Chapter 42 - CHAPTER 38

Jay POV

We walked into the tennis arena and the sound of bouncing balls, cheering, and sneakers on court filled the air.

Section E was already there.

So were my brothers.

I exhaled quietly and scanned the area while Kath went to change. A few minutes later, he came back in his tennis outfit, hair slightly messy like he ran his hands through it too many times.

He sat beside me like it was the most natural thing in the world.

Across the court, I spotted Ella and Aries sitting together.

And between them… a small child.

My lips twitched slightly.

I already knew who she was.

The announcer's voice echoed through the arena, calling out names for the matches.

Kath immediately started preparing. He stood up, rolling his shoulders, checking his racket strings, bouncing lightly on his feet.

I watched him carefully like a coach would.

"Shoes?" I asked.

"Done," he replied instantly.

"Racket?"

"Done."

I crossed my arms. "Mothers love?"

He froze for half a second.

"…No," he said.

Then leaned down and kissed my cheek quickly.

I blinked at him.

He grinned. "Done."

I shook my head slightly, trying not to smile. "You are ready."

Before he ran off, I pulled him back and kissed his forehead gently.

"Now you are really ready," I said softly.

He smiled like that was all he needed and ran toward the court.

Keifer POV

I don't know why my eyes went to Jay first.

She was sitting near the edge of the seating area, completely focused on a boy in tennis attire. She was speaking to him calmly, checking his posture like she knew exactly what she was doing.

Then I saw it.

The boy leaned in and kissed her cheek.

She didn't even flinch.

Instead, she smiled and kissed his forehead like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Then he ran off toward the court.

I blinked.

Around me, Astra looked genuinely amused like she had just seen something entertaining for the tenth time today.

Announcer:"Next match: Mila Kathleen Mariano."

The boy near Jay stood up immediately.

And Jay's expression changed—soft, proud, excited.

"Go on, Kath," she said.

He nodded and ran onto the court.

The match started.

And honestly… the boy played well.

Really well.

Not just decent—focused, controlled, sharp.

Even Astra leaned forward slightly like she was impressed. That was rare.

When the match ended, he didn't even celebrate properly.

He ran straight to Jay.

"Mom!"

Jay stood up instantly.

"Kath," she said warmly.

They hugged tightly for a moment before sitting back down like nothing happened.

And that's when it hit me.

There were already four kids around her calling her "mom."

Four.

Jay POV

The match ended and we started walking out of the arena.

Before I could even step further, voices called from behind me.

"Jay."

"Jay."

"Jay."

"Jay."

I stopped.

Familiar voices.

My heart tightened a little.

I turned.

"Kuya…"

I walked straight into Angelo first, hugging him tightly. He held me like he hadn't seen me in years.

Then Aries joined in.

Then Percy.

And finally, all of them stepped back.

But the silence didn't last.

The kids were now looking at them curiously.

One of them tilted their head.

"Mama… what happened?"

kyle nodded quickly. "Yeah, mama."

Kai spoke next, confused. "Mama… who are they?"

Kath added softly, "Yes, mama."

I looked at them, then smiled gently despite everything.

"Babies… do you want to meet your other titos?"

Their eyes widened instantly.

"Yes, mama!" they said in unison.

I couldn't help but laugh a little.

I turned toward Angelo first.

"He is your tito Angelo. The oldest one."

Angelo immediately knelt down to their level without hesitation.

Then I looked at Aries.

"He is your tito Ari… full name Aries."

Aries gave a soft smile. "Ari is fine… only for you, Jay."

I ignored the comment but my ears slightly warmed.

Then Percy.

"He is your tito Percy."

Percy also crouched down, smiling gently as the kids immediately surrounded him.

I looked back at the children again.

"And these are your niece and nephews ."

I pointed one by one.

"Kai… the oldest."

Kai stepped forward confidently.

"Kyle… second."

Kyle followed.

"Kath… third."

Kath waved proudly.

"And Kaya… youngest, and only girl."

Kaya stepped forward shyly but smiled.

"They are quadruplets," I finished softly.

For a second, the whole group just stared.

Even Section E.

Even my brothers.

Even the air felt frozen.

Then Angelo, Aries, and Percy all slowly looked at each other before kneeling fully, accepting the kids without another word.

The children immediately hugged them.

It was instant.

Natural.

Like they had been waiting for this moment without knowing it.

The girls around us came closer too and hugged me suddenly.

I exhaled softly, overwhelmed but grounded.

Then—

"Jay."

Ci-n's voice broke through the moment.

I turned slightly.

"Ci… we'll talk at the café in front of the auditorium," I said quickly.

My voice was calm, but my hand tightened slightly on the kids.

Angelo stood up, his tone sharper now. "Jay… who is the father of the kids?"

Silence.

The air changed instantly.

I looked down for a second.

Then back up at him.

"Kuya," I said softly, "we'll talk in the café. Please."

My eyes shifted to Mica.

"And Mica needs to sit and eat something."

That softened the moment slightly.

I didn't wait for another question.

I took my kids' hands and started walking out.

Behind me… I could feel everyone following.

No one spoke.

But I knew.

Everything was about to come out.
