Chapter 1 - The Devil’s Shadow

The night was unnaturally still.

A silence that didn't bring peace…

but the kind that warned of something terrible waiting to happen.

The narrow alley lay drowned in darkness. Faint mist curled up from the cracks in the broken pavement, and a flickering streetlamp struggled to stay alive—its light weak, trembling… almost afraid.

Arisa walked faster.

A strange unease coiled in her chest, as if unseen eyes were watching her… following her… waiting.

"It's nothing… just my imagination…"

she whispered to herself.

But even her own voice failed to convince her.

Thud… thud… thud…

Her footsteps echoed off the walls.

Then—

A sound.

Low.

Heavy.

Like the growl of a predator.

Arisa froze.

Her breath caught in her throat.

And then—

A streak of black lightning tore past her.

A motorcycle.

No…

not just a motorcycle.

A weapon.

A **Kawasaki Ninja H2R**.

Behind it, four black SUVs roared into the alley, bullets tearing through the night like fire.

"Rat-tat-tat!"

The silence shattered instantly.

"Oh God…"

Arisa stumbled back, rushing behind a crumbling pillar. Her hands trembled violently.

A bullet grazed the rider's shoulder.

But he didn't stop.

If anything—

he became more dangerous.

A sharp turn—

the screech of tires—

and then—

CRASH.

The bike slammed into the wall.

Silence.

The SUVs halted, blocking both ends of the alley. Doors opened. Men stepped out, weapons raised.

One of them smirked.

"Well… looks like it's over."

He took a step forward.

"Any last words, Abir Khan?"

The name lingered in the air.

Heavy.

Dangerous.

Silence answered him.

Then—

Slowly… very slowly…

The rider stood up.

The dim streetlight fell across his face.

Arisa's breath hitched.

He was… beautiful.

Too perfect to be real.

But his eyes—

There was nothing human in them.

Only coldness.

Only control.

Only death.

"Why so quiet?" the man mocked.

"Scared?"

A pause.

Then—

Abir smiled.

Softly.

Darkly.

"Scared?"

His voice was low. Calm.

"I was just wondering… if any of you are worth keeping alive."

Before they could react—

it was over.

He moved.

No—

he **vanished**.

Gunshots exploded.

Screams cut through the air.

Bodies dropped—one after another.

Seconds.

That's all it took.

And then—

Silence.

A heavy, suffocating silence.

The alley was filled with corpses.

And in the center of it—

stood him.

Abir Khan.

Blood stained his white shirt like a twisted piece of art.

He calmly pulled out a cigarette. Lit it.

Smoke curled around his face.

Then—

he looked up.

Straight at her.

Arisa's heart stopped.

"No… no…"

she whispered, stepping back.

But her legs refused to move.

He walked toward her.

Thud… thud… thud…

Each step felt like death approaching.

He stopped just inches away.

A moment of silence.

Then—

"Not a very good hiding spot… was it?"

Arisa trembled.

"I—I didn't see anything…"

her voice broke.

"I don't know anything… please… just let me go…"

Abir tilted his head slightly.

"Interesting."

He reached out.

His fingers were cold… stained with blood.

He lifted her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze.

"Eyes don't lie,"

he murmured.

"And yours… told me everything."

Tears welled in her eyes.

"I won't tell anyone… I swear…"

A soft laugh.

Devoid of warmth.

"I don't believe in promises."

He leaned closer.

His breath brushed against her ear.

"I believe in control."

A pause.

Then, slowly—

"I found you… not to lose you."

Her heartbeat faltered.

"From now on…"

his voice dropped lower—darker—

"every breath you take… happens because I allow it."

Her lips trembled.

"W-who are you…?"

A faint smile touched his lips.

"You already know."

His grip tightened slightly.

"And that… is your biggest mistake."

Then—

"Welcome to my world, Arisa."

A beat.

His voice turned into a whisper laced with darkness—

"In my world… no one survives."

Another pause.

"Only what belongs to me… lives."

Her eyes widened.

"And you…?"

He leaned even closer.

"You're mine now."

Before she could scream—

Darkness.

A black cloth covered her eyes.

"No—!"

Her voice was swallowed by the night.

Everything faded.

Everything disappeared.

Except one terrifying truth—

**She wasn't in the wrong place…**

**She was exactly where she was meant to be.**
