Loud thunderous footsteps sent shock waves and tremors through the ground, and a large figure rushed chased after a man with black hair who had on an exploration outfit, he ran from it his eyes darting around looking a way to escape, his eyes lit up in excitement as he made a sharp left stumbling a bit but quickly caught his balance, the creature chased after him, its figure clear, it was a T-Rex, it let out a terrifying roar at the man showing off its large sharp teeth, the vibration of the roar reverberating through the man's bones as he ran sweat starting to form on his face slightly, "Jurassic One, Jurassic One, come in. This is Isla Nublar Base Over. He shouted while running into his radio, a few seconds later a response crackled through "Go Jurassic One" a female voice came through, "Emergancy. Hostels in Pursuit, a Friendly in Need of immediate extraction." he said suddenly a small ledge came in his few, he smirked the adrenaline pumping through his veins as he sped up "Roger that, Base on our way.' the woman said, and the man heard the chopper over head, far up head, he jumped off the ledge but as he dropped down, he but pressed his body against the wall, as the T-Rex kept forward not noticing the man, the footsteps slowly fading in the distance, but he knew it wouldn't be long before the T-Rex came back, he walked towards a pile of skulls and bones that resembled those of Velociraptors, he crouched down searching the bones for something specific, 'Damn, where the hell is it?' he inwardly cursed, the familiar tremble in the ground returned, he snapped his head to his left, his eyes widened in slight fear and annoyance, they looked at the large T-Rex whose eyes were set on the man with a hungry gaze.
In the corner of his his eye his gaze landed in small skull, that had a flute like hole at the top, he smiled wide and immediately grabbed it then, blew into a loud screeching, sound and suddenly a pack of raptor jumped out from the forest and attacked the T-Rex causing it to be distracted long enough for the chopper to land and the man to run towards it getting inside as they flew away, suddenly Mr. DNA appears, in front of the boy who was who sat inside his room with a VR helmet on and controller in hand "I'm Mr. DNA, and you're the first person to ever beat our game, so we wanna reward you with a trip to Jurassic World's brand-new, state-of-the-art adventure camp. That's right, get ready to join us at Camp Cretaceous!" the boy took off his helmet his eyes glowing with excitement as he shouted "Hell the fuck yeah!" he shouted excitedly shooting up out of his chair but the dizziness hit him after having the VR helmet on for so long causing him to fall back on the ground hard, but he just laughed in excitement.
The door to his room bursting open, illuminating the dark room, his mom stood in the doorway with an angry and concerned face, looking down at the boy who just on the ground rolling around laughing "Alex, why the hell are you cursing in my house" she asked the boy named Alex, his appearance now clear he was a fifteen year old boy, he stood up at a height being 5'10, being slightly more taller than most his age , his dampened curly black framed his handsome face, his deep violet eyes looking at his mom apologetically "Sorry mom, I got to excited." he said grinning sheepishly his voice was deep but had a softness to it. But just him thinking about it got him excited again, he ran over and grabbed his mom's shoulders which startled her a bit "Mom, I'm going to camp Cretaceous." he said.
A few weeks later -
Alex stood on the island of Isla Nublar with a smile plastered on his face, he and five other campers stood in a line on the docks of the islands, in front of them was a man who wore what seemed to be standard Camp Cretaceous staff outfit,he had messy blonde hair tied back with a yellow band, brown eyes, and typically wears a red Jurassic World staff shirt with beige shorts, he greeted them, "Welcome to Isla Nublar, campers. You are the chosen few, the first kids in the entire world to ever experience the awesomeness that is Camp Cretaceous. I know, the trip from the mainland was rough on some. Hello Ben." he says and they turn left to a guy retching over the edge of the docks "But you made it! I'm Dave, head counselor. You heard that correctly-- head honcho, big shot." he said introducing himself, but before he could speak further, screeching tired behind Alex and the other caught their attention, a woman who wore the same Camp Cretaceous outfit as Dave stepped out of Jurassic World themed Mercedes- Benz G-class, modified with a large tailgate. "Ah, so sorry I'm late. Welcome, campers! I'm Roxie, head counselor of Camp Cretaceous." she said which made them turn their heads back to Dave looking at him with confusion "Well, it's sort of a co-head counselor sort of situation." he said, chuckling a bit, scratching his head. "Is it?" Roxie asked, standing next to Dave, who cleared his throat.
