GA: Chapter 154: Don't Look Down on Me From Above — You Have No Right!

"I only did what any Daoist should do."

Master Nine had a rough idea of who the Holy Lord was referring to. He shook his head.

Compared to Lopez — the hero who led armies against tyranny and the demon Holy Lord to save the world — he fell far short.

The Holy Lord opened his mouth to respond, but his expression changed in an instant. Twin beams of scorching energy erupted from his eyes and collided with a black beam that had come for him. The two forces held for a second, then detonated — dust and debris blasting outward across the ground below.

Without a moment's hesitation, the Holy Lord's hands ignited with terrible fire and launched it skyward toward Mórú.

Mórú, seated on his throne, simply raised a hand — and the flames reversed course as if hitting an invisible wall, returning the way they'd come. The Holy Lord opened his mouth and swallowed both streams of fire without missing a beat.

"The Demon Lord of Fire — not bad."

Mórú looked at the Holy Lord and spoke in a flat, measured tone.

"Don't evaluate me while looking down at me from up there. You have no right."

The Holy Lord let out a cold snort.

Before Mórú could reply, a massive fist came crashing down from the sky. Mórú showed no fear — he clenched his own fist and drove it upward to meet it.

BOOM—!

A tremendous impact. Mórú felt the force transmitted through the point of contact and his expression shifted — he was sent flying, throne and all.

"What extraordinary power."

Mórú shook out his hand, staring at Ultraman Tiga with something between disbelief and recalibration.

By the setting he remembered, Tiga shouldn't have possessed destructive force anywhere near this level.

It was as if everything had been amplified several hundredfold.

Though — considering this Ultraman Tiga was someone who, like himself, had obtained a [Rule-Class Item], strength like this wasn't so surprising.

"I'm growing increasingly interested in the [Rule-Class Item] that brought the three of you to this world."

"Once I've consumed you, everything you have becomes mine."

"Let me see what that [Rule-Class Item] truly is."

The three of them had appeared in this world and clearly knew its Child of Fortune personally — three individuals from different worlds, connected by what had to be an extraordinarily powerful organizational [Rule-Class Item].

A Universal Shop, a Heavenly Mechanism Tower, a chat group, a Ten-Thousand-Worlds Mercenary Organization — any of these was plausible, and whichever one it was represented an immense opportunity.

He had already obtained a system-type [Rule-Class Item] of his own. If he could gain access to a second one on top of that — it was difficult to even imagine where his future might lead.

As for the danger?

He had already analyzed the transmigrator's memories. Every cross-dimensional organization had its own rules when sending members to support other worlds — the strength of those members would never dramatically exceed a certain ceiling relative to the supported world.

These opponents in front of him might be a bit stronger than the memories suggested, but not by much.

Not enough to make him genuinely wary.

And however much stronger these particular opponents became — he still felt no fear of them.

Crack.

In an instant, Mórú's body dissolved from its position and reappeared elsewhere. His hand now held a thick green arm.

The Holy Lord's expression changed. He glanced to his right — his right arm was gone. The power of his Talismans was already working rapidly to restore it, and within moments the vanished arm had regrown.

Meanwhile, Mórú was savoring the Holy Lord's arm bit by bit, consuming it with clear enjoyment.

When the last of it was gone, a flicker of disappointment crossed his face.

"You've already integrated the Talisman power into your own body — so to obtain it, I'd have to consume all of you."

"But before that—"

Mórú extended his right hand. Infinite resentment and blood energy from the surrounding heaven and earth gathered and condensed into an enormous sword.

CRACK.

Before Daigo could react, the greatsword bisected his body at the waist. Violent sparks spread outward from Tiga's midsection in all directions, and with a tremendous explosion, Daigo was forced out of his transformation.

His body was charred black. The Sage Body's regenerative ability worked quickly to repair the damage — but for the moment, he had lost the capacity to fight.

"Your power is impressive — but it is only power."

Mórú appeared beside Daigo without warning, looking down at him from above.

Then he bent down, tore open Daigo's shirt, and removed the Sparklence from within.

"Unfortunately, this is only a tool that lets you become Tiga — it doesn't contain Tiga's actual power. Though consuming you directly amounts to the same thing..."

Crack.

While Mórú was speaking, the Holy Lord used the Rabbit Talisman's extreme speed and snatched the Sparklence away.

"Did you think I was going to stand there and watch you eat him?"

The Holy Lord's voice was ice.

"If I want to eat him — can you stop me?"

The words fell, and Mórú opened his massive jaws. A terrifying devouring force erupted, consuming everything within range — and alongside that pull was an overwhelming suppressive power. For a moment, even the Holy Lord found it difficult to break free.

Crack.

At that moment, a spherical object — surrounded by earth, leaves, and other debris swept up by the devouring force — was thrown into the vortex.

Mórú, in the act of devouring, suddenly sensed something. He stopped abruptly. His expression darkened. He looked toward the other side of the battlefield — and at a black void that had appeared at some point, and the figure now stepping through it.

"My apologies. I was observing a little longer than intended."

Bai Xuan paid no attention to Mórú's gaze and walked to where Daigo and the Holy Lord stood. A single tap of his index finger sent an energy rich with overwhelming vitality pouring into Daigo's body. Within moments, Daigo had fully recovered.

"What did you throw in there?"

The Holy Lord looked at Bai Xuan and asked.

"A Devil Fruit. Mythical Zoan type — the Hito Hito no Mi."

"???"

"I've been observing. His devourment works the way I expected — it converts whatever is consumed into energy and automatically analyzes the abilities within, plundering them for his own use."

"Against a standard Devil Fruit, even the devil residing within it wouldn't have any particular effect on him."

"But what I used was a Devil Fruit purchased from the chat group."

A Devil Fruit bought from the chat group wasn't something that could simply have its devil stripped away through a devourment ability — the only way to eliminate its drawbacks was through the chat group's optimization function, which hadn't become available yet. The enhancement function might also work, but only the chat group's features could truly render its weaknesses void.

Bai Xuan had thought about the implications of Devil Fruits once during a moment of idle contemplation, asked the chat group about it, and received this answer.

The reason for asking had been exactly this sort of scenario.

With ordinary Devil Fruits, a devourment-type ability could strip away the devil and obtain the fruit's power simultaneously — the power obtained would be somewhat reduced, but the weakness to water would also be eliminated in the process. Chat-group Devil Fruits, however, didn't follow that rule.

Only the chat group's own functions could eliminate that weakness.
