lily. On top of that Hancock didn't want to push industrialization too much in Amazon Lily. Especially when the profit was not going to be worth the pollution it would create.

The land rovers are mostly used by military and research teams who have to go to places where there is no road to go.

After leaving Lagos, when the roads disappeared behind them, Hancock turned back Tymon and Sabra from stone statues to their natural form.

The land rovers had diesel engines which prioritized power and efficiency over speed. With a massive inbuilt gas tank, the rover was capable of making a successful trip all the way to wakanda from Nigeria and then returning without needing any refueling. On her way to Wakanda, Hancock didn't take any other official except for the two guards with her. In a potential case of conflict, Hancock didn't want any burdens.

With basic supplies, while travelling through Nigeria's grassland, their group had to make a lot of stops every now and there and had to hunt in the local wildlife to prepare their food. While it wasn't exactly a problem, it showed how inconvenient this entire thing was. All because they wanted to keep the existence of devil fruit users a secret.

Of course, Hancock treated it like a free nature camp and fucked whenever she got bored.

On the third day of their trip, they finally ran out of drinking water and had to make a stop in a nearby African tribe.

That's when Hancock learnt about a local deity and got curious. The tribesmen described the deity as the indestructible God. And explain him as the black and shiny deity who protected them from Slavers. Hancock wanted to see the deity herself since the explanation of the people felt like a rare metal to Hancock. And although her memories regarding the X-Men movies were not that solid, she remembered adamantium also being found somewhere in the African continent.

In the end Hancock decided to stay there for a night. While her horny ass did the job of her brain, whenever she was not serious, this time her curiosity was a serious matter. It took her a couple of days to trick the people with Sabra. Only after she convinced them that she was the messenger of Gods, she was allowed to visit the black stone. It was clear that they wanted to keep it a secret. So they blindfolded Hancock before taking her there.

But with observation haki, pin pointing the location was not a problem.

Finally after reaching the cave where the mysterious rock was, Hancock confirmed that it wasn't just a normal mineral ore. Of course without a proper lab test, she wouldn't be able to confirm that the stone in front of her was adamantium.

So she decided to apply a simple trick. First, she petrified the villagers so that they wouldn't complain about her hitting their God. After which, she punched the rock in front of her using armament haki and 60% of her full strength.

*Boom*

The entire cave shook as if there was an earthquake.

Sure enough a punch that could have snapped an industrial grade high tensile steel, didn't put a dent on the stone.

That property of the stone made Hancock's hopes go up regarding the stone being adamantium. While coming for vibranium she was not expecting to find adamantium. As much as Hancock wanted to use her full strength and full output of armament haki, she didn't think the cave could survive such an attack.

Moreover, even if she somehow confirmed that it was adamantium, she had no means to take it away from that cave, her land rover wouldn't be able to carry the massive stone. On top of that, the main goal will not be achieved.

Hancock left the village and continued her journey towards Wakanda after turning the villagers back to normal. Since she had turned everyone into stone simultaneously, none of them suspected anything.

After 3 more days of journey she finally reached the foot of a valley, on top of which Wakanda was located.

Leaving Sabra and Tymon near the rover, Hancock leaped up and using a moonwalk, started going up in the valley. Out of the marine six styles, Hancock had figured out three on her own.

Soru (Shave): Moves at incredible speeds to dodge or attack, often invisible to the eye.

Geppo (Moonwalk): Allows users to jump off the air itself, enabling flight.

Rankyaku (Tempest Kick): Creates sharp compressed air projectiles from swift kicks.

Having a body that belonged to the one piece world allowed her to naturally learn these techniques as long as she understood the principle and had a strong body. She could probably figure out the other three techniques. But she didn't think they were necessary or as useful as these three.

In a few seconds, Hancock had already climbed around 140 ft before finally reaching the top of the valley. Since no one was on sight, after landing softly, she started walking in a direction which was full of large trees. From a distance it looked like a natural border made from trees spanning in both directions.

"Halt!"

Sure enough before she could even reach the Woods, someone shouted at her.
