I entered into the school compound and into the principal office,she offered me a smile,yeah she did offer me one .
I sat at the chair and my aunt did all that was needed for me to enrol and finally l was given a class .
My age is quite my class as you will expect,am in senior secondary one .l carried my backpack to my newly founded class room.
I moved into the class l chose the seat at the back and then sat down,l started bringing out my books .The boys of the class was cleaning the board , weren't even looking at my side and of course,l felt comfortable.
I left my childhood friends as they are also my classmates.
The school bell rang and a senior student in her final year ,l recognised yelled through the window,l looked around and it was for me.
"Are you not hearing me?"she said again now entering the classroom.
"Am new here and don't know my way round "l said bodly
"You should have said it quite early"she replied me in a firm and calm way .
"Follow me"she said and we moved to the assembly hall .she pointed my class section,l walked in and all eyes looked my side .l was late ,"early birds"l said out but not quite loud .The boy beside me starting laughing loudly that he got caught .
He was asked to recount why he was laughing but he didn't say anything,my heart sank in ,he was going to expose me but he didn't.
The long conversation of the school assembly came to an end.
I got introduced to my form teacher and of course she will introduce me to the rest of the class.
"Hi, everyone.you have a new classmate"she said to the class and she turned to me ."introduce yourself." I nodded slightly and started the brief introduction
"Am Purevarne,and l trust in you guys to help and be very good to me"l said with a smile .well,if there is one thing that l am it will be confident.
They clapped surprisingly well to my little rude speech.
"Class prefect,make sure you bring the homework to my office,and Pure you seat beside him "she said pointing at a familiar face.lt was the boy that nearly exposed me on the first of school.
I walked up to the seat , brought out my books from the backpack
"Hi,am Steven and is nice to have you as a seatmate "he said smiling.
I nodded."was he trying to receive another introduction or is he being naive "l thought"whatever,he will not get what he is looking for "l said again in my mind.
"Everyone,on your knees "a voice echoed.
"At the count of three "the voice repeated again and immediately start counting
I turned everyone was kneeling
"Why are you guys kneeling?"l asked Steven
"He is the most notorious person in this school to give punishment for hearing other students talking in their class,it most times is always him finding a way to imprint pain to us"he said whispering.
"You,you why are you sitting?"the figure of a crazy student came close to me
"Because l can "l said and everyone echoed wow.
"Didn't you hear my voice?"he asked looking annoyed
"I did "l said almost interrupting him
"Follow me to my class " he commands
It is known very well that when a senior student calls you into their classroom,the matter will be handled by all in that class both the ones involved and the ones not involved .l stood up and followed him.
"Let him do his worst"l said to myself.
"Pure,you will be fine"Steven said to me
"As l should be "l replied.
I entered the so called senior classroom and it was absolute crazier as l thought it will.
"Kneel down "he commanded
"Sorry ,but l can't kneel "l said and immediately his classmates got quite ,l could feel their eyes piercing through me.
I looked around and saw the senior from the morning but she was busy writing something out "looks like she is reading "l said to myself
"Is like you can't read the room?"the voice said again
"Richard,can you leave the girl" a teacher entered into the classroom and asked him
"You will hear from me "he said to me and l replied him"am waiting".
I walked into my class and my classmates was shocked.
"That was quick"Steven said to me as l sat down
"Is me,so yeah"l said smiling.
