CeCe's mood remained unusually good even after Min Gui left. She couldn't stop touching her lips every now and then while wondering about the strange warmth she felt earlier.
It wasn't uncomfortable. If anything, it felt comforting, almost like she was wrapped in something warm and gentle. No matter how much she thought about it, she couldn't figure out what it meant.
By the time she returned to her room, Emily was already waiting impatiently for her.
The moment she noticed the thick ancient book in CeCe's hands, her eyes widened immediately.
"You got it?!" she asked excitedly before practically snatching the book away from her.
CeCe laughed and sat down comfortably beside her. "I did."
Emily looked between the book and CeCe suspiciously. "Wait... how did you even get it? I thought finding this book would be difficult."
"It was....."
"Then?"
CeCe coughed awkwardly. "Min Gui helped me."
Emily froze. "The Prime Lord?"
