Chapter 4 - The Night of Chaos

Evening slowly covered Jugaad Junction, and for the first time, the place didn't feel completely dead. There was a guest inside. A real one. Not imaginary. Not forced. A paying customer.

But instead of relief… tension filled the air.

Raghveer "Ragz" Kashyap kept walking back and forth like a man waiting for exam results. His eyes were fixed on the room where their first customer was staying.

"If anything goes wrong… we are finished."

Zoro, sitting on the sofa, tried to stay confident but kept biting his nails.

"Relax… everything is under control."

At that exact moment, a loud THUD sound came from the guest's room.

All three jumped.

Fixer slowly turned his head.

"…Say that again."

Ragz ran toward the room.

"SIR? ARE YOU OKAY?!"

Before he could knock, the door opened, and the guest stepped out, looking annoyed.

"Why is the window making that weird sound?"

Ragz forced a smile.

"It's… natural air music."

The guest stared at him.

"…What?"

Zoro quickly jumped in.

"Yes sir! We provide a peaceful environment with… nature sounds."

The window behind them suddenly slammed loudly due to the wind.

BANG!

Everyone froze.

Fixer whispered—

"…Nature is angry today."

The guest sighed heavily.

"Just fix it."

Ragz nodded quickly.

"Yes sir, immediately!"

As the guest went back inside, Ragz turned toward the others.

"CONTROL EVERYTHING. RIGHT NOW."

And just like that… the war began.

Fixer grabbed tools and rushed to fix the window.

Zoro started adjusting random things just to look useful.

Meher quietly took Ayaan to another room, trying to keep him calm.

For a few minutes… things seemed fine.

Too fine.

And that was the problem.

Because peace at Jugaad Junction never lasted.

Suddenly—

LIGHTS OFF.

Complete darkness.

Silence.

Then—

"WHO TURNED OFF THE LIGHTS?!" Ragz shouted.

Fixer's voice came from the dark—

"…Not me this time."

Zoro panicked.

"I can't see! What if I hit my face? It's my career!"

Ragz groaned.

"Your career is already invisible!"

Meanwhile, inside the guest's room—

"WHAT IS THIS NOW?!" the man shouted angrily.

Ragz rushed blindly.

"Sir! Small technical issue!"

"SMALL?! THERE IS NO LIGHT!"

Fixer finally found a candle and lit it.

The dim light made everything look even worse.

Broken walls.

Shadows.

Chaos.

Zoro whispered dramatically—

"…Now it looks like a horror hotel."

Ragz glared at him.

"Shut up."

Meher stepped forward calmly.

"Don't worry. I'll handle this."

Her calmness was the only stable thing in the entire building.

She went to the guest and spoke softly—

"Sir, please give us a little time. We'll fix everything."

The man looked frustrated… but something in her voice made him stop.

He sighed.

"…You have ten minutes."

Ragz whispered—

"Ten minutes? We can't fix our life in ten years."

Fixer cracked his knuckles.

"Challenge accepted."

What followed was pure madness.

Fixer ran to the main switchboard.

Zoro held the candle like a statue.

Ragz tried helping but mostly got in the way.

Meher managed Ayaan and kept the guest calm.

After a few intense minutes—

CLICK.

Lights came back.

Everyone froze.

Then slowly…

They looked at each other.

"…It worked?" Zoro whispered.

Fixer smirked proudly.

"Of course. I am the fixer."

Ragz let out a deep breath.

"…Unbelievable."

For a moment… everything felt okay.

Like maybe… just maybe… they could survive this.

But then—

Ayaan started crying loudly again.

The guest opened his door, irritated.

"NOW WHAT?!"

Ragz closed his eyes.

"…Of course."

Zoro whispered—

"Perfect timing."

Before things could get worse, Meher quickly stepped forward with Ayaan.

"I'm really sorry, sir. He'll calm down soon."

The guest looked at the baby… then at her.

His anger slowly faded.

"…It's fine."

Everyone went silent.

Even Ragz looked surprised.

The guest sighed and went back inside without another complaint.

For the first time that day…

No shouting.

No anger.

Just quiet.

Ragz leaned against the wall, exhausted.

"…How did we survive that?"

Fixer shrugged.

"Luck."

Zoro added—

"Or my acting skills."

Ragz looked at him.

"Please stop."

Meher stood quietly, holding Ayaan.

Her eyes moved around the guest house.

This broken place.

These strange people.

This chaos.

And yet…

For some reason…

It felt safe.

Ragz noticed her looking around.

For a second, their eyes met.

No words.

Just silence.

Then suddenly—

Ayaan giggled.

And everyone looked at him.

Fixer smiled slightly.

"…Looks like he likes this place."

Zoro nodded.

"Or he enjoys our suffering."

Ragz sighed… but a small smile appeared on his face.

Maybe this place wasn't perfect.

Maybe it was messy, broken, and completely unstable.

But somehow…

It was alive.

And tonight…

For the first time…

Jugaad Junction didn't feel empty anymore.
