Chapter Ten
**Daenerys's POV**
Dany was getting nervous as the rest of the Thirteen gathered behind their guards of course, the rest of the guests stayed near the outer edge to give the two plenty of space.
Ser Jorah was at her side, pulling her away gently from the two competing over magic, of course she allowing herself to be moved learning better to trust in his instincts.
Hermione didn't seem the type to show off unless it had a purpose.
Dany couldn't for the life of her understand that purpose, seeing as she had just met the man and he didn't seem all that bad just a bit strange. She just hoped that Hermione didn't get hurt trying to do something stupid.
This warlock was far older and probably more experienced than the younger witch. She had never seen a magical battle, and she didn't know just how this would go if it turned into a battle, and she could only hope this ended peacefully.
The warlock started to speak. "What makes you so sure of yourself, little witch? You believe yourself superior to the Undying Warlocks?"
He eyed her up and down slowly, circling her, a sneer on his face.
Hermione, for her part, had a look of absolute confidence, not moving an inch as she watched him circle.
He finished his circle of her and faced her directly, looking down on the smaller girl.
"I've dealt with your kind before, it's pretty boring, really," she said with a dismissive wave.
This caused a stir among the crowd and even a few chuckles from among the other Thirteen. "It seems she is not impressed by your little parlor tricks either Pyat," the spice lord added with a laugh.
Dany took note of that, they were not so united after all and divided they could be reasoned with.
Pyat Pree, at this point, was looking livid, being laughed at and feeling humiliated.
"Then please, be my guest, show us all the power of your old gods, Woods Witch," he said with a derisive snort.
This statement caused a small commotion in the crowd, some eager to see what she had in store for everyone, other not so sure.
Hermione simply smiled and started walking toward the lit hearth in the center of the room, the fire gentle and constant.
"To understand the spell I wish to show you, it needs context," she paused to start warming her hands by the fire. "There was this evil wizard who found a way to split his soul into pieces and store them into near-indestructible vessels."
Hermione said this while looking up, there were a few gasps from the crowd, but Dany noticed Pyat Pree's hand almost reach for something under his robe, it looked like a knife handle but Dany could not be sure.
Hermione then continued while looking back at the fire. "This particular evil monster split his soul into seven different vessels, and by the end, his body, mind, and soul were all disfigured beyond belief or possible recovery, but his power stayed the same. These objects are known as Horcruxes.
She paused as she started rubbing her covered left arm again, a look of pain hidden deep inside coming across her face.
"You see, these Horcruxes, as we refer to them, are like leeches. Once they infect a person, they can suck their very life force dry in order to be reborn. And they keep repeating this cycle over and over until the Horcrux is destroyed. Essentially giving the person a form of immortality, at the cost of there humanity and are almost always disfigured in some way. Over time if no magical person can be used to syphon you can use essence of nightshade potion to prepare people with no magic to be syphoned but this time its there soul you devour instead."
As she said this, panicked talk started growing through the room, many seeing the description and matching it to the warlocks just as Dany had done, she now understanding why Hermione didn't like these Warlocks.
"Let me guess this spell hides these indestructible objects as you described, so they will forever be out of reach?" he simply laughed at her "many have tried such as you and none can enter the Tower without being invited and we will never let you in Witch."
Hermione smiled and said, "I said near-indestructible once you learn how, the trick is easy." This response changed everything all at once.
Pyat Pree's face then started to distort, and the color in his skin began to grey and crack.
"Clever witch, but even if you could trap me, you can never get inside the tower hall."
He then started cackling like a madman and, with a snap of his fingers, fifteen armed men came into the pavilion with raised weapons they started attacking the guards of the other Thirteen with sneak and stealthy magic like attacks. Xaro screaming to Pyat about this not being part of the plan which confused everyone.
The leadership of the Thirteen started shouting their displeasure, and there guards doing there best to defend there leaders.
Hermione simply snapped her fingers, and everyone in the room, Ser Jorah and myself included, everyone frozen in place still as a statue.
It wasn't even uncomfortable, for her it felt almost like laying down on a very downy bedding she just couldn't move she could move her eyes and hear everything thou. At this moment you could hear a pin drop and everyone was just still.
Even Pyat Pree's eyes were moving around in his head, looking frantic confusion and angry easily seen in his stare.
"That's much better", Hermione stated as she walked toward the attacking men frozen in place, then she scanned them up and down waving her wand muttering words Dany couldn't hope to understand, she then shook her head and cursed quietly in disgust.
Then she did yet another odd thing.
