Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 — Special Rewards from the System

Summer, 2006.

Cicadas screamed endlessly in the blazing heat.

Their noise rolled through the streets like waves of sound.

The asphalt radiated heat after baking beneath the sun all day, and the air carried that faint burnt smell unique to midsummer in Tokyo.

On a busy commercial street—

Two high-school students waited near a vending machine.

"Ugh… it's too hot."

A boy squatted beside the vending machine, pressing a can of ice-cold soda against his face while groaning dramatically.

His posture was utterly unrefined.

White hair.

Sunglasses.

A face that would look perfect in a fashion magazine—if he wasn't acting like a lazy stray cat.

This was Satoru Gojo.

Back then—

He was still a student at Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical College.

"Gojo."

"Mind your image."

Standing beside him was another teenager.

Long hair tied into a bun.

Loose uniform trousers.

Sharp eyes with a calm, composed expression.

Suguru Geto.

"We're on a mission right now."

Gojo rolled his eyes.

"Relax, Geto."

"The Star Plasma Vessel hasn't shown up yet anyway."

"We're just standing here melting."

He tugged at his uniform collar in irritation.

"Who designed these stupid long-sleeved uniforms?"

"Were they trying to kill students with heatstroke?"

Geto sighed.

"Patience is part of training."

"And protecting the weak is the responsibility of the strong."

"Even under difficult conditions, a sorcerer must maintain composure."

Gojo groaned loudly.

"There you go again with that speech."

"I'm already tired of hearing it."

"If the weak can't even handle a little discomfort—"

BOOM.

A flash of white light erupted in the empty air nearby.

Both students reacted instantly.

Gojo straightened.

Behind his sunglasses, the Six Eyes activated immediately.

Geto summoned a large cursed spirit to his side as a defensive shield.

But something felt strange.

There was no cursed-energy signature.

No disturbance in the barrier.

It was as if space itself had simply cracked open.

"Hmm?"

Gojo raised an eyebrow.

"An enemy attack?"

Finally—

Something interesting.

The white light faded.

A figure fell from the sky.

Yet instead of crashing—

The air around him suddenly stabilized.

As if invisible hands supported him.

He landed lightly.

A boy.

Black hair.

Red eyes.

Wearing a modified modern jujutsu-high uniform that looked slightly different from theirs.

His expression looked sleepy.

Yagami Sora.

He rubbed his eyes lazily.

Then looked at the two young sorcerers standing before him.

The famous duo.

But much younger.

A grin slowly appeared.

"Yo."

"Long time no see."

He paused.

"Actually… this is our first meeting."

Gojo frowned.

"Who are you?"

"And what was that entrance?"

"You just popped out of thin air."

Sora pointed at himself.

"Me?"

His smile widened.

"I'm here to teach you two a lesson."

Then he corrected himself.

"Oh wait."

"More accurately…"

"I'm here to be your babysitter."

"And maybe rewrite this completely awful summer."

A vein appeared on Gojo's forehead.

"Babysitter?"

"You've got a lot of nerve."

He cracked his knuckles.

"Doesn't matter where you came from."

"If you talk like that…"

Gojo vanished.

In less than a blink—

He appeared directly in front of Sora.

A punch flew forward.

No cursed technique.

Just raw physical strength.

But coming from Gojo—

It was still powerful enough to shatter stone.

"Too slow."

Sora didn't even move.

BANG.

Gojo's fist stopped.

Exactly three centimeters from Sora's face.

Not blocked.

Not grabbed.

It simply bounced back.

A powerful recoil shot up Gojo's arm.

His entire arm went numb.

"What?!"

Gojo's eyes widened.

This sensation felt familiar—

Yet different.

His Limitless created infinite distance.

But this wasn't distance.

This was forcefully reversing motion.

Sora stood calmly with his hands in his pockets.

"Vector Manipulation: Reflection."

He tilted his head slightly.

"It's not polite to greet your senior with a punch, Satoru."

"Especially someone you just met."

Then he raised a finger.

And wagged it lazily.

"You're strong."

"But right now…"

"Still not strong enough."

Instead of getting angry—

Gojo burst into laughter.

"HAHA!"

"This is great!"

The excitement in his voice was unmistakable.

Finally—

Someone interesting.

He rolled his shoulders.

"Geto!"

"Stay out of this!"

"This guy is mine!"

Geto shrugged calmly.

"I wasn't planning to interfere."

But his gaze remained fixed on Sora.

Careful.

Calculating.

"This person…"

Geto murmured quietly.

"…is strong."

The composure.

The effortless control.

The complete confidence.

It created a pressure unlike anything he had felt before.

Who exactly was this mysterious boy—

Who had suddenly appeared in the summer of 2006?
