The Apex Spire was trembling. With the Mirror Dimension shattered, the Neo-Aether that had stabilized the tower's gravity began to leak out in violent, uncontrolled bursts. The sky outside wasn't violet or blue; it was a fractured mosaic of both worlds, flickering like a dying television screen.
"The feedback loop is hitting the other six Spires!" Rin yelled over the roar of the collapsing infrastructure. "Mo Zan is panicked. He's pulling every kilojoule of power into the final node at the world's edge—the Frozen Citadel."
Ken stood at the center of the shaking platform. He felt different. In the Mirror Dimension, he hadn't just rejected a deal; he had purged the last remaining "System Tags" from his soul.
The Negative Level
Ken looked at his palm. For a split second, a flickering HUD appeared—one last glitch of the dying Aether System.
[USER: BŌ KEN]
[LEVEL: ERROR]
[MANA: 0 / 0]
[STATUS: SYSTEM-REJECTED]
"I have no mana," Ken whispered.
"What?" Mina ran to his side as a piece of the ceiling crashed nearby. "But you just leveled a Mirror-God! How can you have zero mana?"
Ken closed his eyes and felt the air. He didn't look for a "Pool" of energy inside himself. He felt the friction of the wind, the heat of the falling debris, and the static electricity of the storm outside.
"The System used to give me power," Ken said, his eyes opening to reveal pupils that were now spinning like galaxies. "Now, I just take it from the universe."
The Overdrive
Suddenly, a squad of Omega-Sentries—Mo Zan's elite, obsidian-plated droids—burst through the floor. They were twice the size of the previous models, their weapons glowing with a dark, anti-matter pulse.
[ANALYZING TARGET...]
[THREAT LEVEL: ZERO]
[TARGET HAS NO MANA SIGNATURE. INITIATING DISPOSAL.]
The Sentries fired. Ten beams of black light converged on Ken's chest.
"Ken!" Rin and Grog shouted, diving for cover.
Ken didn't move. He didn't even raise a shield. As the beams hit him, they didn't explode. They bent. The energy was sucked into his physical body like water into a sponge.
[SKILL: 200% OVERDRIVE]
[CONVERTING ENEMY KINETICS... COMPLETE]
Ken's skin began to glow with a blinding, iridescent white light. His 23-year-old muscles rippled as he absorbed the entire attack.
"My turn," Ken said.
He moved. It wasn't a "Thunder-Step" anymore. He simply existed where the Sentries stood.
CRACK-BOOM.
He didn't punch them; he simply touched their chest plates. The kinetic energy he had absorbed from their own beams was redirected back into them, amplified by the vacuum of his "Zero-Mana" state.
The obsidian droids didn't just break; they turned into fine, black dust.
"He's not using skills," Grog whispered, leaning on his steam-mace in awe. "He's manipulating physics. He's turned himself into a living battery."
The Flight to the End
The Apex Spire gave a final, mournful groan. The floor beneath them vanished.
"Hold on!" Ken shouted.
He grabbed Rin and Mina, while Grog grabbed Ken's belt. Instead of falling, Ken kicked off the air itself.
Using Aqua-Sync, he condensed the moisture in the clouds into a solid, high-pressure platform. Using his 200% Overdrive, he ignited the air behind them like a jet engine.
They streaked across the sky, a white comet heading toward the North.
"We're going to the Frozen Citadel," Ken's voice boomed through the wind. "Mo Zan thinks he can hide behind a wall of ice and code. But he forgot one thing."
Ken looked down at the world—the green forests, the neon cities, and the people below.
"The System is a game. But this... this is Reality."