She held out her hand, and the magic sword Dany had seen sheathed locked in Hermione's tent materialized into the girls hand, even more miraculously the moment it touched her hand it started changing shape.
It now resembled an extremely fancy water-dancing blade from Braavos, but so much more.
When she unsheathed the blade, Dany could swear she almost heard a low growl or hiss maybe a roar it was a very strange experience.
Hermione simply smiled at the blade and said, "So you accept me, then."
She then walked up to each of the frozen men and simply poked them each once, not even enough to wound them seriously just a poke, in some cases not even a full inch just enough to draw a bit of blood.
It was almost like she was toying with them, but she could not imagine Hermione being cruel, just one quick poke and move on.
Then she got to Pyat Pree and said out loud, "I know of your deal with Xaro Xhoan Daxos to kidnap the princess and the dragons and murder off the rest of the Thirteen and name him your puppet king."
Then she held her hand up, and a blue ball of liquid fire rose from her palm. "This is a spell of my own invention it is the inverse of Fiendfyre spell it loves to consume corruption
"I spent every waking moment I had while wearing one of those foul and loathsome things, creating this spell. Since then, I have developed a sense for evil magic and a deep need to see it get rid of it."
She paused.
"As for your friends in the tower, well... I sent a friend that hates evil men such as yourself, even more than I do, so they will be joining you presently."
Hermione said this while taking a breath.
"Well, let's just say I made her an object, that I'm sure would see me labeled a war criminal back home. But as an American I heard once say, 'It's never a war crime the first time.'"
She said this with such a sweet smile that Dany actually felt her body shiver, which didn't feel possible, seeing as she couldn't even blink. Just who was this *American*? what war crime?
"Oh, if you're still confused, while you're in Hell, ask for a bitch named Bellatrix all about the power of house elves, to make them look the right fool. And please do let her know Hermione Granger says hello." She said with venom in her voice.
Then she gently blew on the liquid fire ball, it then started gliding over to the unmoving man, and it ever so gently floated over till it touched him.
The liquid blue fire quickly started to consume the unmoving and soundless man as his body started disintegrating in a bluish liquid, till there was nothing left but ash. The liquid fire now extinguished having nothing left to consume.
"Shall we go outside and watch the fireworks?" Hermione asked with a chipper voice.
With another snap of her fingers, everyone was freed except Xaro, who now was tied up with ropes that appeared out of nowhere, to secure and gag the man.
The men that had been stabbed by her sword all just crumpled to the ground dead, black veins prominent, there skin pale deathly white. She had never heard of something like this before it had been only 30 seconds and every one of them was dead.
*Poison * but no poison she had ever heard of could kill within seconds, maybe a full minute at least, but that would have to be ingested she just poked them wherever was available most if not all of them should still be alive if not just starting to get sick.
Dany's Blood Riders were fast to grab weapons and secure the man, just waiting for the order to end him with their weapons on his neck.
Hermione led everyone outside, no one had argued in fear of this little girl, and some were a bit curious just what she had planned she had said war crime after all.
With a clear view of the Tower of the Undying, a rumbling was felt thru the ground. People then began to pay closer attention to the tower.
Blue fire burst out of every window on the lower floors of the tower, and the flames very quickly rose licking up the side of the building in a frenzy to consume, fire bursting through each level faster and faster the hunger of the soul fire raising towards the heavens till the very top of the tower erupted in a shower of flame and stone, the broken stones rained down near the base as the rest of the tower was turned into ash.
What came out of the destruction had caught everyone off guard, with a roar it rose.
A blue liquid fire dragon rose into the sky, flying higher and higher roaring its triumph to the heavens till it erupted in a display of beautiful fireworks which continued for tens of seconds, shocking the people around the city, at the colorful display of beautiful lights.
Then Hermione simply looked at Dany and the Thirteen.
"Xaro Xhoan Daxos is all yours, I'm going to bed I suggest giving them the rings now before we leave. This has been a lovely evening I'll see you in the morning, Princess. We have to pack for the voyage so we will be waking early."
Then Hermione simply disappeared with a pop.
Dany simply looked at the rest of the Thirteen, almost all of them with looks of horror on their faces, having one of their members killed and another tied up after an attempted coup. A few on the other hand were more calculating and she was sure she had not seen the last of them by a long shot.
Until then this was going to be a long night, how was she even going to start.
And Hermione just threw her in the deep end after making it deeper.
She just looked back at what was left of the 13 the 11 didn't sound as good, they in turn were looking at her expecting... well something. She cleared her throat and started by saying, "So..."
