Walking into the living room, I pointed to the sofa: "Please, sit, Ms. Kafka. What would you like to drink? Tea or...?"

"Tea is fine, thank you." She sat in the main armchair without hesitation, her posture relaxed yet carrying an intangible sense of control.

I turned to the kitchen to boil water and make tea, but my mind wouldn't calm down.

Kafka's presence was too strong. Even with my back to her, I could feel a gaze that seemed capable of penetrating everything resting on me.

When I returned to the living room with the freshly brewed hot tea, I found Kafka slightly tilting her head, carefully examining the furnishings of the room.

Her gaze drifted, seemingly capturing bits of information remaining in the air.

I noticed her lips moving slightly, as if she were silently murmuring something—it was indistinct, perhaps words like "interesting" or "so that's how it is"?

A moment later, she seemed to have finished her observation and refocused those deep purple eyes on me.

The gaze was calm and ripple-free, yet it seemed to hold a thousand words, making me involuntarily straighten my back.

Her all-seeing purple eyes held a trace of a smile. She took a light sip of tea and then said, in a tone mixed with pity and amusement: "How pathetic. You had just gotten used to the excitement, and you were left all alone by two genius beauties."

My heart sank.

She really did know everything, or rather, she could easily see through anything.

"However," she shifted the topic, putting down the teacup, her tone becoming light and matter-of-fact, "don't worry. I'll keep you company in the coming days."

"Eh?" I was completely stunned, my brain feeling as if it had crashed, unable to process this sudden information.

She... would keep me company? What did that mean? "Companionship" from a Stellaron Hunter? This didn't sound like simple kindness.

Just as I hadn't yet reacted, Kafka had already stood up gracefully and began walking straight toward me with those long, slender legs.

The faint, elusive scent—a mixture of dangerous floral notes—that clung to her drifted closer as well.

I subconsciously wanted to retreat, only to find myself frozen to the spot, unable to move.

Then, a soft and elastic touch pressed lightly against my back.

It was Kafka! She had actually approached from behind, pressing her full breasts against me! Through the thin fabric, I could clearly feel the astonishing curves and warmth, as well as her steady heartbeat.

A surge of heat instantly spread from the point of contact to my whole body, making my cheeks and ears begin to burn.

Immediately after, her warm breath brushed against the whorl of my ear, and her voice, carrying a bewitching magic, whispered in my ear:

"What is it? Why are you just standing there like a fool?" Her voice carried a trace of amusement and languor. "Won't you give me a tour? The rooms here... they look quite numerous. Or..."

Her voice lowered further, becoming almost a breath, carrying an ambiguity that made one's heart race:

"...Would you prefer that I stayed in the same room as you?"

BOOM—!

My brain exploded completely.

This... this development is moving too fast!

First, being left with "permission" by Ruan Mei, then the "testing" with Herta, and now Kafka suddenly appeared, not only saying she would "keep me company" but also making such intimate gestures and saying such suggestive things!

I was entirely stiff, having no idea how to react.

Refuse? Did I dare? Or rather, subconsciously... did I want to refuse? Accept? What would that even mean?

In the confusion, I only felt the soft sensation on my back become clearer and clearer, and the breath by my ear became increasingly scorching.

Finally, in a state where my brain was a total blank, I nodded almost out of instinct, using an extremely unnatural, mechanical motion, and then stiffly turned around, avoiding her gaze.

"I... I'll show you the rooms." My voice was as dry as sandpaper rubbing together.

Kafka watched my embarrassed state, the amusement in her eyes deepening, but she didn't press any further.

She stepped back, the heart-stopping sensation vanishing, leaving only the residual warmth and fragrance in the air.

"Mm, that's a bother for you then." Her tone was light, as if that ambiguous suggestion just now had been merely an offhand remark.

For the time that followed, I was like a marionette, mechanically showing Kafka around the villa.

This villa was originally prepared by Ruan Mei; it was very large, with many rooms.

I numbly introduced which was the guest room, which was the study. Every time we passed a place, Kafka would examine it carefully, her eyes filled with scrutiny, occasionally asking a question that seemed random but might actually have hidden meanings.

I tried my best to avoid eye contact with her throughout, my mind still a mess.

Finally, Kafka stopped in front of a guest room on the second floor, not too far and not too close to my bedroom.

This room had a nice view, looking out over the courtyard.

"This one will do." She glanced at the interior of the room and nodded, appearing quite satisfied. "It looks very clean and quite spacious."

Having said that, she walked straight in, placed a small, exquisite suitcase she was carrying on the bedside table, and then turned back to reveal a perfect, impeccable smile at me.

"Alright, you can go back to whatever you were doing. If I have any needs, I'll come find you."

I opened my mouth, wanting to ask why she had come, wanting to ask what her so-called "companionship" specifically meant, wanting to ask if she had some other plan... but looking into those purple eyes that seemed to be able to see through everything, all the questions stuck in my throat, and not a single word could come out.

In the end, I could only nod and retreated from the room in an almost wretched manner, gently closing the door.

Standing in the empty hallway, listening to the faint sounds coming from the room behind me, I let out a long breath, only to feel my chest tighten even more.

Ruan Mei, Herta, and now another one, Kafka...

This originally secluded villa seemed to be turning into the eye of a storm.

And I stood in this eye, looking around in confusion, at a loss.

My journey of Trailblazing seemed to be becoming more and more... unpredictable.
