Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: Rin's Plan

Chapter 103: Rin's Plan

On the edge of the battlefield, Miguel hid behind the ruined building, watching the two people in the center of the square who were about to begin their final confrontation, his eyes slightly watering.

Miguel recalled the afternoon when he and Rin discussed how to fight Gojo Satoru.

At that time, the training ground was covered in the glow of the setting sun, and the golden light fell on Rin's profile, stretching his shadow long.

Miguel sat beside him, his tone carrying a hint of uncertainty:

"So, what we've settled on is using the Gargoyle for distraction, and you using [Boogie Woogie] for displacement, to try and buy as much time as possible?

But once Gojo Satoru activates his Domain Expansion, won't we instantly lose?"

Rin watched the sun about to set in the sky, the orange-red light reflecting in his eyes. After a few seconds of silence, he gently nodded.

His fingertips unconsciously traced the gravel on the ground, his movements showing a composure that belied his age.

Miguel was still unwilling to accept it and pressed further:

"I still don't understand, is Gojo Satoru's domain really that powerful? Can't your domain fight against his?

It's a Special Grade Domain after all; surely we're not without any chance to fight back?"

Hearing this, a faint smile finally appeared on Rin's calm facenot one of confidence, but of resignation based on clear understanding.

He turned his head, looked at Miguel's anxious eyes, and spoke seriously:

"It's not that his domain is powerful; it's that Gojo Satoru himself is too strong.

Without the interference of the black rope, no one can stop him right now."

He paused, then added:

"If I activate my Domain Expansion against his simultaneously, I would instantly lose. I wouldn't even last a second.

The gap in our strength goes far beyond the domains themselves."

Miguel's heart sank as he looked at Rin's certain expression.

He knew Rin's character; he never exaggerated on crucial issues. Since Rin said this, it meant the path of fighting domain-to-domain was completely unfeasible.

"Then what should we do? We can't just watch him activate his Domain Expansion, can we?"

Rin lowered his head, drew circles on the ground with his finger, and pondered for a long time before slowly raising his head, his eyes showing a new resolve:

"The best method is to prevent him from activating his domain, but we must prepare for the worst-case scenario: if the black rope fails and he still activates his domain..."

He paused, looked at Miguel, and lowered his voice:

"There is one other method that might allow us to maneuver.

That is for me to directly withstand the attack of 'Unlimited Void,' but the duration cannot be long0.2 seconds at most."

"0.2? How is that enough?"

Miguel raised his voice in alarm:

"When you are hit by a domain attack, you can't move at all. What can I possibly do in 0.2 seconds?"

"Leave that to me."

Rin interrupted him, his tone filled with undeniable certainty:

"I will prepare beforehand when the time comes. You just need to do exactly as I say, and that will be enough."

Miguel looked at Rin's serious face and suddenly felt that the youth in front of him was more mature than he had imagined.

He had long anticipated the worst-case scenario and had even prepared to personally endure the domain attack. All Miguel could do was trust him and execute that crucial step.

The memory faded. In the real-life square, Gojo Satoru's domain was already preparing to expand.

Miguel gripped the remaining black rope in his hand, his eyes becoming resolute.

He hadn't forgotten the agreement from that afternoon. Now, it was his turn to act.

Thinking of Rin's instructions on the training ground, Miguel no longer hesitated.

His figure shot toward the center of the square like an arrow released from a bow.

He knew clearly that this was the "only opportunity" Rin had spoken of.

Gojo Satoru's Six Eyes immediately captured his figure but merely glanced over him, paying no attention whatsoever.

In his eyes, Miguel, who only had one final chance to attack, posed no threat.

He raised his hand toward Rin, light blue Cursed Energy gathering in his palm. The prelude to Domain Expansion had begun, and the space in the air started to tremble slightly.

But just as Miguel rushed to a spot a hundred meters away from the two, he suddenly stopped.

At this distance, it was impossible to use the black rope to interrupt Gojo Satoru's hand signs.

The next second, Miguel quickly formed hand signs with both hands. Dark Cursed Energy spread from the ground, and a temporary Curtain suddenly rose, trapping Gojo Satoru and Rin firmly inside, forming an independent, enclosed space.

Gojo Satoru frowned, his eyes filled with confusion.

Raising a Curtain at this moment, trapping Rin and himself togetherwasn't this counterproductive?

He truly couldn't understand Miguel's intention, but he didn't have the time to dwell on it.

The domain preparation had entered its final stage. Once successfully activated, Rin would be completely immobilized.

Meanwhile, Rin inside the Curtain moved when he saw the blue light in Gojo Satoru's palm.

He neither activated his own domain nor used Simple Domain to resist. Instead, he raised his hand to form a hand sign, and black-red Cursed Energy burst open in front of him.

A massive Worm Cursed Spirit suddenly materialized!

The body of this Cursed Spirit resembled a transparent film, glistening with sticky moisture. Figures could vaguely be seen inside its bulging belly.

Those people, soaked in pale yellow stomach acid, had their eyes tightly shut, like unconscious corpses, densely packed inside the Cursed Spirit. The sight alone was chilling.

"Pfft!"

Before Gojo Satoru could react, the Worm Cursed Spirit's belly suddenly burst open!

The people wrapped in stomach acid spilled out like a torrent of water, falling onto the square ground.

The moment they touched the air, they all opened their eyes and let out terrified screams. Some curled up on the ground shaking, while others tried to crawl toward the Curtain walls, looking exactly like ordinary citizens.

Gojo Satoru's movements abruptly froze. His deep blue Rikugan stared intently at Rin, his eyes filled with icy fury.

He finally understood the reason for Rin's delay and the purpose of this Cursed Spirit.

Using ordinary people as shields, betting that he would value their lives and dare not activate his domain.

Miguel outside the Curtain instantly realized the situation, but his heart seized up.

This was a huge gamble, betting on Gojo Satoru's "bottom line."

As long as Gojo Satoru was concerned about these ordinary people, he would pause his domain, allowing them to last until the agreed-upon time ended.

But the next second, Gojo Satoru's cold voice penetrated the Curtain walls, carrying an undeniable finality that shattered everyone's hopes:

"Domain Expansion: [Unlimited Void]."

Light blue light instantly filled the entire space inside the Curtain!

The ordinary people who were still screaming were instantly frozen in place as if a pause button had been pressed, their eyes vacant, having lost all consciousness.

Rin stood in the center of the domain, neither dodging nor resisting, merely looking calmly at Gojo Satoru, as if he had long anticipated this choice.

Light blue Cursed Energy continuously assaulted Rin's brain, and complex information flooded in like a tide, making his vision darken, yet his body remained standing straight.

A faint, almost imperceptible smile even lingered on his lips.

At least, he had bet correctly on one thing.

When Gojo Satoru activates his domain, he unconsciously controls the range, ensuring the ordinary people only lose consciousness, rather than dying.

And that was enough.
