Chapter 4 - Samurai: The Kitsune

Millions of samurais clashed endlessly, katana striking flesh without care for the lives they extinguished.

Blood soaked the battlefield, flowing through generations of unending conflict and unrelenting hatred.

The red flag of the Hudai Clan waved atop a distant cliff, marking their territory.

Ox Hudai, white-haired and seasoned, stood calmly in the center, his gaze unwavering over the chaos.

Next to him, Commander Shiro Hudai, youthful yet disciplined, observed the battlefield with quiet precision.

Ox turned to Shiro and asked, "Looks like your training hasn't paid off yet."

Shiro met his gaze calmly, bowing slightly, his expression disciplined and unwavering despite the tension.

Ox's voice remained steady. "It's taking us far too long to finish them off."

Shiro bowed again, replying, "I sincerely apologize… I will correct my approach immediately, my lord."

Ox's eyes narrowed slightly. "What is your plan, Commander? Will you step into the fray?"

Shiro's lips curved subtly. "We still have that monster, waiting for its perfect moment."

He called aloud, "Kune, the prodigy… unleash him."

Rippling water reflected the moonlight, disturbed suddenly as someone stepped upon it, splashing violently.

Polivera, the grumpy leader of the Yuushef Clan, noticed the newcomer with rising panic.

He grabbed his commander by the collar. "Where is Sinu? Answer me, you fool!"

The commander panicked slightly. "Your honor… it is not my fault; I sent him a message."

Two samurai paused mid-combat, noticing a figure standing lazily, a golden kitsune mask covering his face.

One Yuushef samurai parried his opponent's strike and charged boldly toward the newcomer.

He swung his katana and shattered the golden mask, revealing Kune's casual expression underneath.

"Your action was meaningless," Kune muttered, rolling gracefully as he picked up his katana.

Before anyone could react, he sliced through the samurai in a blink of an eye.

He landed lightly, voice calm. "Concentrate."

Standing fully, he added, "Discipline."

Kune dashed forward with incredible speed, slashing multiple opponents in a single, fluid motion.

Countless samurai fell beneath his blade, his momentum unceasing, unstoppable across the battlefield.

The wind from his movements forced many soldiers to stumble, their breaths scattered violently.

Kune gestured subtly, and countless opponents crumbled before even reaching him, the power overwhelming.

Yuushef archers fired flaming arrows on command, trying to slow his advance.

"What a hassle," Kune murmured, catching the fire without so much as flinching.

Closing his eyes, he raised a hand toward the moon, preparing his next move.

"In that case…" he whispered, forming a tornado with immense precision.

"Drop dead, fools," he commanded, the vortex ripping through the battlefield effortlessly.

A single feather quill flew out of the tornado, which he caught calmly.

"This is enough," he said, finally serious, his presence radiating deadly intent.

"For weaklings like you, even moving this quill is dangerous," he added, flickering purple flames.

Leaping forward, he shouted, "You chase crowns for nothing!"

Thousands fell beneath his blades as he ran, the battlefield reduced to chaos instantly.

Ox Hudai observed from the cliff, whispering to Shiro, "What a monster… a true prodigy."

Shiro screamed toward Kune, continuing his command across the warzone.

"Remember… even if it costs your life!"

Kune continued, finishing Shiro's sentence in rhythm with his deadly strikes.

"Sacrifice is the highest honor!"

His quill created a domain of slashes, a torrent of precise, inescapable cuts.

The battlefield became a graveyard within moments, almost everyone perishing under Kune's skill.

A horse thundered across the battlefield, snow and mud flying in every direction.

On its back sat two figures, samurai hats tossed aside.

The taller one laughed softly. "What's up, folks?"

No one responded, only the sounds of clashing katana and screaming soldiers filled the air.

The other rider grinned calmly. "Did the battle already end, or did we miss the fun?"

Hoshi jumped off the horse, landing clumsily in mud, boots sinking slightly.

Sinu followed, aura flickering faintly, ice forming in jagged shards along his arms.

Donghi's voice rang from the distance. "Give it your best, fool!"

Hoshi's black eyes narrowed. "We're not here to joke around, Sinu."

Sinu muttered under his breath. "We need to survive… or the village is lost."

Kune turned slowly, noticing the two newcomers, walking casually through the chaos.

Mud splashed beneath his boots as he stepped forward, movements effortless, each step precise.

Hoshi swung his katana, mud spraying everywhere. "Over here, you brute!"

Kune tilted his head slightly, expression calm. "Predictable," he said softly.

Sinu formed ice spikes from the mud around them, launching them with precision.

Kune stepped sideways, letting the shards strike the ground harmlessly, snow and mud scattering.

Hoshi tried a flanking maneuver, sliding forward, black eyes sharp, searching for openings.

Kune pivoted effortlessly, closing the distance before Hoshi could react, wind from his movement slapping the soldiers back.

"Focus, Hoshi! Don't get reckless!" Sinu shouted, lunging with ice fists.

Kune ducked under the strike, mud flying into Sinu's face. "You're sloppy," he said calmly.

