Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: King Attacks! Mihawk vs King!

Rowan quietly shot Nico Robin a look, as if to say, Isn't that laying it on a little thick?

Robin didn't react at all.

Morgans, on the other hand, became incredibly enthusiastic toward Rowan. He reached out with both wings, grabbed Rowan's hand, and shook it up and down.

"So you're Lord Rowan. I'm Morgans. If you ever have any major news in the future, please do keep me in mind."

The reason it's "both wings" rather than "both hands" is simple.

He had offended too many people over the years, especially by constantly exposing huge stories and angering even the World Government.

So, to avoid being caught, Morgans, as a Bird-Bird Fruit, Model: Albatross user, stayed in his hybrid form year-round.

As a result, no one had ever really seen what he looked like in his true form.

That was one reason he had managed to stay free all the way up to now.

Of course, strength was another factor.

He wasn't some great fighter, but he wasn't helpless either.

In the original story, when the World Government decided Morgans was about to expose something they didn't want exposed, they sent a CP agent to capture him, only for Morgans to beat the agent instead.

And anyone who qualified to be a CP agent had been tempered into a superhuman.

So if Morgans could beat one, he obviously wasn't lacking in ability.

Faced with Morgans's over-the-top enthusiasm, all Rowan could do was laugh awkwardly. He really wasn't good at dealing with hyper-social people like this.

Fortunately, just then, something else happened that pulled Morgans's attention away.

Boom!

Another huge explosion rang out, and in the distance, the sky was split by a flying slash. Mixed into it was a pained dragon's roar that echoed across the heavens.

There was no doubt the slash came from Shimotsuki Ryuma, and the roar came from Kaido.

Morgans's attention was instantly captured by the scene. He no longer cared about chatting with Rowan and started running toward the battlefield on both legs.

Clearly, he hadn't forgotten why he came here in the first place. He was here to catch a world-shaking story, not to hang around talking.

Honestly, Rowan could've cried from admiration.

Watching Morgans run off into the distance, Rowan couldn't help sighing.

Now that's a real journalist.

The battle between Kaido and Ryuma was unimaginably brutal. If an ordinary person got dragged into it, forget one life—ten wouldn't be enough.

Morgans might have some ability, but compared to Kaido and Ryuma, he was nowhere near their level. If he got caught up in the fight, there was no telling what would happen to him.

And yet, for the sake of a massive story, he charged in without a moment of hesitation.

What kind of spirit was that?

Even in Rowan's world, there were very few reporters willing to throw themselves onto the front lines.

Sure, Morgans loved sensationalism. He exaggerated the truth for attention, distorted stories according to his own preferences, and even made things up sometimes.

But after seeing this with his own eyes, Rowan still felt he was a real journalist.

For news, this guy truly didn't care about his own life.

Robin looked like she was about to laugh in exasperation. She had brought Morgans here because she wanted to make a deal with him, yet before she could even bring up her terms, he had already run off.

Really…

She honestly didn't even know how to start complaining about it.

Luckily, Morgans still had at least a little common sense. He didn't run straight up to Kaido and Ryuma to film them in their faces. Instead, he stayed hidden in a dangerously close area and started recording the battle.

The fight went from daytime into afternoon and still hadn't ended.

Both Kaido and Ryuma were simply too strong. Ending a battle like this in a short time was practically impossible.

At the same time, one of the Beast Pirates' three All-Stars, King the Wildfire, realized something was wrong.

Ever since Kaido had gone to Wano, he hadn't come back.

That felt off. Very off.

Were the samurai of Wano really capable of holding his boss up?

King couldn't make sense of it, but after briefly informing Jack the Drought and Queen the Plague, he flew straight toward Wano.

The moment he arrived near the Flower Capital, he saw his boss locked in fierce battle with a green-haired samurai.

What shocked King even more was that Kaido—who should have been practically invincible—was covered in wounds, blood pouring from his body, with several cuts so deep that white bone was visible.

"Boss!!!"

It was the first time King had ever seen Kaido in such a miserable state. Without a second thought, he rushed at Ryuma, intending to join Kaido and bring down this absurdly powerful samurai together.

But just then, a flying slash came in from the distance.

Sensing danger, King immediately stopped.

Whoosh!

The sharp slash skimmed past him so closely it almost brushed his hair.

If he hadn't stopped when he did, that slash might have chopped off one of his wings.

"Who's there?"

King turned sharply. That slash hadn't come from Ryuma—Ryuma was fully occupied by Kaido and had no spare room to attack him. So someone else had made that cut.

And when King saw who it was, he froze for a moment.

"You? Hawk-Eye!!!"

King had never expected the one who attacked him to be one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea—Hawk-Eye Mihawk, the world's greatest swordsman.

What was this supposed to mean?

Was one of the Warlords trying to challenge an Emperor?

King tightened his grip on his weapon.

In his eyes, most of the Warlords were nothing but trash.

But Mihawk wasn't.

The title of world's greatest swordsman alone was enough to make King treat him seriously.

"Why are you blocking me, Hawk-Eye? Are you trying to provoke the Beast Pirates?"

After being cut off, King asked in an icy voice.

Mihawk lifted the black blade Yoru in his hand and carved a line into the ground.

"Cross this line, and you die."

"Don't get cocky, Hawk-Eye!!!"

"Imperial Flaming Wings!!!"

Blazing fire wrapped around King's sword as he slashed without hesitation. The searing flames, hot as magma, turned into a savage fire dragon and tore toward Mihawk.

Mihawk casually swung twice, sending out a cross-shaped slash that cut the incoming fire dragon apart.

And just like that, a second great battle erupted.

This almost sent Morgans into ecstasy.

"Big news! This is huge news!"

First, a mysterious samurai of Wano battling Kaido.

Now, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea—the world's greatest swordsman, Hawk-Eye Mihawk—fighting King the Wildfire, the strongest of the Beast Pirates' three All-Stars.

Without question, this was a day destined to shake the entire world.

And he, Morgans, had the incredible luck to witness two world-shaking battles in a single day.

He was unbelievably lucky.

Once he got back, he was absolutely going to send Nico Robin a huge bonus. She was a living lucky charm.
