[Multiple Fusion Souls]—this was one of the original Mahito's ultimate moves.
In the original work, Mahito fused human Souls, then used a Binding Vow to maximize their potential for a limited time, reaching the level of a Special Grade Cursed Spirit. When they first appeared, just a few were enough to briefly hold back Todo Aoi.
That battle also revealed Mahito's mastery over Soul alteration; he was the only one in the entire story who could perfectly fuse Souls.
Later, in Yuki Tsukumo's notes, it was explicitly stated that Souls are very special, and no one can completely fuse with another Soul. Itadori Yuji's group therefore believed that even if Ryomen Sukuna completely devoured Fushiguro Megumi, there would still be remnants left behind.
Facts proved Yuki Tsukumo correct. Even with Ryomen Sukuna's talent, he couldn't completely devour Fushiguro Megumi. At the deepest level of his consciousness, Fushiguro Megumi still had a chance to awaken, and Fushiguro Megumi indeed awakened at a critical moment, leading to Ryomen Sukuna's death in battle.
This proved the sanctity of the Soul.
—But Mahito's Idle Transfiguration broke that sanctity.
Even the original Itadori Yuji, after seeing the authoritative explanation in the notes, recognized Mahito's Idle Transfiguration as special. Mahito had the ability to break authority, and he indeed did so.
The current Mahito has gone a step further than the original Mahito and is even more insane. He chose to fuse with himself!
This was an extremely dangerous endeavor. During his experiments, he immediately understood why the original Mahito hadn't chosen to do so: because fusing Souls isn't one side suppressing the other, but a result of both sides acting together. This would make one's own Soul impure and one's will no longer entirely one's own.
This was a new form of suicide!
When the experiment reached this point, the original Mahito chose to give up, but the current Mahito chose to continue, because his path was completely different from the original Mahito's; he had mastered "Six Roots Purity."
This was a new way of using Idle Transfiguration to separate the Soul and body, originally just a skill specially trained to counter those with Soul protection abilities. In later battles where Idle Transfiguration couldn't be used, Six Roots Purity naturally couldn't be used either.
But that was in combat. In terms of experimentation, it was incredibly useful, so useful that it could truly realize Mahito's ambition—
Soul Fusion without side effects!
The current Mahito did indeed fuse Souls with Jogo, but a Soul barrier formed by Idle Transfiguration cleverly separated them: Mahito's and Jogo's Souls together formed an egg-like structure, Mahito's Soul being the yolk, the barrier created by Idle Transfiguration the egg white, and Jogo becoming the eggshell.
This is also why Mahito, despite being able to transform Intelligent Cursed Spirits into Half-Cursed Spirits, never targeted Jogo, Hanami, or Dagon. It's because Cursed Spirits' Souls are tougher, and the physical bodies of Half-Cursed Spirits, which have concrete forms, actually become a hindrance, preventing safe Fusion.
Thus, as long as the Idle Transfiguration Soul remains unchanged, this state can even be maintained for a long time, with no side effects for Mahito.
Jogo, on the other hand, had to completely surrender his body and mind to Mahito, and had to transform into an eggshell at the cost of his body and mind. In a way, this was equivalent to entrusting everything he had to Mahito's keeping.
It goes without saying that since Jogo became an eggshell, his will had disappeared, completely at the mercy of Mahito, the yolk. If Mahito had even one malicious thought, Jogo would immediately vanish into thin air.
This was an extreme product born from extreme trust, and it was—
—Soul Fusion Knight, Earth Vein Roar: Blazing Soil Calamity!
Boom.
The Crimson Lotus Demon God stepped forward, bending his body like a taut bowstring. Despite wearing heavy contemporary armor, he was incredibly agile when he bent to gather strength. As he stepped, he vigorously swung the kirigiri resting on his shoulder, its trajectory forming a massive arc.
He showed no reservation, unleashing a scorching slash with all his might that almost covered the entire Domain Expansion! A massive heatwave accompanied by ultra-high temperatures comparable to a volcanic eruption surged forth. At this temperature, even steel would instantly melt into liquid iron, flowing into the magma, but this melting would be fleeting, as in the next instant, the molten iron would evaporate into bubbles.
Gojo Satoru held one hand up in front, his body turned sideways, and the other hand coiled at his waist. The moment he struck his pose, a massive scorching slash rushed toward him! Because this was a Domain Expansion, all Cursed Techniques were guaranteed to hit. Even his Limitless was completely ineffective; he should have been instantly vaporized by the ultra-high temperature.
