Chapter 1 - The Girl Who Heard the Ocean Calling Her Name

Chapter 1 – The Sound

I heard it again.

At first, I thought it was just the wind. That low, distant sound that creeps through the night and makes everything feel colder than it should.

But it wasn't the wind.

It was… a voice.

Soft.

Faint.

Calling.

I sat up in bed, my heart pounding as I listened.

There it was again.

A whisper.

Not loud. Not clear.

But close enough that it didn't feel like it was coming from outside.

It felt like it was inside my head.

"Come closer…"

I froze.

"No," I whispered, shaking my head.

This wasn't real.

It couldn't be.

But the sound didn't stop.

It pulled.

Not physically—but something deeper.

Like a memory I didn't remember having.

Like something inside me… was responding.

And before I could stop myself—

I got out of bed.

Chapter 2 – The Shore

The beach was empty.

It always was this late.

The waves moved slowly, like they were breathing.

In. Out.

In. Out.

I should've turned back.

I knew that.

But the closer I got to the water…

The louder the voice became.

"Closer…"

My feet touched the cold sand.

Then the water.

I gasped.

It was freezing.

But I didn't move.

Because something was wrong.

The ocean… was too still.

No strong waves.

No wind.

Just silence.

Like it was waiting.

For me.

Chapter 3 – The Shadow Below

I stepped back suddenly.

Something moved.

Under the water.

I stared.

Waiting.

Nothing.

Then—

There it was again.

A shape.

Not a fish.

Too big.

Too slow.

My heart started racing.

"This isn't real," I whispered.

The water shifted.

And then I saw it.

Eyes.

Looking up at me.

From beneath the surface.

Chapter 4 – Not Human

I stumbled back, falling into the sand.

The water moved again.

Closer this time.

And then—

A hand broke the surface.

But it wasn't normal.

Too pale.

Too smooth.

And the fingers…

Longer than they should've been.

My breath caught as it slowly gripped the edge of the shore.

And then it pulled itself up.

I couldn't move.

I couldn't breathe.

Because whatever was climbing out of the ocean…

Was not human.

Chapter 5 – The Voice Returns

It looked at me.

And when it did—

The voice came back.

Louder.

Clearer.

Not from the ocean this time.

From it.

"You came."

I shook my head. "Stay back."

But it didn't move.

It just watched me.

Like it had been waiting.

For a long time.

"You hear it too," it said.

My heart pounded. "Hear what?"

"The ocean."

Silence.

Then it tilted its head slightly.

"You don't remember yet."
