Zixin answered honestly.
"The Celestial Base King — that mischievous Hexi — is basically just sending you out to find yourself a man."
Hikari thought of Hexi and gave a light, dismissive wave.
"98% compatibility. You won't find anyone more suited for you in the entire known universe."
The Sacred Knowledge Treasury's calculations didn't make mistakes. At that level of computational power, it was virtually indistinguishable from seeing the future.
Heaven knew how stunned she had been when she'd first seen that number.
She'd never imagined another universe could produce someone that perfectly aligned with Tenshi Zixin.
And honestly — it was a little frustrating. Zixin wasn't even six hundred years old yet and she'd already found someone this compatible. Meanwhile, Hikari had been fighting for over seven thousand years and...
Angels were beings who longed for the arrival of love.
Nothing captivated an angel more completely than love.
Before, she'd at least had the Galaxy Power to dream about. Now she had nothing.

The moment the words landed, Tenshi Zixin's cheeks went red.
Scenes she'd imagined before floated up in her mind — what it might feel like when love finally arrived, how things might unfold with someone like that.
Her face turned a deeper shade of crimson.
"You're already embarrassed and we haven't even started. You really are adorable."
Hikari watched Zixin's flustered expression and couldn't resist poking her cheek.
"Though winning him over isn't going to be simple."
"That person has been developing a tendency toward something divine lately. What was the phrasing he used? [Supreme Detachment]?"
Supreme Detachment wasn't the absence of feeling — not cold indifference or emotionlessness. It was simply absolute rationality.
It meant his emotions would no longer disturb his thinking — no longer compromise the logic of his judgment.
He would still love someone. Still talk with friends. Still experience joy, excitement, sadness, anger. But none of those feelings would influence his thinking, disrupt his plans, or move him to act irrationally without reflection.
Like the way he could lay out arrangements across an entire world — distributing various strength-enhancing items in different proportions across different regions, in calibrated ways. Setting the conditions for an eventual victor in advance, then letting all living things wage their conflicts and accelerate the pace of civilizational evolution.
The casualties that resulted from that — even Huaxia suffering injuries and deaths because of it — would provoke no reaction from him.
Even if people he knew well — former classmates, Huo Yu, Qin Tian — were to die, it would be the same.
For him, this was the most ideal state of mind. Unaffected by emotion. Able to dedicate himself entirely to his plans. Standing outside the world as an observer, in perfect unity of knowledge and action.
Honestly, Tenshi Hikari didn't think there was anything wrong with a mind like that. It was a rare and precious quality — the state of mind most longed for by the leaders of civilizations.
But Tenshi Hikari did not want Bai Xuan to truly become that.