But before that, the Cursed Technique he activated in his stance had already begun to take effect.
Secret Art of the Three Great Families, Falling Blossom Emotion!
Falling Blossom Emotion is a secret technique that reacts to any physical attack. It's a method of Cursed Energy manipulation that requires extreme precision. Unlike Simple Domain's neutralizing effect on a Domain Expansion's guaranteed hit, Falling Blossom Emotion is purely Cursed Energy manipulation. Its advantage is that it's not a Barrier Technique and cannot be overridden or stripped away by a Domain Expansion. Its disadvantage, however, is that it requires even more extreme Cursed Energy manipulation.
The original Zenin Naobito once used this move against Dagon's Domain Expansion, but even as the head of the Zenin Family, he couldn't maintain Falling Blossom Emotion for long.
If not for a series of unexpected events later, he would have been killed by the endless army of Shikigami.
But Gojo Satoru didn't have this problem. Due to the Six Eyes, he had no limitations whatsoever in Cursed Technique manipulation. His operational ceiling would only be higher, and endlessly so!
The fire wave from the scorching slash completely engulfed Gojo Satoru, but he remained still. All the fire waves were repelled by the Cursed Energy covering him before they could hit him. Although it was fire, the Cursed Energy on Gojo Satoru seemed to shatter it as if it were solid.
The Limitless can infinitely reduce any attack until it vanishes; it's the ultimate spatial manipulation ability. However, even full-body coverage with the Limitless cannot counter the guaranteed-hit effect of a Domain Expansion; this is the best way to break through the Limitless.
But Gojo Satoru changed this by combining it with Falling Blossom Emotion.
Zen'in Ogi once did this, combining Falling Blossom Emotion with a flame-release Cursed Technique, augmented by an Iaijutsu slash Domain, to create his unique automatic counterattacking Iaijutsu. Now, Gojo Satoru replicated this action in front of Mahito.
This was a move combining Falling Blossom Emotion and the Limitless that was never even shown in the original work. Gojo Satoru once said that he rarely used Falling Blossom Emotion after learning it as a child. This was because he had never used Falling Blossom Emotion since successfully mastering Domain Expansion, let alone the combination of Falling Blossom Emotion and Limitless, for which he had even less opportunity to use.
But at this very moment, he used it flawlessly, without any hesitation. He had become stronger than he was at the end of the original story.
To counter the Lord of Curses, and to free humanity from the possibility of oppression by Intelligent Cursed Spirits, Gojo Satoru had dedicated himself to improving his training over the past week, steadily evolving under Tengen's millennia-old insight and guidance.
And now, it was time for it to bear fruit!
Suddenly, the fire waves parted, and a straight path appeared before Gojo Satoru. The Crimson Lotus Demon God rushed through the fire waves he himself had conjured, appearing before Gojo Satoru. His body blazed with intense flames, their extreme heat distorting the air. In Gojo Satoru's eyes, his body seemed to be composed of fire, burning fiercely from within.
And it was this humanoid flame that stood before him, raising a straight, two-meter-plus greatsword in a tate-giri stance.
Then, he brought it down!
Gojo Satoru was already tall, nearly two meters, but the Mahito clad in crimson contemporary armor stood over three meters! When he raised kirigiri high and brought it down in a slash, its oppressive force was enough to shatter one's Soul.
Once more—Flame Slash!
This was not a long-range Flame Slash, but an explosion at extremely close range, and it wasn't just pure flame, but a tangible physical slash!
Gojo Satoru extended both hands and fiercely clamped down on kirigiri's blade, performing the classic unarmed sword-catching move.
This is also described in the swordsmanship of ordinary human society; it is the Shinin Style's Living Sword Profound Truth, Mutōdori!
The flames entwined around kirigiri suddenly erupted outward, wild currents of fire raging throughout the barrier. Massive fire streams filled the entire space, as if an endless sea of hellfire had reappeared. The extreme heat caused air circulation to almost vanish, and the heat incinerated everything.
kirigiri slowly pressed downward, and Gojo Satoru, maintaining the Mutōdori stance, also slowly pressed his hands downward. His physical abilities couldn't keep up with this immense power; the blade was almost touching his forehead.
In the stalemate, he had a misconception: he wasn't facing a Jujutsu Sorcerer, but a Heavenly Restriction at the pinnacle of physical performance.
Gojo Satoru's Cursed Energy reinforcement was exceptionally good; ever since he was almost killed by Toji Fushiguro in high school, his physical reinforcement could even keep up with Heavenly Restriction.