"Anyway, some of you won contests to be here, some of you had VIP invites, but for the next two weeks, all of you will be getting the five-star treatment!" Dave said and Roxie continued "As our first campers, we've lined up exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of Jurassic World." Alex along with the others beside Ben let out sounds of excitement, he let out a whine. "As well as kayaking, rock climbing, obstacle courses, and of course…" she continued but was cut off by the simultaneous voice "Dinosaurs!" Alex and the youngest kid out of the group of campers asked excitedly looking at each other with a smile at their shared interests, the others just gave them looks "Yes… Alex, Darius, plenty of dinosaurs." Roxie said "So, ready for an adventure?" she asked and a girl stepped forward holding her phone up filming, her bright pink dyed hair immediately drew attention, styled with long bangs framing her face and a small ponytail at the back that gives her look a playful edge. It's bold, eye-catching, and somehow suits her perfectly. Her neon green eyes are lively and expressive, always moving, always reacting, making it hard not to look at her when she's talking. A light dusting of freckles across her face softens her features, giving her a natural charm underneath all the color and energy. Her build is slim, but not flat, with soft, natural curves that give her silhouette a bit more shape. It's not something she exaggerates, but the way she dresses and carries herself makes it more noticeable in a casual, effortless way. She wears a pink jacket over a red tank top, paired with blue jeans and white shoes. The outfit feels relaxed but intentional, fitting her well without trying too hard, like she instinctively knows what works for her.
"Absolutely, but I'm gonna need that speech a little shorter, and really try to lean into the majesty of this place." she said, which got a chuckle from Dave as he said "Okay, we're going now. Let's get the seven of you to camp." but Alex looks in confusion and voices it "But there's only six of us" while Dave looks over at them saying "Wait. Dino-kid, Track-Star, Internet Girl, Game-Boy, Barfy, Texas. He's right, where's Seven?" he asks as Roxie looks down at a chart and lets out a scoff.
Alex and the other arrived at a Helipad, where a helicopter was descending, the loud whirring blocking out most other sound as the fast moving blades kicked up dust, a man goes to the door and opens it, revealing a guy who was the same age as Alex and had on a pair of Sunglasses got out holing a blue duffle bag, "Greetings, my dudes. Kenji is here, so let the party commence." he said arms spread out wide but no one was impressed, "Put this in my room" he says tossing the dufflebag to Roxie as he walked to Darius and asked "So what's your deal" but before he could answer his bag flew back at sending Kenji face first into the ground, as Roxie walked up dusting of her hands "Okay, Lets go." she says as they all follow here back to the Benz, as tehy all hopped in the tail gate and sat down.
The car sped off at a high speed which made them buckle up, "Hope you got my mom's note, I don't do well on windy roads" Ben shouts, "What's good, Brooklanders, It's your girl Brooklynn coming at you from the best place ever, Camp Cretaceous. Like and Subscribe to join me as i unbox Jurassic World!" She filmed herself on her phone before putting down her phone and looking at the others and said "Okay, I need you all to say who you are, and a little about yourself… And Action" she said pointing her camera at Darius, who was caught off guard, but still responded "Oh! Um… I beat this awesome VR dinosaur game, I'm Darius by the-" he was cut off by a girl with a light southern accent "I'm sorry, I can't believe… you're Brooklynn! I'm Sammy Guiterrez, Total Brooklander! Kapow" she says imitating gunfire with finger bangs "Oh Also my family supplies all the beef for the park, and that's how I got here." She finished, though Alex didn't pay much attention besides the part about Darius also beating the VR game, his eyes narrowed slightly when Sammy began to speak.
