Arthur's voice resounded. Right now, they were in the middle of a pine tree forest. Beside him were Leon and Jack and one other fellow.
"Boom!!"
Jack, who was carrying a massive bag, filled with different tools and ammunition, dropped it to the ground and began offloading it.
"Satisfied? We are nowhere near a military installation…."
Leon looked back at their guest and said. This man was a tall, well-built military officer, but he had one flaw, he was greedy and loved money.
"Not yet, I want to see what you're doing"
The military officer responded, he was called marcove. And he was the one Arthur sent jack to meet about the hell fire rocket launchers. At first, he said no adamantly, but as the price kept going up he couldn't help but feel tempted.
Finally, his greed gave in, and he agreed to lend the launchers to them on the condition that he supervises their use. These were military grade weapons, he couldn't let them be used against the military, the cops were fair gain in his eyes, though.
"Let him watch."
Arthur said while staring into the forest filled with pine trees.
Meanwhile
Down town of Delta city, on the street of a local coffee shop, several young men and women were busy having a good time. There was massive traffic on both sides of the road. It was just a typical day in Delta city.
However, unknown to them, a phenomenon that would rock their world was just about to happen.
"What the...?!!"
From inside a car in the traffic, an older lady in her 40s stepped out and looked up at the sky. At first, she didn't notice it, but one of her children had pointed out, so she looked over.
A semitransparent planet completely covered the sky. It was astonishing, it was at least 8x the size of the earth, because even though she could see the planet, she could only see 1/8 of its size.
"What the hell is that???!!!"
Soon others began noticing this change and they became hysterical. It wasn't easier to process this. How did this even happen?
"Meteor!!! Run for your lives"
"It's the end of the world"
Wild panic ensued

A group of three young men and a middle-aged one stood in front of a number of pine trees in awe. They, too, had noticed this new object in the sky and couldn't help but be shaken.
Only, their leader Arthur wasn't. He looked on with a sense of anticipation. It was happening.

A holographic window appeared before Arthur and the others, but they weren't startled.
"Prepare yourselves"
Arthur gave one last instruction before
"Wang!!!!"
A sound accompanied by a flash of bright light echoed from a short-distance away. All of a sudden, a massive windigo looking beast appeared from the light.
It had a massive skull face and arms that were longer than its body. Most of all, it had boney structures covering its vital parts.
"Shit!!"
Seeing this, the military officer named marcove fell to the ground as he hurriedly ran in the opposite direction. His first instinct was to run, he was a coward.
"Leon, Draw its attention."
Arthur commanded, and as soon as he did, Leon pulled out a modified M1 garand and shot it at the windigo.
"Bang bang!!"
Feeling the bullets hit a side of its arm, the windigo's attention turned to Arthur and the rest
"Roar!!!!!" It went berserk.
Arthur could only smile. This windigo looking beast was what they called a carrier. For the first week of orlong's appearance, several of these beasts would land on earth and begin procreating.
They would give rise to different species of beasts that would soon overtake this world.
"Jack, Give it a warm welcome"
As the beast was about to charge at Arthur, he gave a simple command and not even a second later.
"Puuuu"
A dangling projectile flew past Arthur and quickly exploded on the windigo.
"Boom!!!"
"Boom!!"
The hellfire Missile pushed the windigo back several steps. However, it soon picked itself back up. There was little two no damage, only the impact pushed it back.
"Remember what I said, eyes to slow it down and chest to push it back"
Arthur instructed before pulling out a modified shotgun with a spear attached to it.
"Woosh"
As soon as Arthur pulled it out, he rushed directly towards the windigo causing Leon and Jack to be momentarily shocked.
Even though they were going along with this like it was normal, deep down they were terrified. So seeing Arthur rush towards this creature was very scary to them.
These thoughts belong to them alone though because, Arthur knew what he was doing. He dashed towards them at full speed.
"Roar!!!!"
Noticing Arthur's dash, the Windigo looked downwards at him, preparing to attack. But, the shots from Leon kept drawing him back.
"Now!!!"
While his figure got closer and closer to the windigo, Arthur alerted Jack, who immediately shot out another round of hellfire Missiles. "Boom!!" "Boom!!" "Boom"
Seeing this opportunity open up, Arthur ran between the windigo's legs and released two shots to its groin, causing it to fall on its knees.
Then he proceeded to climb its back.
His target was its under-skull, it was a part of the windigo that was most vulnerable, from afar it was covered by bones, but upon getting close enough…hit becomes accessible.
"F*ck!! He's out of his mind"
Seeing how dangerous this situation was getting, Leon gritted his teeth and started advancing towards the windigo.
"Bang!! Bang!!"
"Bang!! Bang!!"
They wanted to distract it long enough for Arthur to finish what he was planning.
"Bang"
"Bang"
Slowly Leon moved towards the windigo, his shots only caused the already damaged windigo to push itself backwards, meanwhile protecting its face.
However, as soon as its back touched one of the pine trees behind it, the gunshots stopped. The windigo dropped its hands and looked over its shoulder.
There stood a young man with a grenade in his hand.
"Bye"
Arthur causally threw the grenade into the eye socket of the windigo's exoskeleton, then jumped down from its shoulder.
And not even a second later
"Boom!!!"
The windigo fell to the ground lifeless.