Hoshi landed a swing, trying to distract him. "Keep your distance, Sinu!"

Kune flicked his wrist lightly; ice shards from Sinu shattered before hitting him.

Mud exploded around Hoshi as Kune closed the gap, unbothered by the chaos.

"Is that all?" Kune asked, voice cold, stepping through debris and fallen soldiers alike.

Sinu and Hoshi tried to coordinate, one attacking while the other distracted, but Kune adapted instantly.

Hoshi shouted, sliding on mud. "We need a plan! We can't keep this up!"

Kune blocked their combined strike with minimal effort, body moving like water, lethal and smooth.

Sinu froze a small puddle beneath Kune's foot, but he leaped effortlessly, landing closer to Hoshi.

Mud splattered on Hoshi's face as he swung wildly, frustration clear. "He's too fast!"

Kune smiled faintly, closing in. "Persistence won't save you."

Sinu formed another ice wall, raising it above himself, but Kune simply sliced through it with one step.

Hoshi jumped backward, sliding, almost falling. "He's… unstoppable!"

Kune glanced at them briefly, shrugging, as if annoyed by the effort it took.

"You fight well… for mortals," Kune said, stepping past another wave of ice.

Sinu growled, forming multiple spikes in rapid succession, but Kune ducked and pivoted, snow and mud scattering.

Hoshi charged again, yelling, sliding through mud, boots barely gripping frozen ground.

Kune flicked a piece of mud casually toward Hoshi, sending him stumbling. "Messy, messy…"

Sinu tried to restrain him with ice chains, but Kune ripped through them without effort.

Hoshi tripped in the mud, shouting, "We need to combine our attacks!"

Kune laughed softly, voice echoing, "Combined attacks? Cute."

The battlefield trembled as he advanced, barely moving, effortlessly dodging and countering.

Sinu's aura flared, ice forming rapidly, creating shards around him, yet Kune sliced through with minimal effort.

Mud and snow flew everywhere as Hoshi swung desperately, trying to anticipate his moves.

Kune advanced again, calmly cutting through every attack, body moving with perfect rhythm and precision.

Hoshi gritted teeth, sliding in mud. "He's… reading us… every move!"

Sinu formed a massive ice spike, aiming to pin him momentarily, but Kune sidestepped gracefully.

"Focus or die," Sinu muttered under his breath, eyes flashing with urgency.

Hoshi lunged beside him, boots splashing through mud, trying to land a hit simultaneously.

Kune shifted his weight, avoiding both effortlessly, leaving mud and ice flying in every direction.

"Your coordination is… amusing," Kune said, walking through the chaos, unfazed.

Hoshi's black eyes narrowed, sliding through mud, desperate to find a gap.

Sinu's hands glowed, ice forming rapidly, but Kune stepped forward, effortlessly evading.

"Persistence only delays the inevitable," he said, boots splashing mud across the battlefield.

Hoshi yelled, sliding under another attack. "We… we can't beat him like this!"

Kune smirked faintly, calm and lethal. "Survival is about adaptation, not strength."

Sinu and Hoshi exchanged glances, realizing brute force would not work against him.

Mud, snow, and ice scattered violently as they tried to coordinate, yet Kune anticipated every move.

Hoshi slipped again, mud covering him entirely. "I hate this battlefield!"

Kune's pace didn't falter, closing in, aura calm yet menacing. "Weakness is obvious to those who can see."

Sinu braced himself, ice spikes forming everywhere, preparing for the next attempt.

Hoshi rolled through mud, screaming, "We survive or the village is gone!"

Kune tilted his head slightly, body moving through mud and ice seamlessly. "Then fight… and die trying."

Mud flew as Hoshi and Sinu lunged simultaneously, coordination frantic, but Kune avoided effortlessly.

The battlefield echoed with clashes, shouts, mud and ice flying in chaotic patterns.

Hoshi yelled, sliding, trying to gain any advantage, boots nearly losing grip.

Sinu's ice flared violently, shards forming a barrier, yet Kune ripped through with minimal effort.

Hoshi swung wildly, snow and mud scattering, frustration and desperation clear.

Kune advanced steadily, calm and methodical, ignoring the chaos, closing distance relentlessly.

Sinu shouted, "Hoshi! Together! Don't let him isolate us!"

Hoshi nodded, sliding through mud, black eyes sharp, ready to follow Sinu's lead.

Kune smirked faintly, stepping through mud and debris effortlessly. "Predictable… all of it."

Hoshi and Sinu coordinated one final attempt, ice and sword converging, boots slipping in mud.

Kune ducked, sidestepped, and countered with a motion so smooth it seemed like play.

Hoshi yelled, mud in his eyes. "We… we're too slow!"

Sinu's aura flared violently, ice forming rapidly, but Kune simply moved past, boots barely sinking.

"Stop struggling… you're outmatched," Kune said, voice calm, steps precise.

Hoshi glared, mud dripping from his face. "We… can't give up… not now!"

Sinu froze briefly, thinking about the village, then shouted, "Hoshi! Again!"
