Always polite. Always elegant. Always standing in the background to provide support. At least, that is all the world sees. But no one knows that behind his humble smile lies the mind of a former Ph.D. in Engineering, armed with a logical intellect far ahead of this era. When an enemy's magic approaches, instead of raising a shield, he analyzes its trajectory using a spatial coordinate system. When faced with energy problems, he applies the laws of mechanics and electromagnetism. Seeking neither fame nor power, all he desires is to protect his "sponsor" and live a peaceful life. But sometimes, to maintain that peace, you have to be the one pulling the strings behind the entire chessboard.

*****

The rustling of paper, the blue light from the computer screen reflecting in my dark-circled eyes. My past life, to sum it up, was an endless cycle of chasing deadlines at VNU-UET. From a naive freshman newly admitted to the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering program, I had devoted my entire youth to circuit boards, advanced chips, and complex signal systems. Bachelor's, Master's, and finally, trading countless drops of sweat and tears just to hold that Ph.D. degree.

The day I held in my hands my final dissertation on high-performance, ultra-low-voltage CMOS operational amplifiers (Op-Amps), I stepped out of the SCHOOL GATE (UET HAS A GATE? LMAO), taking a deep breath of fresh air. The sky that day was truly beautiful.

"Finally... I can get a full, uninterrupted sleep."

But, the god of fate must be a fanatic of cheap, fast-food isekai stories. A deafening horn tore through my eardrums. An out-of-control truck barreled toward me at a velocity that left my brain no time to calculate an escape route.

Crash!

Darkness swallowed me whole.
