Yuge Yuge Tumi Amar Sathi – Part 4
The rain poured relentlessly over the silent streets, as if the sky itself was mourning the fate of two souls bound across lifetimes. Arjun stood under the flickering streetlight, his shirt soaked, his fists clenched. His eyes burned—not from the rain, but from the storm inside him.
He had finally remembered everything.
Every lifetime. Every loss. Every moment he had loved her… and lost her.
"Not this time," he whispered to himself. "I won't let her go again."
Miles away, Meera sat in a dimly lit room, her hands trembling. The memories had returned to her too—but unlike Arjun, she wasn't filled with determination.
She was afraid.
Because every time they loved each other… something terrible happened.
A sudden thunderclap shook the sky, and just then, the door burst open.
Three masked men entered.
"Where is the pendant?" one of them growled.
Meera stepped back. "I don't know what you're talking about."
But she did.
The pendant she wore wasn't just a piece of jewelry. It was the symbol of their eternal bond—something that had followed them through centuries. And now, it seemed, others wanted it too.
Before she could react, one of the men lunged at her.
But suddenly—
Bang!
The window shattered as Arjun jumped in, landing between Meera and the attackers.
"Touch her… and you die," he said coldly.
The men laughed. "One against three? Brave… but stupid."
Arjun smirked slightly. "Let's test that."
The fight began instantly.
One attacker rushed forward, throwing a punch, but Arjun dodged it effortlessly and countered with a powerful kick to his chest. The second man pulled out a knife, slashing wildly. Arjun grabbed his wrist, twisted it, and the knife fell to the ground with a metallic clang.
Meera watched in shock.
This wasn't the Arjun she knew.
This Arjun was… different.
Stronger. Fiercer. As if he had lived a thousand battles before.
The third attacker charged from behind, but Meera screamed, "Arjun, behind you!"
In a split second, Arjun turned, blocked the attack, and knocked him out with a precise strike.
Within minutes, all three men lay unconscious on the floor.
Silence filled the room.
Arjun turned to Meera, breathing heavily. "Are you okay?"
Meera didn't answer immediately.
Instead, she walked slowly toward him, her eyes searching his face.
"You remember… don't you?" she asked softly.
Arjun nodded.
"Everything."
Tears welled up in her eyes. "Then you know what happens every time… We fall in love… and we lose each other. Sometimes it's death… sometimes betrayal… sometimes fate itself separates us."
Arjun stepped closer.
"And you also know," he said gently, "that no matter how many times we're separated… we always find our way back."
Meera shook her head. "But at what cost, Arjun? What if loving me means losing everything again?"
Arjun cupped her face, his touch warm and steady.
"Then I'll lose everything," he said without hesitation. "But I'll never lose you willingly."
For a moment, time seemed to stop.
The rain outside softened, as if the world itself was listening.
But their moment was short-lived.
A slow clap echoed from the doorway.
"Well done," a voice said.
Both of them turned.
A tall man in a black coat stood there, his face partially hidden in shadows.
"Who are you?" Arjun demanded.
The man stepped forward, revealing a cold smile.
"You can call me… the one who ends your story."
Meera's heart skipped a beat.
Something about him felt… familiar. Terrifyingly familiar.
"You've been chasing us across lifetimes," she whispered.
The man chuckled. "Not chasing. Controlling."
Arjun's fists tightened. "What do you want?"
"The pendant," the man replied. "And her."
Arjun stepped in front of Meera. "You're not getting either."
The man sighed. "You never learn, do you, Arjun? In every life, you try to protect her. And in every life… you fail."
Rage surged through Arjun.
"Not this time."
The man's smile widened. "We'll see."
Suddenly, he raised his hand—and before Arjun could react, an invisible force threw him across the room.
"Arjun!" Meera screamed.
He hit the wall hard, struggling to get up.
The man walked toward Meera slowly. "You see? No matter how strong he becomes… he can't fight fate."
Meera stepped back, clutching the pendant tightly.
"No," she said, her voice shaking but firm. "You're not fate."
The man stopped.
"For lifetimes, we've been separated," Meera continued. "But we've also fought back. And this time… we won't lose."
The pendant suddenly began to glow.
A soft, golden light filled the room.
Arjun looked up, his eyes widening.
"Meera…"
The man's expression changed for the first time.
"What is this?"
Meera closed her eyes, holding the pendant close to her heart.
"It's our bond," she said. "Stronger than fear. Stronger than death."
The light grew brighter.
Arjun felt a surge of energy rush through him. The pain disappeared. Strength returned.
He stood up slowly.
"This ends now," he said.
The man clenched his jaw. "Impossible…"
Arjun stepped forward, his eyes glowing faintly.
"Not impossible," he said. "I've lost her in every lifetime. I've suffered. I've broken. But every time… I came back stronger."
He stopped just inches away from the man.
"And this time… I'm not alone."
With a powerful strike, Arjun broke through the invisible force and sent the man crashing to the ground.
The room fell silent again.
The man struggled to stand, his expression filled with shock.
"This isn't over," he hissed before disappearing into the darkness.
The glow faded.
Meera collapsed, but Arjun caught her in his arms.
"It's okay," he whispered. "I'm here."
She looked up at him, tears in her eyes.
"Promise me… this time we'll win."
Arjun smiled softly.
"I promise," he said. "No matter how many lifetimes it takes… I'll always be your sathi."
Outside, the rain finally stopped.
And for the first time… the sky began to clear.
