Chapter 3 - Did You Encounter Aliens?

Sitting back down and looking at the content on the computer, Tyler turned to look at him with an unbelievable gaze and said, "You wrote these things? I don't believe it. We've lived together for four years, how come I didn't know you had this ability? Did you hit your head and become a genius or something?!"

"Of course I wrote them." Nick looked at Tyler a bit guiltily, then used the excuse he had prepared earlier: "You know I'm interested in military and technology, right? I had some ideas before."

"It's just that I put it aside because of other things. This time, since I had nothing to do, I just brought it out of my head. What do you think?"

After hearing him out, Tyler stared at him for a while, then shook his head: "Ideas? Bro all you did was play War Thunder and complain about the tanks! I still don't believe it. Forget it if you won't say."

"Just looking at this technical data, its value is very high."

"This is currently a hot research field worldwide. As long as we can produce something, it will definitely cause a big stir."

Hearing Tyler's words, Nick smiled and said, "Then give me some advice."

"What advice?"

Tyler asked, then suddenly thought of something, his eyes lighting up with excitement: "You mean starting a business with these things?"

Nick nodded and smiled: "What else did you think? In another ten days or so, we'll be kicked out of the school. Are you content with going to work as a 996 corporate slave for someone else?"

"Damn! You're right, my body won't handle that, I'll become as skinny as you" Tyler shuddered.

After thinking for a while, he said to Nick seriously, "Starting a business is actually very simple. Registering a company or setting up a studio can be done in minutes."

"But after it's established, how to develop and how to make a profit—these are difficult problems all entrepreneurs face. And you should have heard that the success rate for fresh graduates starting a business is less than five percent.

So I hope you can think it through clearly and don't make an impulsive decision."

"If this technical data is real, then I think you could completely sell it. At least in my view, the money from selling this would be enough to buy a decent beach house in this city."

"You should know that for us who just graduated, owning a house in this city means you'll have to struggle many years less than most poor guys like us."

"Besides, this technology might even sell for a higher price. You'd be set for life."

Looking at Tyler's serious expression, Nick smiled and said, "I've thought about what you said, but the problem is, after careful consideration, I still decided to start a business."

"Because besides this technology, I feel I can dig out other things from my head."

"You mean you have other technologies like this in your head?" Tyler's eyes widened, showing an unbelievable expression, his mouth open wide enough to fit a fist.

Although a bit hesitant, Nick still nodded: "There are still some things in my head."

"Holy crap!"

Tyler's eyes were as wide as saucers, looking at him as if looking at a monster: "Who are you, and what did you do with Barnie?"

Still a bit worried, Nick couldn't help but roll his eyes at Tyler's words: "Get lost."

"Hehe." Tyler didn't care, instead leaning in with a sly expression: "Did you encounter aliens? Xenos? Did they seduce you? Was it consensual?"

Nick: "..."

Although he didn't know if his fortuitous encounter had anything to do with aliens, for some reason, Nick was startled by Tyler's words. But he quickly calmed down and feigned composure: "Screw you, I'm talking business."

"Why are you getting anxious? Isn't that how it's written in sci-fi books? After the protagonist meets Aliens, the aliens give him some dough to keep the secret. Honestly, did you meet aliens, and they gave you dough?" Tyler stared at him with an interrogating look.

Nick's forehead was covered in black lines. He said crossly, "You've read too many novels. Just give me a straight answer: are you in or not?"

"I'm in, definitely in. I'm sticking with you for the rest of my life. Someone has to look after your white ass."

Tyler hugged him and said flatteringly, "Let me tell you, when I have money, I'm going to visit every club in Florida—no, in the whole country. I'll find the prettiest ones—no, the ones with the best skills."

"With your weight, aren't you afraid of crushing those delicate flowers?" Nick said, his head covered in black lines.

Tyler rolled his eyes: "What do you know? As long as you have money, even a pig can... Bah, bah, why did I use that analogy?"

Hahaha... Starting a business is easy to say, but hard to actually do. After checking relevant policies and information, the two's burning hearts cooled down by half.

Tyler tossed him a cigarette, then lit one himself: "Although the country encourages college students to start businesses and has relevant preferential policies, it's still quite troublesome to implement."

"That's nothing. The most important thing for us right now is the initial startup capital. Neither of us has much money. The only way is to apply for a startup loan, but given our current situation, it probably won't be easy to get."

"I have about seventy or eighty thousand left. Let's use that as startup capital first," Nick said, blowing a smoke ring.

Tyler looked at him with surprise, then cursed with a laugh: "Screw you! Usually, when I ask you to pay the bill, you say you have no money. Now the truth is out!"

Hehe, Nick smiled and said, "This is pocket money given by relatives over the years. I haven't really touched it. It's my life savings man."

If it weren't for starting a business, Nick wouldn't have used this money. Since his mother passed away, his uncle and grandmother would often give him pocket money, fearing he would be mistreated.

But in fact, his stepmother treated him well, so the money had been sitting in his card, untouched.

Now that he was starting a business, he had to take it out.

Tyler nodded and didn't ask further, but gritted his teeth and said, "Since it's a business, I can't just contribute nothing. I'll talk to my family and scrape together another hundred thousand."

"You don't need to take this risk with me. Just having the heart to help is enough," Nick said, moved but still trying to persuade him otherwise.

"Nonsense! If we're starting a business together, we'll face everything together. If you want to be crazy, I'll be crazy with you once bro."

Tyler glared at him, then waved his hand: "Let's not talk about that for now. Let's talk business."

"About the startup loan, although there's not much hope, we still have to try. Also, we need to fight for those preferential policies for college student entrepreneurs."

"I'll handle that. Your most important task now is to summarize and organize the technology in this data and come up with a complete technical proposal."

"You have to understand, once we start, there's no turning back. This technical data you have is our only reliance."

"Don't worry, I know the stakes," Nick said seriously.

Hearing Nick's words, Tyler couldn't help but shake his head: "Right now, the money we have is only enough for startup capital. If we want to achieve results, we'll probably have to find a way to raise more funds."

Nick nodded, then said to him, "Actually, I've thought about that too. I have a plan. If we succeed, venture capitalists or banks will come knocking on our door themselves."

"What is it?" Tyler's eyes lit up.

Nick didn't speak but typed a few words on the keyboard and opened a webpage.

"2026 International Internet Technology Expo?"
