Hi my name is ???. Oh sorry it seems that your all unable to hear my name, well for now you can call me narrator.
The name of the world we will be diving to will be dubbed Aldreath. It is a large continent that encompasses a series of different species like you typical orcs, elves, humans and what have you. Oh and also unique species that the author of my world decided to create.
Spoilers: I may or may not be a combination of multiple species. (This didn't come from me by the way).
Anyways, this world is going to be your typical fantasy world with monsters, magic, fiction and alternate worlds.
I will now explain the most common of common knowledge of this world. Now if you want to be powerful you need to acquire cores. What are cores? Well they are moster drops but not like in your video games where they get pixilated and leave behind item drops. To acquire this core you have to disect the monster to find its core or cores.
Now these cores have ranks. They are ranked by colours. The rank goes like this Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Orange and then Purple. But it doesn't stop here, in this world we will make use of the typical ranking of power level from F-A and S, SS and SSS. Now whether or not a cor is a high or a low rank depends on the appraisal but the purple is a lower B rank at best.
There will be a bunch of jobs that some of these characters claim to be real jobs but that's not important, what is important is the rank of mastery in that field. This masteries will be novice, advance, inept, master and grandmaster.
The master are bound to have core that range from F-SSS rank in power and a monster can possess from just a single core to as much as 10 cores (each of the same rank or of varying ranks ).
Now this is the main part. You know in video games where moster drop loot when they die, we'll in this world after you kill a monster and acquire a core that core will turn out to be one of a variety of thing. The major three occurrences are that it becomes and ability core, artifact or a beast soul.
Ability core: Just as it's name suggests it contains an ability. As much as I would like to I rather not go into more details.
Artifact: Now the core won't just appear to become an artifact. If it does then that artifact is most likely a shit artifact. To get a proper artifact you would have to refine the core for it to become a proper artifact.
Beast soul: This is just the a remnant of the monsters power that can materialise it original appearance and exact it's power but this is not a common occurrence so you might not see it alot.
