The violent thunder, capable of destroying everything, fell upon the deep purple sphere and was effortlessly swallowed like a drop of water merging into the ocean.
There was no deafening explosion, no scattering shockwaves, not even the faintest sound.
The thunder that could have annihilated a stretch of land dissipated silently.
Seeing this, Enel, hidden within the clouds, had his calm and indifferent expression shattered by the sight.
Since consuming the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, he had never tasted defeat.
His lightning was divine punishment that none could withstand.
His Mantra covered the entirety of Skypiea.
His authority was a faith that none dared to blaspheme.
Yet today, his full-powered strike, unleashed in fury, had been so casually blocked by a Blue Sea People who had intruded upon Skypiea.
What was even more unbelievable to him was that, despite deliberately concealing his presence and hiding within the dark clouds, this unfamiliar Blue Sea People could still accurately pinpoint his location.
This level of perception even far surpassed his Mantra!
Before Enel could recover from his shock, a figure suddenly appeared before him—it was Ivan.
Ivan raised his gaze, his eyes falling upon Enel, taking in the appearance of this god of Skypiea.
He was tall and slender, clad in a white divine robe, with large ears and an arrogant, cold expression.
Behind him were several drums, with faint electric currents visible on them. Ivan guessed these drums were used to amplify voltage.
Seeing Ivan suddenly appear before him, the lightning around Enel crackled violently as he stared intently at the man and demanded:
"Who are you, to be able to block the attack of a god?!"
Ivan tilted his head slightly, his expression filled with disdain as he mocked:
"Who are you, to dare call yourself a god?"
"You're seeking death!" Enel was utterly enraged by the contempt in Ivan's words, roaring furiously, "I am the god who rules Skypiea and commands lightning, the sole master of this sky!"
"God?" Ivan sneered:
"There has never been such a thing as a god in this world. Even those self-proclaimed false gods on the ground will die when killed. And you, you're even weaker than them."
"Outrageous!" Enel was furious to the extreme:
"How dare you compare those ground-dwelling trash to me? I command lightning, I am the true god!"
Ivan shook his head, his tone growing even more disdainful, each word cutting deep:
"With your meager abilities, you dare call yourself a god? Do you dare oppose the World Government? Do you dare challenge the Celestial Dragons?
You only know a bit of Observation Haki, what you Skypieans call Mantra. You don't even know Armament Haki, let alone Conqueror's Haki.
You can't even gather the Three-Colored Haki, yet you talk of being a god?
With your level, you might barely defeat an ordinary Marine Vice Admiral by relying on the advantages of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
But if you faced multiple Vice Admirals, or a Navy Admiral, you'd be effortlessly crushed, without even the right to resist!"
"You dare insult me!" Enel, blinded by rage, gathered the lightning around him into a beam of thunder, carrying world-destroying force as he lunged fiercely toward Ivan. "I'll turn you to ashes, make you know the wrath of a god!"
Ivan's expression remained unchanged as he raised his hand and lightly blocked. A deep purple barrier formed before him, effortlessly stopping Enel's attack.
Before Enel could react, Ivan instantly teleported before him, reaching out to grip his neck and shouting:
"Fist Bone: Seafloor Drop!"
Conqueror's Haki lightning surged within Ivan's palm, enhancing his attack. Then, he violently hurled Enel down toward the forest below.
Boom!
A deafening roar erupted!
Enel's body plummeted at high speed into the forest below.
Immediately after, towering trees were instantly shattered by the shockwave from his impact, and the entire forest was engulfed in billowing dust.
When the smoke cleared, a massive crater a hundred meters wide appeared at the center of the forest, starkly conspicuous.
This strike wasn't enough to completely defeat Enel. Though he spat blood, he remained conscious, struggling to rise and retaliate.
However, before Enel could struggle to his feet, Ivan appeared before him once more, looking down at him with indifference and saying coldly:
"This sea is far more terrifying than you imagine. Those who could easily defeat you are as numerous as the hairs on an ox.
With your meager abilities, you dream of becoming a god?
You're nothing but a frog in a well, confined to this tiny Skypiea. If you were to venture onto the true sea, you wouldn't survive three years."
"No, impossible!" Enel's face twisted with ferocity as he clenched his fists tightly. "I am a god, I am invincible!"
As he spoke, he abruptly activated his Rumble-Rumble Fruit ability, fully transforming into lightning.
Now turned into a mass of thunder, he regained a bit of confidence and roared at Ivan:
"Come on, attack me all you want! I'll show you the true power of a god!"
A flicker of cold laughter passed through Ivan's eyes; he had already seen through his trick.
He raised his hand, gathering Armament Haki. His fist shimmered with a dark aura as he mercilessly struck toward Enel.
Galaxy Impact!
Thud!
Enel was struck by the punch, his Elementalization forcibly shattered, and his form instantly materialized.
He spat a mouthful of blood, his body crashing heavily at the edge of the deep crater, convulsing all over, already severely injured.
Only now did he finally realize that things were different from what he had imagined.
Even his most powerful ability, Elementalization, which could nullify all attacks, had been effortlessly broken!
His face filled with disbelief as he stared fixedly at Ivan, his voice trembling:
"No, this can't be. How could you attack a god? Gods are invincible, untouchable!"
"Ignorant." Ivan slowly approached Enel:
"The Elementalization of a Logia Devil Fruit is not invincible.
As long as you wrap your attacks with Armament Haki, you can directly strike the user's true body.
You don't even know this most basic common sense, yet you dare call yourself a god?
Ignorant ant, leap out of the well and see the world!"
In the next moment, a deep purple sphere formed at Ivan's fingertip, ready to strike Enel at any moment.
"No, I refuse to accept this!"
Sensing the threat of death, Enel screamed hysterically, mustering the last of his strength to channel all his lightning, unleashing his strongest techniques in succession:
"Thunder Welcome!"
"Ten Thousand Thunderbolts!"
"Divine Judgment!"
Countless bolts of lightning converged, forming massive thunder spheres and pillars of lightning that densely rained down upon Ivan, seeking to incinerate him.
Yet amidst the myriad thunderbolts, Ivan remained composed.
He flicked his finger slightly, and Hollow Technique: Purple instantly took shape, transforming into a deep purple barrier that effortlessly swallowed all the thunder.
Moments later, Enel's attacks were exhausted. He was drained of strength, and the lightning around him gradually dimmed.
Looking at Ivan, who remained completely unscathed, he felt extreme fear for the first time in his heart.
He finally realized that he and the man before him were not on the same level at all.
