Chen Luoqiu walked out of the room and closed the door.
Turning around, in the darkness, the blanket on the bed in the corner was bunched up.
She walked over, slipped under the covers as if entering a warm furnace. Then a pair of large hands reached over, pulling her into a solid chest. The masculine scent made her head spin, yet she was deeply enamored.
Alex's lips pressed against her ear as he whispered, "Is your mom feeling better?"
Chen Luoqiu gasped for breath. After a moment, she whispered back, "Much better after taking the medicine. If nothing's wrong tomorrow, I won't take her to the hospital. Did you see her just now?"
The topic shifted a bit quickly. Alex was taken aback, then nodded. There was no point hiding it: "She fell in the bathroom earlier. I went in to help her up. She mistook me for you."
In the darkness, Chen Luoqiu's expression turned somewhat odd, as if she wanted to say something but stopped herself.
Then, Alex's voice asked, "By the way, what's wrong with your mom's legs? Was she injured before?"
Chen Luoqiu frowned: "A strange illness. Many years now. Many hospitals have been helpless."
"That's tough." Alex stroked her back tenderly. Now he finally understood where Chen Luoqiu's pressure came from. In her teens, she not only had to cover her own tuition and living expenses but also her mother's medical costs. The dream world must have felt like heaven to her.
Chen Luoqiu looked at him softly: "I'm used to it. Now, I have you."
"Mm." Alex leaned in to kiss her, wanting her to feel his tenderness. The girl closed her eyes and responded skillfully.
The girl's lips were like jelly—moist, soft, elastic, making it hard to let go.
Only when he felt her gasping for breath did Alex release her, holding her gently yet firmly.
Her face pressed against his chest, listening to his strong heartbeat, her nose filled with his scent, Chen Luoqiu's lips curved into a smile. No matter how wonderful the dream world was, without you, it would be worthless.
Suddenly, as if remembering something, Alex sat up abruptly.
Chen Luoqiu looked at him in surprise.
Alex's expression was hesitant, filled with uncertainty. He took a deep breath and said to her seriously, "A-Qiu, I might have a way to heal your mother's legs."
Chen Luoqiu was silent for a moment, then leaned over and snuggled into his embrace, sighing, "My mother's illness isn't just about money. We used to live in a small apartment in the city center, but we sold it to move here for treatment. Now the money is gone, and my mother is still like this."
Alex was taken aback and apologized, "I'm sorry."
"Alex, you don't need to apologize. I don't blame you. If it were you, I'd even be willing to consider being a kept woman."
Chen Luoqiu smiled and reached up to rub his face.
"Do I even need to keep you?" he asked, leaning down with his forehead against hers.
"No need to pay, it's free," she giggled.
These words immediately ignited Alex's thoughts. He laid her down on the bed, lying on his side facing the wall, with him behind her, holding the girl's waist.
...
The next day.
In class.
The teacher was lecturing, and chalk was writing on the blackboard. Alex stared at the board, seemingly listening intently, but a box popped up in his vision.
[Massage Technique, upgradable, possesses magical effects. Do you wish to learn it?]
[Yes!]
Without hesitation, he learned this skill he had obtained from a treasure chest a while ago, which he had thought was useless.
