Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: A New Beginning in Gokuldham

The night was calm, yet filled with tension.

Inside a well-known hospital in Mumbai, bright white lights illuminated the corridors. Doctors and nurses moved quickly from one room to another, their faces serious but focused.

Outside the labour room, the entire Gokuldham Society had gathered.

Jethalal Gada was pacing back and forth nervously, wiping the sweat from his forehead again and again. His usually cheerful face was now full of worry.

"Hey Bhagwan… sab theek ho na…" he muttered under his breath.

Beside him, Champaklal Gada sat on a bench, holding his walking stick tightly. His eyes were closed, silently praying.

"Hey Prabhu… daya aur baccha dono swasth rahe…" he whispered.

A few steps away, the rest of the society members stood together.

Bhide was trying to stay calm, adjusting his spectacles repeatedly.

"Mujhe lagta hai sab theek hoga… doctors toh kaafi experienced lag rahe hai…"

Madhavi nodded, though worry was visible on her face.

"Haan, par phir bhi… tension toh hoti hi hai…"

Iyer and Babita stood quietly. Babita's expression was soft and concerned.

"Everything will be fine," she said gently. "Daya is strong."

Sodhi, trying to lighten the mood, said loudly,

"Oye! Tension lene ka nahi! Gokuldham mein good news aane wali hai!"

But even he couldn't hide the slight

nervousness in his voice.

Roshan smiled faintly at him.

"Haanji, par thoda shaant bhi rehna chahiye…"

Meanwhile, a small group of children sat together on the floor nearby.

It was the Tapu Sena.

Little Tapu, just 3 years old, sat quietly—something very unusual for him. His big eyes were fixed on the labour room door.

"Dadi… mummy ko dard ho raha hai?" he asked softly.

Champaklal slowly opened his eyes and looked at Tapu.

"Haan beta… par thodi der mein sab theek ho jayega. Tumhe ek chhota bhai ya behen milne wala hai."

Tapu's eyes widened slightly.

"Sach mein?"

Champaklal smiled gently and nodded.

Nearby, Goli, Sonu, and the other kids didn't fully understand everything, but they could feel the seriousness in the air. For once, the usually noisy group was silent.

Time passed slowly.

Every second felt like a minute.

Jethalal stopped pacing and stood still, staring at the door. His hands were trembling slightly.

Inside that room… his wife was in pain.

Inside that room… his life was about to change forever.

Suddenly—

A faint sound echoed from inside.

Then another.

And then…

A loud, clear cry of a newborn baby filled the air.

For a moment, everything froze.

Everyone looked at the door.

Jethalal's eyes widened. His heart started beating faster.

"Baccha…?" he whispered.

The door slowly opened.

A nurse stepped out, a small smile on her face.

"

Congratulations," she said. "It's a boy."

For a second, Jethalal couldn't react.

"A… a boy?" he stammered.

The nurse nodded.

"Mother and baby both are healthy."

That was it.

The tension broke instantly.

"AYYYEEE!" Sodhi shouted in excitement.

"PUTTAR HOGAYA!"

Everyone started smiling, laughing, congratulating each other.

Champaklal's eyes filled with tears.

"Dhanyavaad Prabhu…" he said softly.

Jethalal stood still for a moment… and then slowly smiled. A deep, emotional smile.

He looked up, as if thanking God silently.

"Daya… tu theek hai…" he whispered.

Tapu stood up quickly and ran to Jethalal.

"Papa! Mujhe baby dekhna hai!"

Jethalal bent down, picking him up.

"Haan beta… tumhara chhota bhai aaya hai…"

"Bhai…" Tapu repeated, his face lighting up with innocent happiness.

The nurse gestured politely.

"One person can come inside."

Jethalal looked at everyone, then at his father.

"Bapuji…"

Champaklal nodded.

"Ja, Jetha. Pehle tu ja."

Taking a deep breath, Jethalal walked toward the door.

Each step felt heavy… yet filled with excitement.

He slowly entered the room.

Inside, the atmosphere was calm.

Daya lay on the bed, tired but smiling softly.

In her arms… was a tiny baby, wrapped in a white cloth.

Jethalal stepped closer, his eyes fixed on the child.

For the first time…

He saw his son.

So small… so fragile… yet so full of life.

Daya looked at him and smiled weakly.

"Jethaji…"

Jethalal's voice trembled.

"Daya… tu theek hai na?"

Daya nodded.

"Haan… aur dekhiye… hamara beta…"

Jethalal slowly reached out, his hands slightly shaking.

He looked at the baby's tiny face.

The baby's eyes were closed, his small fingers curled.

At that moment…

Jethalal felt something he had never felt before.

A deep, powerful emotion.

Love.

Responsibility.

Happiness.

All at once.

He smiled softly.

"Hamara beta…"

Daya looked at him.

"Naam kya rakhenge?"

Jethalal paused for a moment, thinking.

Then he looked at the baby again

.

"We'll think… par ek baat pakki hai…"

He gently touched the baby's hand.

"Yeh hamari zindagi badal dega…"

Outside, the celebration continued.

Inside…

A new story had just begun.
