Luena was asked to entertain the demi-human king
Next morning, luena wakes up in the silk sheets still trapped from yesterday her body was all sore and marked up from yesterday...even her throat was hurting .she sat on the silk sheets covering her body .. demi-king had already left the chamber.. yesterday moments were replaying on her mind when she suddenly realize it is not time for getting all shy .
(Luena): remained seated as she got up from the bed trying to find her clothes which were nowhere to be found her gaze falls on the self of the left wall filled with books and scriptures she was fascinated by seeing so many books , yes she was nerd type women..she continued to stare at the books but didn't approach the shelf..
Suddenly a voice come from her behind it was king sitting in his silk chair like an emperor shirtless...voice heavy from sleep.
(King): so you are awake little human .he eyes her sheet covered form from head to bottom
(Luena): remained frozen in her place ... didn't looked up just give a small nod to king .
(King):nods at her too as he got up from his chair his walk and presence speaking his power and control the air around him thick with his scent .
(Luena):her head remained lower she didn't look up at him while he spoke.
King stopped right infront of her before circling her like an predator...his presence suffocating....
(King):glanced at the shelf too so what we're you staring at little human other than king himself.
(Luena): hesitated
(King):tilt her hand with his hand to force her to meet his gaze ...say it little human what you were staring at..
(Luena): just books your majesty...she remained polite.
King paused glanced back at the shelf at the top were expensive jewellery but her gaze fell on books instead of precious stones...king got more curious by her.
(King ): glanced at her again like she was some king of puzzle he can't solve...she was still trembling from yesterday night moments but she was still holding her ground Without sayinga single word ...
(King):so little human can read and write ..he asked her .
(Luena):gave a small nod.
(King): interesting most of the women in my bed never looks at anything beside trying to impress me with there body again and here you are giving more attention to paper more than king himself he says with profound interest..
(Luena): slightly hesistated...I like reading books..
(King):like those romance novel most of my concubines read ..he sighs like the thought gave him headache.
(Luena):i prefer politics and philosophical books rather than novel .
(King): intrigued by her answer ..asked her some questions to test her knowledge and she gave all correct in her own sense .
King walked towards the shelf as he pull out one the famous monster philosopher written book...he toosed the book at the feet of luena like an silent challenge..you have two days finish this book and I'll ask you something question if you gave them correctly and honestly...I will give you permission to royal library at night ..
(Luena):eyes sparkled like dying stars in ocean..she smiled at him as she bend to pick the book ...she kept the book near her chest like lifeline...she turned and walked towards the door .
(King):stop he says in his commanding tone.
(Luena):stops dead in her place she was trembling from fear but looked at him in the eye...defiant which speaks says i am not afraid of you ...
(King): did i asked you to leave .
(Luena): still meet his gaze ...she says knights told me to exit your chamber at dawn so it's time for me to join the duties as maid again.
(King):staresat her with unreadable eyes but suffocating presence...after long silence NO need to join duties today..take rest and read the book you have whole two days to read the book ...if you have something to show than prove your worth .
(Luena):meets his gaze without hesitation she nods ...
(King):nods than very well little human you're not leaving my chamber until you prove your worth and if you loose you will have to spend whole week in my chamber as my bedmate.
(Luena):give a nod without hesitation..very well I try my best and give my answer .
(King):very well than little human ...be prepared to lock yourself in my chamber with me...he says with arrogant smile like he knows he will win.
(Luena):i didn't say I will won ..I said I will try my best ..to not let your hopes down your majesty she says with a what can be said a smile .
(King): something unreadable passes through Kings mind when he sees her face but clears his throat clever little human..very well than let's see your preparation by tomorrow night..
As the king turned towards the door ...he says without looking everything would be sent here from food to clothes you don't have to leave the room just focus on your book and challenge little human I am looking forward to it .as he exist the chamber
(Luena): is alone in her thoughts... thinking what might happen if she looses the challenge...whole week trapped in the chamber was like an nightmare but also there was something she can't name.
As she was in her thoughts suddenly chambers door ajar open an young women enters inside with a moveable table full force fruits and different types of juices typical noble food . As she glanced at the maid a words falls from her lips before she can stop herself.
(Luena): rhea is speaks before she can stop herself...her eyes fills with tears but she quickly hides the with her hair as the maid curiously stares at her .
Maid : miss here is your breakfast after finishing it please ring the bell and I will come again to help you dress ..she exist the chamber without looking back .
(Luena):unable to contain her emotions burst into tears remembering her only friend rhea and her words when she said this world is not what it looks like survival is only possible if you can world power ...she remembered the last words of Edward and his confession...she made her mind I will win this challenge not for me but for them ...for rhea and for Edward I will escape this place and live my full life .
As luena starts to read the book ... trying to change her faith.woukd she be able to win the challenge or she might end up becoming bedmate of the King with her plan to escape came to an end before she even starts
