Shawn's POV,
By the time I got back to the apartment, I had already made up my mind. I was leaving. I was going back to where I had been hiding for the past six years, because now I knew for certain that nothing was the same anymore.
Whatever balance I had managed to hold onto was gone.
And if I got caught now, that would be the end of it.
I did not waste time. I started packing immediately, pulling things together without thinking too much about what I was taking or leaving behind. My hands moved fast, almost automatically, even with the noise in my head growing louder.
'For the hundredth time, I'm telling you we cannot go back to hiding, it's not a good idea.' the voice said.
I clenched my jaw.
Well, you can get the hell out of me, so you stay here while I go wherever I want. You're the one ruining my life.