Her energy was way to over escatatic, maybe because she met Brooklynn, but he noticed the way her posture shifted and how like she was trying to put on a show, it gave Alex a weird sense, like something about her was off, but he couldn't place why, no one else seemed to notice, well he didn't expect them to, but he was broken from his thoughts as he noticed everyone staring at him, with Brooklynn's phone pointed towards him "Oh, is it my turn?" he asked sitting up before clearing his throat, "My name's Alex Mercer, I also beat the VR dinosaur game, and very much if anyone's interested, no guys" he said smirking with a wink at the last bit that was aimed at the camera, they just gave him an odd, but he didn't mind sitting back and patted Ben on the back who was vomiting still onto the road leaning back, not noticing the two stares that lingered on him, a bit after.
Not long after Alex noticed something moving fast out of the corner of his eye, it was fast but small in front of the car, which caused Roxie to stop the car. She and Dave got out of the car holding taser staffs "Uh Dave what's going on?" Ben asked him nervously, "Nothing you need to worry about." he said as the tasers crackled to life, "But you should all definitely stay in your seat" he said closing the door, as he and Roxie walked into the forest cautiously "Oh, God" Ben said whimpering while panting sitting back in his seat as Alex and the other unbuckled their as stood up, hoping to see a Dinosaur.
But Alex heard rustling coming from behind them, which Darius seemed to notice as he turned his head looking into the forest behind him, seeing a small move a bit "Guys, Guys" Darius tried to warn but his voice was too low, "It's not over there." Alex said which made the other snap their heads towards towards Alex then turned fully, as a small and fast creature jumped out of the bush and right at Alex who was surprised but braces before a small but slightly heavy weight hit his chest causing him to stumble back a bit sitting back down in his seat, the sight surprised and the other and caused to step back in shock, with Kenji screaming the loudest and falling down on his but he held whatever it was in his arms he looked down his eyes widen in both shock and excitement, as he saw Compsognathus (Compie), looking at him with confusion tilting its head before attempting to run jumping out, but Roxie catches it in a blanket, she put it in a cat carrier and put it in the backseat of the car. "Crisis averted, Oh, these things are always getting out of their enclosure." Roxie said, closing the door. "A real live Compsognathus!" Darius said excitedly, "How did it feel holding it" he asked Alex who was sitting in his seat still, a smile on his face, "It was small, light, scaly and soft." he said clenching his hands slightly. "Oh, please. It took a blanket and a cat carrier to catch it. Boring." Kenji said as if he hadn't fallen on his ass a few moments ago "It scared you pretty good." Alex said smirking, which got a laugh from the girls.
Embarrassed, Kenji sat back and stopped talking for the rest of the trip, Alex took a light nap, crossing his fingers behind his head, but not long they arrived at the camp "Welcome to camp cretaceous." Dave says as the large gates open wide. "Hey, Brooklanders Check this place out! Is this not the most amazing place you have ever seen?" She asked to film herself but Kenji walks into frame saying "If you think this is cool, you should see my dad's penthouse in the main Park." Brooklynn ignored him, and turned her attention to the girl who had been quiet most of the time, with only a few comments here and there.
"Yasmina! Hey, girl. So, as an elite athlete, how pumped are you for camp?" she asked her, pointing the camera at her.
Yasmina has deep brown eyes that stay focused most of the time, giving her a naturally serious look, but there's something sharp and striking about them that makes people notice. Her dark brown hair is pulled into a long, high ponytail, neat and controlled, reflecting how put-together she is. Her build is lean and athletic, clearly shaped by years of training. Long legs, toned arms, and a naturally balanced stance give her a strong, clean silhouette. She isn't bulky, but her body carries a subtle, natural curve, the kind that effortlessly blends muscle and softness, giving her frame a bit more shape without taking away from her speed.
