Chapter 100 - Chapter 100: I, "Am Not Afraid of Death"

Mono silently walked over to Six's side.

Crack, crack...

The human hand was now completely mangled.

"Hey, hey, that's enough. It's time to go."

Mono hurriedly stopped Six's actions.

It seemed Six also had some violent tendencies; that wasn't exactly a good thing. Six finally stopped her finger-breaking spree.

Then, her small figure stood up, silently walked to Mono's side, and took his hand.

Mono gave it a silent squeeze.

It was soft, cool, and just the right size, but who would have thought what this insignificant, ordinary-looking little hand had just done?

Mono once again held a half-second of silence for the mangled palm on the ground.

Let's go.

He then pulled Six along as they continued deeper into the room.

The light from the flashlight was sufficient, making everything along the way clearly visible.

They didn't encounter any more accidents during the interval.

Finally, after passing through a doorway, they found an intact fuse on a Table.

Mono felt a surge of joy in his heart.

The location of the fuse was the same as in the game; if that was the case,

then the other fuse should be in the other room?

Mono silently hopped onto the Table, which wasn't very high, set down the flashlight, hugged the shoulder-high fuse, and walked to the edge of the Table.

"Little Six, catch!"

Hearing him, Little Six stood on the floor below the Table and reached out her hands.

Mono tossed it, and the fuse traced a long arc through the air before landing in Six's hands.

Mono picked up the flashlight and jumped down from the Table as well.

"Shall we go?"

Mono glanced at Six, who was hugging the fuse, and smiled.

Things were going much more smoothly; now he just needed to find one more fuse to be able to open the elevator leading to the basement.

The two of them returned the way they came, and soon, they were back on the second floor where the elevator doors were located.

Without stopping, Mono continued down the second-floor corridor until he reached the door of a room on the other side.

This was the room where the other fuse was hidden.

The main door to the room wasn't opened with a key; beside the door, there was also a switch that required a fuse slot to be activated.

A fuse was needed just to open the door.

Since Mono already had the fuse from the opposite room in his hands, the electric door naturally couldn't block his path.

"Little Six, plug it in."

Mono pointed to the slot by the door and spoke to Six.

Even though Six had just jogged all the way while hugging the fuse, her face wasn't flushed and her heart wasn't racing.

She nodded and walked toward the edge of the slot on her small feet.

*Click*

As the fuse was inserted into the trigger switch slot, the electrically driven door vibrated for a moment and then slowly opened.

Mono pulled Little Six's small hand and hid in a corner, waiting for a while and listening quietly; he didn't detect any strange movements coming from inside the door.

"Let's go."

Only then did Mono lead Little Six by the hand and head inside.

Carefully crossing the threshold, the scene inside the door came into their view.

It was a somewhat dark corridor.

On one side of the corridor was a solid concrete wall.

On the other side were two rooms separated by iron bars.

Through the bars, the scene inside was clearly visible.

Looking from the corridor,

the first room was completely empty.

However, at the doorway at the far end of the room, a motionless doll was standing.

Mono silently observed the motionless doll for a few moments, then walked to the second room.

The second room was also somewhat claustrophobic.

Inside, a chair was set up.

Of course, it wasn't a simple chair; it was fitted with many electronic contacts and an iron headgear.

A cable extended from under the chair along the floor, leading to a switch mounted on the wall.
