Chapter 1 - The Beginning

The world was vast, ancient, and filled with countless races.

In the skies, dragons ruled with overwhelming power, their wings strong enough to shake storms. Deep in the oceans, giant creatures moved silently. Forests belonged to elves, who lived in harmony with nature and wielded powerful magic. Beneath the mountains, dwarves forged unbreakable weapons, their strength unmatched in battle.

There were also beastkin, born with claws and fangs, and demons, beings feared for their destructive power. Each race had its own strength, its own place in the world.

Except one.Humans.

They had no natural magic.

No superior strength.

No long lifespan.

No special abilities.

Compared to the other races, humans were fragile and ordinary.

The weakest.

While other races conquered lands and fought powerful battles, humans built walls, hid behind kingdoms, and struggled just to survive. They feared the forests, avoided the mountains, and never dared to challenge the stronger races.

To the world, humans were insignificant.

A race that existed… but did not belong at the top.

And so, in a world filled with power and legends—

Humans remained at the very bottom.

But even though the world called them weak, humans answered with a will that would not break—for while other races were born with power, strength, magic, and blessings, humans were born with nothing but a will strong enough to rise, to struggle, and to defy fate itself.

And so, despite their limitations, humans refused to remain at the mercy of a world that deemed them inferior, instead choosing to forge their own path through relentless effort and unyielding will. In time, they uncovered and cultivated mana—an energy not gifted by the heavens nor inherited by blood, but born from deep within their very existence. Unlike the natural powers possessed by other races, mana was shaped, refined, and strengthened through discipline, struggle, and understanding. Through it, humans learned to enhance their fragile bodies beyond their natural limits and to weave spells that echoed the magic of greater beings. Though their power was neither pure nor effortless, it was their own creation—hard-earned and ever-evolving—granting them, at last, a means to rise, to resist, and to stand among the other races in a world that once denied their place.

At the edge of a quiet village, a boy stood alone beneath the fading light of the evening sky, his hands trembling as faint strands of mana flickered around his fingers

"Hm… messed up again," Kael said, shaking his head slightly. "Practice alone isn't enough… I need something more....sigh..well that all for today , I need to get home before sun come down".With that, Kael turned and began jogging down the narrow path toward his home, his pace quickening as the last light of the sun faded beyond the horizon.

"Mom I'm back..."Kael called out as he entered. A woman appeared from the kitchen, her expression soft and welcoming—it was his mother, Lina, whose gentle nature stood in contrast to the harsh world outside."You're back late again, Kael," she said, her voice gentle but slightly concerned. "You must be tired—come and rest for a bit."

"What for dinner mom?" As Kael walk toward the kitchen. "Just something simple tonight," she said with a small smile. "Soup and bread—it's not much, but it'll warm you up."

"Well everything mom make is my favorite hehe" a sincere smile appear for his mother. With a soft smile shared between them, Kael and his mother sat down together and began their simple meal, the quiet warmth of their home filling the space as they ate side by side.

"Mom… I promise, I'll change our lives. I'll become strong enough so we can live better than this."

Kael said it with quiet determination, his eyes steady as he looked at her, the weight of his words far greater than his age.

"You really are just like your father…" Lina said softly, a faint smile on her lips. "If that's your path, then I won't stop you… just don't forget, you already mean everything to me."

Her voice was gentle, but firm, as she looked at him with a quiet pride mixed with concern.

After a few lingering moments of quiet, they finished their meal, and as the night slowly settled over their modest home, the two drifted into their own routines—Kael retreating to the stillness of his room, lost in thought, while Lina remained behind, tending to the small, familiar tasks that quietly held their simple life together.