She wears a gray running jacket, usually zipped, over a purple and gray tank top, paired with matching sport shorts. The outfit is simple and practical, but it fits her well, sitting close enough to her body to hint at her shape while still built entirely for performance.
She covered her face and looked away from the camera and said "Not a huge fan of being on camera. Or People" before running away.
Alex glanced at the interaction, but his and the others' attention was caught when Dave started speaking "Listen up! Announcement time from your co-head counselors ""Psst, still not a thing." Roxie tells Dave, "Okay, everyone, there's some ground rules to cover. Curfew's at 8:00 p.m., and lights out at 9:00 p.m. sharp." Dave said which made them all groan "This is for your safety. We are in a dinosaur-filled jungle. You must always keep your distance, or you could be seriously hurt, if not worse." Roxie said which made Ben take a step back asking "Define "Worse" "Well There's Death, being squished, chewed, mauled, maimed, crippled, to turn into a vegetable" Alex listed off, which others take a step back giving him weird looks, Ben whimpered almost crying "What it's only if you're dumb enough to sneak out at night."
"Cabins are up that-a-way." Dave said they all ran at Yasmina's words "First one there gets top bunk!" running up the steps and into the building, Alex ran after her, matching her speed, which surprised her, he noticed and winked at her with his smirk before speeding up and heading to the boys side with his suitcase in hand.
Later that night -
Alex laid in his bed a huge smile plastered on face, he thought back to earlier after they chose their bunks they got to see the Dinosaurs being herded to their nighttime inclosures, and even got to zipline above them, Alex even patted a brachiosaurus on the top of the head, after eating they headed to their bunks with the girl on their side and the boys on theirs.
He sat up in his bed, hearing movement coming from below, he looked down and saw Darius leaving the boys area to the common area, not long after Kenji followed him, he sighed figuring out what they were doing "What the hell, these damn idiots." he mutters to himself, removing his cover and put on a tank top and his shoes followed the two idiots, he walked into the Common Area, neither Darius or Kenji noticed his presence, "Look, bro. I don't want you to be intimidated by me just because I'm rich, my father owns a few condos on the island, and I'm rich." Kenji said, stepping close to Darius who said "I'm not intimidated by you." "Oh, good I just want us to be friends, and friends tell each other stuff. For instance, what they're doing out of bed after curfew. What do you think?" He hooked his arm around Darius."I think you best get your arm off me... friend." Darius told him his tone suggesting that this would escalate, but Alex decided not to intervene, and see how it would play out, only stepping in if they got physical, he noticed Brooklynn standing nearby, "What the hell, what is it with these idiots and wanting to sneak out, she's lucky she's cute." he thought to himself rolling his eyes with an inward sigh.
"Oh. Why don't you make me, friend?" Kenji asked his tone, carrying the same tone as Darius. But the sound of a camera shutter clicking and the flash from Brooklynn's phone caught them off guard "Huh, so that's what toxic masculinity looks like?' she says "You're telling me" the sound of Alex's voice scared them making them jump with a shout "I was thinking they'd either kiss or fight" he said chuckling a bit "Uh, sorry we woke you. I–" "He was sneaking out, but I set him straight. Look, I try to look out for the younger kids. It's who I am." Kenji said cutting Darius off. "Yeah, you're a horrible liar, I'd advise you not to go, because if you get caught you'll probably get sent home, but if you're planning on going to see the Compie pen, then make sure it's actually the Compie Pen, because you don't want to end up in the Carnotaurus pen or something." Alex says "Also if you get caught Blame Kenji, and I did not see or hear anything, Night Brooklynn." he finish his soon to be signature smirk on his face, and he wink at Brooklynn who was staring at him more than Kenji and Darius who seemed surprised at his earlier words and boldness.
He stretched lightly, deliberately showing off his physique, before turning around and heading back to the boys cabin.
