Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : Life

I've always loved life. from learning new things to creating them. There was something addictive about progress, about waking up each day knowing I could become more than I was yesterday. So I studied. I worked. I pushed myself further than most people ever would.

Years passed in a blur of effort and ambition, but it paid off. Money stopped being a problem. Time became mine to control. Life, for once, felt easy, yet somehow, it never lost its sweetness. I had everything I thought I wanted.

I used to wonder if it would all become boring one day. If reaching the top meant there was nowhere left to go. But surprisingly, it never did. Every day still carried a quiet excitement, a sense that something new was waiting just around the corner.

Even marriage felt like a perfect chapter in my story. I had a beautiful wife. kind, patient, and understanding. She stood by me through the hardest years and smiled with me through the best. At least… that's what I believed.

Looking back now, I realize how blind I was.

There were signs. small things I ignored, moments that didn't quite make sense. A glance held too long. A tone slightly off. Tiny cracks in what I thought was a perfect life. But when everything feels right, you don't go looking for what's wrong.

And that was my biggest mistake.

Because life doesn't warn you when it's about to change forever.

It just does.

It started like any other day. Quiet. Ordinary. Safe.

I remember the soft glow of the evening lights, the faint hum of the city beyond the windows, and the comfort of routine wrapping around me like a familiar blanket. Nothing felt out of place. Nothing felt wrong.

Until it did.

A sound, too sharp, too sudden, cut through the silence. Voices followed, low at first, then rising. Tense. Urgent. Not meant for me to hear.

I paused.

Something in my chest tightened.

I moved closer, each step slower than the last, as if some part of me already knew… and didn't want to confirm it.

Then I heard it.

Words I was never supposed to hear.

My name.

Not spoken with love. Not with warmth. But with calculation. With intent.

The world seemed to tilt beneath me.

Every instinct screamed at me to walk away, to pretend, to ignore, to hold on to the life I thought I had. But I couldn't. I needed to know.

So I listened.

And in that moment, everything I believed in shattered.

Trust. Love. Loyalty.

All of it, gone.

What followed happened too fast and too slow at the same time. A blur of movement. A flash of realization. A cold, sinking feeling as the truth fully set in.

This wasn't a mistake.

It was planned.

My heart pounded violently, but my body felt strangely heavy, like it no longer belonged to me. I tried to react, to move, to say something, anything. but I was already too late.

Pain came next.

Sharp. Sudden. Absolute.

Then… nothing.

No sound. No light. No feeling.

Just silence.

I thought that was the end.

I was wrong.

Because in the darkness, something stirred.

A faint glow.

A presence.

And then—
