Chapter 4 - A Remarkable Disciple

"I will go only as a disciple and I will keep my identity hidden. Is that okay for now?" She asked. Her father smiled.

The next day, she began her preparations. She chose very simple clothes for herself, removed all her jewelry, and left it at home. She transformed herself into a simple girl. She took her horse, who had been her friend since childhood, and set out. However, she didn't know the way. She asked a person from her kingdom for directions. He said, "Princess, I will take you there." She replied, "Fine, but you must not tell anyone that I am a princess." Though he was a bit surprised, he agreed, saying, "Alright."

As they traveled through the forest, the man asked her about the most surprising thing in her life. She said, "Many amazing things have happened in my life, but the most mysterious thing is that I have always felt I am not ordinary. I have come here to achieve something great, to learn something deep. It is this belief that drives me forward; my journey has begun from here, and these very thoughts will lead me to greatness." Talking about spirituality, the two of them traveled far beyond the borders of the kingdom.

After a long day's journey, they reached a quiet place near a beach, just past the forest. There stood a temple where some people were staying. Upon arriving, the princess felt a strange, profound sensation. She immediately realized that this was exactly what she had been waiting for since she was sixteen.

She sent the man back, dismounted her horse, tied it to a tree, and slowly entered the temple. The temple was massive, surrounded by smaller shrines. When she stepped inside, several Gurus (teachers) looked at her. The moment they saw her, they sensed a divine energy. They realized she was no ordinary girl; there was something unique about her. For a moment, they felt as if a Goddess had come to visit them. They were about to bow at her feet, but she quickly stepped back.

"Guruji, what are you doing? In truth, I have come here to bow at your feet," she said.

"Who are you?" they asked.

She replied, "I come from a neighboring kingdom. My father works in the fields. I have come here to learn about spirituality. I have been curious about this since childhood, and that curiosity has brought me to you. Will you please teach me?"

They replied, "You look like a simple girl, but you are not. At first, we thought you were a Goddess."

She said, "I have studied spirituality since I was young, but I have learned that having a Guru is essential. That is why I am here. I need a Guru to gain further knowledge."

They said, "Fine, we will teach you. But it seems to us that you already know a great deal."

She replied, "Yes, but I still wish to learn from you."

"Very well," they said, and so her next journey began.

Every day, she learned spirituality from her Gurus and practiced meditation. Eventually, she began meditating for five hours a day. She would go very deep into her meditation. Her experiences in meditation and her outlook on life began to change; even small things felt divine to her. She saw spirituality in everything. She knew that there is a reason behind every occurrence, but she also understood that if there is a scientific reason behind something, there is a spiritual one too.

Her Gurus began teaching her science as well as spirituality. They explained, "Science and spirituality are different, but ultimately, they meet at the same point."

She began working on mastering the five elements that make up the human body. She learned about the chanting of mantras, peace of mind, and the art of living in the 'present.' She realized that spirituality isn't just about God; it is about knowing oneself. God and we are not separate; we are one. However, our faith makes a difference. If we believe in God but don't believe in ourselves, it is meaningless. But if we believe in ourselves, we can believe in everything else, because that primary self-belief is there.

She understood the importance of letting go of anger, hatred, and jealousy, and instead embracing love, kindness, and gratitude for what we have. Through spirituality, she gained a deep understanding of love—that love is selfless, spiritual, and connects hearts.

Although she had come to learn from her Gurus, she eventually surpassed them in wisdom. She had understood and achieved so much that even her Gurus were stunned. Yet, she felt it wasn't enough; she hadn't yet reached the ultimate destination she sought.

She stayed there for a month. Her Gurus looked after her, protected her, and taught her everything they knew. Finally, a message came from her home calling her back. She had to leave, but even then, she did not reveal her true identity. She simply said, "I will return soon." After she left, her Gurus praised her greatly. They knew she possessed a divine spark—that she was a Goddess—and they were happy that she had chosen to be their disciple.
