GA: Chapter 67 – Livestream Point Rewards; Do Aliens Count as People?
Whitebeard let out a furious roar and moved to give chase—but the thought of Thatch's wound made him pause and check first. Fortunately, nothing vital had been hit.
Then, not waiting for anyone else to react, he immediately set off in pursuit of Blackbeard.
"Blackbeard, he…"
Ace opened his mouth—then closed it again.
The truth was right in front of him. Blackbeard had genuinely tried to kill Thatch over a Devil Fruit. If Old Dad hadn't shown up, Blackbeard would probably be long gone by now.
He and Blackbeard had been close. Blackbeard had been part of his division, after all—he'd always thought he understood him. But now…
In the chat group:
Ordinary Group Owner: "Seriously? Both of them were prepared, and Blackbeard still managed to pull that off?"
Ordinary Group Owner: "Old Dad going soft is one thing—but how was Thatch this careless too?"
Ordinary Group Owner: "Or did Blackbeard's liquor have something in it? Some kind of paralytic?"
Ordinary Group Owner: "No wait, that doesn't fit either—he didn't look like that. Don't tell me he genuinely didn't react in time?"
Uchiha Dance King: "Being betrayed by someone you trusted does that to you. Even though Whitebeard had warned him, Thatch couldn't truly believe it until the last moment."
Uchiha Dance King: "Perhaps it wasn't that his body couldn't react in time—but that his heart didn't want to."
Worst Elf: "In a way, that speaks to how genuine the bond was. It's just a pity that Blackbeard never considered any of them brothers."
Turn Daigu into Soup: "Blackbeard's not actually going to get away, is he?"
Lighthouse Tycoon: "The way this is going, he might. Should've just finished Blackbeard off earlier."
Golden Flash: "Without concrete evidence beforehand, direct action isn't appropriate."
Lighthouse Tycoon: "Just like you—without solid evidence, you couldn't touch Danzo or the Third Hokage either, could you?"
Lighthouse Tycoon: "Shaking head.jpg"
Child of Nature: "He won't escape. Against overwhelming power, running is pointless."
Child of Nature: "And the Old Dad right now isn't that aged, weakened Whitebeard—this is Whitebeard at his peak, where mere anger can set the sea shaking and shatter the air, where his Conqueror's Haki can freeze Blackbeard in place and strip him of all movement."
Child of Nature: "On top of that, the Tremor-Tremor Fruit in the sea is no weaker than on land—if anything, it's more powerful."
Be My Son: "Blackbeard—you're not getting away!"
Whitebeard's Observation Haki locked onto Blackbeard's position, tracking him as he dove deeper into the water.
"Hiding like this—it won't do you any good, Blackbeard!"
BOOM.
A white halo of energy enveloped Whitebeard's right fist. He drove it into the ocean surface without hesitation.
RUMBLE—
CRACK.
Under the ferocious impact, the space directly before him fractured like a spider's web.
The devastating force drove through the surface, and the sea itself erupted—the water in front of him carved open in a deep concave depression that the surrounding ocean couldn't even rush in fast enough to fill.
"AAAAAAHHHH!!!"
Most of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit's force had been swallowed by the sea—but a portion landed squarely on Blackbeard.
A single strike from Whitebeard at full power. Even the shockwaves alone weren't something just anyone could take.
Even Blackbeard—the pain tearing through his body was unbearable.
Blood seeped from multiple points across his body, driven out by the tremor still rippling through him. And yet, he kept swimming—driving himself deeper into the water, because surviving that blow only made him more desperate not to be caught.
"Hmph."
Whitebeard watched this, let out a cold sound, and the Tremor-Tremor Fruit surged again. This time, the force struck Blackbeard with nothing in between.
CRACK.
PFFT.
Even Blackbeard couldn't hold through this one. He felt every bone in his body shatter simultaneously—tried to move, but his body stopped responding entirely. Blood poured out of him, staining the water around him a deep crimson.
He lost consciousness and went limp.
"Marco—bring him back."
"I don't need to tell you what happens next, do I."
Whitebeard let out a slow breath and spoke to Marco, who had been watching at his side.
"I know, Old Dad."
"No one gets to break the iron law of Whitebeard's crew."
"Blackbeard… must die."
"Ding—group member [Be My Son] is the first to use the Livestream function. Rewarding 10,000 points."
As Whitebeard's livestream closed, the unexpected mechanical chime rang in every member's ears.
Umaru: "???"
Umaru: "The first one to livestream gets a reward? Why didn't anyone say so earlier?"
She was from an ordinary world with no mystical power, nothing worth recycling for points—her only income was daily check-ins. And the first livestream rewarded 10,000 points?!
That was ten draws in one go!
Ordinary Group Owner: "???"
Ordinary Group Owner: "I completely forgot! I only thought about how changing your own future might earn points—I never considered that being the first to use the livestream function could too!"
Ordinary Group Owner: "I've read too many chat group novels in my past life and jumbled everything together! I forgot the most important part!"
Child of Nature: "…"
Child of Nature: "I simply didn't think of it."
Uchiha Dance King: "Ten thousand points—nothing remarkable."
Uchiha Dance King: "But Whitebeard at his peak—impressive."
This livestream hadn't shown Whitebeard going all-out—but that Conqueror's Haki that could change weather and paralyze Blackbeard where he stood; that mastery of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit that shook the sea with nothing but anger—it was more than enough to convey how formidable the man was at his peak.
Genuinely interesting. Even as confident as he was in himself, he wasn't certain that he at his peak could beat Whitebeard right now.
Though whether they were truly a match—you'd only know by fighting.
Turn Daigu into Soup: "…"
Turn Daigu into Soup: "The posturing is impressive, Madara."
Lighthouse Tycoon: "Isn't that just the Uchiha clan's nature? Whether it's Madara or Sasuke—they're all the same."
Lighthouse Tycoon: "Though I am curious—peak Whitebeard versus peak Madara. Who wins?"
Lighthouse Tycoon: "Though 'peak' isn't even quite right—Madara also spent time as a Six Paths-level being, even if it got stripped away."
Lighthouse Tycoon: "Without the Six Paths tier, Naruto's power scaling honestly doesn't hold up against One Piece. Setting everything else aside—Aokiji and Akainu fought for seven straight days and nights. Who in Naruto besides Hashirama and Madara could even attempt that?"
Just Like That Meow: "Do Tailed Beasts count, meow?"
Lighthouse Tycoon: "I mean people! PEOPLE! Do you know what a person is?!"
Northern God's Glory: "What about aliens? Do they count as people?"
Lighthouse Tycoon: "Aliens obviously don't count as people! They don't!"
Ordinary Group Owner: "What about something born from an alien and a human?"
Lighthouse Tycoon: "I think I know where you're going with this."
Lighthouse Tycoon: "Forget what I just said."
