Chapter 114 - Chapter 87: Aftermath

Keifer carefully withdrew from Jay, her body limp and spent. He tied off the condom and disposed of it before lifting her gently into his arms. She could barely hold onto him, her exhaustion evident in her weak grip. He carried her to the bathroom, cradling her as if she were precious and fragile. Running a warm bath, he lowered her into the water, using a soft cloth to clean her with feather-light touches. He leaned in, kissing her deeply and tenderly. Jay moaned softly into his mouth, her body still responsive despite her fatigue.

"You're so beautiful," he whispered, his voice a stark contrast to his earlier wildness. Jay managed a weak smile, her eyes fluttering closed as she leaned into his touch.

Keifer carefully withdrew from Jay, her body limp and spent beneath him. He held the base of the condom as he pulled out, tying it off with practiced ease before disposing of it in the bin beside the bed. Jay lay there, her chest rising and falling in shallow breaths, her eyes half-closed with exhaustion. She looked utterly undone, her hair plastered to her forehead, her skin glistening with sweat and the remnants of their passion.

"Come here, baby," Keifer whispered, his voice soft and tender, a stark contrast to the wild, feral tone he'd had just moments before. He slid his arms beneath her - one behind her shoulders, the other under her knees - and lifted her as if she weighed nothing. Jay's head lolled against his chest, her arms weakly wrapping around his neck, her fingers barely able to grip.

"Keifer..." she murmured, her voice barely audible, thick with fatigue.

"I've got you," he soothed, pressing a gentle kiss to her temple. "Just hold on to me."

He carried her across the room, each step slow and deliberate, cradling her against his chest like she was the most precious thing in the world. Jay's eyes fluttered closed, her body completely trusting in his arms, too exhausted to do anything but let him take care of her.

In the bathroom, he lowered her onto the closed toilet seat, keeping one hand steady on her back to make sure she didn't slump over. She swayed slightly, her eyes opening just enough to watch him move. Keifer turned on the faucet, letting the water run warm before soaking a soft washcloth. He wrung it out, then knelt before her, his touch feather-light as he began to clean her.

Jay shivered at the contact, her breath catching.

"Cold," she whispered.

"Sorry, love," he murmured, his voice warm and apologetic. He ran the cloth over her inner thighs, gentle and thorough, his eyes focused on her comfort rather than desire. "Let me take care of you."

He cleaned her slowly, reverently, his touch nothing like the rough hunger from before. When he finished, he set the cloth aside and cupped her face in his hands. His thumbs brushed over her cheekbones, his eyes searching hers with concern and adoration.

"Okay?" he asked softly.

Jay nodded weakly, a small smile touching her lips. "Mmm... tired."

Keifer leaned in, his mouth finding hers in a slow, deep kiss. It was tender, unhurried, filled with affection rather than lust. Jay moaned softly into his mouth, her lips parting for him even as her body sagged with exhaustion. She kissed him back with what little energy she had left, her fingers weakly clutching at his shoulders.

He pulled back just enough to rest his forehead against hers, his breath warm against her lips. "I love you," he whispered. "So much."

"Love you too," she breathed, her eyes drifting shut again. "Don't... let go."

"Never," he promised, scooping her back into his arms. He carried her back to the bedroom, lowering her onto the fresh sheets he'd pulled back while she was in the bathroom. He climbed in beside her, pulling her against his chest, his arms wrapping around her protectively.

Jay nestled into him, her body fitting against his like she belonged there. She was already half-asleep, her breathing slowing, her muscles finally relaxing. Keifer held her close, his fingers tracing lazy patterns on her back, his lips pressing soft kisses to her hair.

"Sleep, Jay," he whispered. "I've got you."

She made a small, contented sound - something between a sigh and a moan - and drifted off, safe in his arms.
